  1. I'd probably read the lot in 3-4 days, maybe as long as a week so I'm not too worried about spoilers even if they all came out on the same day.
  2. Because the scholarly researchers who could have thought of that plan were the ones who absolutely wanted to use it and had already been somewhat corrupted by it probably.
  3. Everyone else had already decided that someone was going to take up Stormform, I think it was just her hoping that if it was her she'd be able to realize the danger and stop anyone else from taking it.
  4. Maybe? He'd still have to be pretty close though, the Full Lashing seems to just be some kind of Stormlight-superglue so throwing it through the air is inaccurate at best. Plus he'd get shot several times before he managed to do so.
  5. I think it's the Voidbringers people weren't believing about, not the storm. Since they're likely still holed up on the Shattered Plains after that massive storm collision it seems pretty fair that they wouldn't have had time to attack anyone else yet. As for Shallan stumbling upon the caravan, they're heading from the same place in the same direction, that's not a coincidence that's an inevitability that they'd meet up. Although the skill-learning is admittedly a bit coincidental. Buying new slaves is still cheaper than training up new warriors, that's the whole point of the Bridge crews, to soak up arrows without depleting Sadeas' armies. Also lets him get to the Gemhearts quicker which are worth thousands of times the cost of a few slaves. Shardblades are frequently mentioned to be lighter than ordinary swords.
  6. That's only the Full Lashing, pretty sure it explicitly states for the other two that it needs contact.
  7. ((Trade secret. Now to get to work on some RP plot.)) Voidus strolled through the 34th Alley, nodding as he passed a pair of acolytes holding a squirrel and trying to turn it sideways through the 5i th dimension. They'd move on from those kinds of novice tasks soon enough. Eventually he reached an intersection between Alleys and stepped into the meeting room with the other Lurkers, taking a position at the front with the various heads of departments. "My fellow scientists and friends." Voidus began. "We face a troublesome situation, we do not currently know if it is sabotage, a rival faction or something altogether different but there have been numerous... incidents of late. Just this morning in local Guildonian time a litter of pugquisitors escaped from the third Alley. Luckily since they're pups they shouldn't be able to kill more than a few dozen people each before we catch them again but this is still a serious breach of security. I trust I don't need to remind everyone what happened to that universe we were in when the Elantriant swarm got loose?" A grave look passed over the assembled Lurkers, all whispering cut off. "Good. Well we shall be sending teams out to track down the missing Hemalurgic creations, ensure that no other groups manage to catch them first, they're property of the Alleys and we will not relinquish them to any group who lacks the scientific understanding to properly study or contain them." The crowd nodded solemnly in approval before splitting up, departing for the main streets of Guildonia through various portals and Aonic devices.
  8. ((We took four hulks, spiked them and then combined into a hulk-koloss. He destroyed a few dimensions of space-time but hey that's why we have so many spare dimensions in the Alleys.))
  9. I choose to believe that means it's one of the 10,000 Epics I haven't introduced to the game yet then
  10. So Scribbler's about to wake up for the day to leave for the medical clinic, Kobold would Arsenal be likely to send her at all or should I just have her hear about it and go there of her own accord?
  11. Being skewered with spikes isn't a requirement for joining the DA, just a passion for science. Also I wouldn't say no to a chocolate-based bribe of some kind. Anyways welcome to the forums!
  12. Stormlight>Kingkiller>WoW
  13. Our first target was Traceria, a long-time Sharder. We don't just target new Sharders, there are just more new Sharders than regulars so it comes up more often.
  14. The DA gets plenty of advertising anyway so I'll use the opportunity instead to post a piece of unrelated trivia. If you took all the $1 bills in the world and stacked them on top of each other, you would destabilize the economy and quickly cause the stack to fall over.
  15. *Edited for accuracy after DA black op.
  16. We're one of the most exposed guilds on the forum, we're everywhere.
  17. ((I have several thousand Epics, most of whom I've devised ways for them to level cities or destroy the universe. I'm also the First Lurker of the Dark Alley whose powers encompass pretty much everything and are very poorly defined.))
  18. People have been doing that for a while, the Alleys have survived the anti-bakery, the light Alley and others. The Dark Alleys shall always survive.
  19. He'd try to start up a romantic relationship with Vin and she'd tear his throat out and feed it to TenSoon.
  20. I like both but particularly the first since I'm fond of Epic powers that come at a cost.
  21. Warbreaker probably since it has more connections with other cosmere books, then do a really quick read of SoS before BoM comes out so you can dive straight into it.
  22. Yeah, anywhere other than Roshar doesn't have spren and even if they do we don't know if pain spren can be attracted to pain that is felt in the cognitive realm itself, they're usually attracted to something in the physical realm. As for giving birth I don't think it would change much, conceiving a child in the cognitive realm might result in some weirdness though.
  23. Kelsier all the way, Kirito is a guy with some good reflexes. Kelsier is a ninja-wizard-assassin who also has excellent reflexes but also has drastically enhanced physical abilities and senses as well as the ability to manipulate metal. And fly.
  24. Doesn't solve the problems it would cause though, Epics in the EoO page aren't necessarily going to be accepted as cannon. There's a few ways around that still, mind control, summoning non-humans to fulfil the same role, sentient elemental beings and such. Or you could just change the power so it still does basically the same thing but isn't so similar to mitosis (Which from what we know of Epics is what should happen even if it were the same power, it would express slightly differently) for instance I have a reincarnation Epic profile who when they died came resurrected twice in separate bodies. Repeat that enough and you still have a clone army, just without strictly cloning.
  25. Well they make most Epic tech so that's kind of a given whether or not they're an Epic.
