  1. Yeah I'm pretty opposed to having another cloning Epic, there's already one in the Australia RP who can clone other people, plus the other new one who just appeared, having yet another one would be pretty strongly defiant of canon. We can get away with a bit since there's bound to be some lost information once Oregon is destroyed but having a bunch of cloning Epics just doesn't seem possible.
  2. It's been pretty frequently speculated, personally I'm on the fence on it it could be but there's really just the name to go on so it's hard to say.
  3. I was initially confused as well, I take it she was just using the blunt end though Edit: Ninja'd
  4. Well there was still some pretty heavily implied sexism, yes Noble houses used Allomancers but that's because they pretty much had to, TLR didn't need to extend his Obligator recruitment to women since Obligators don't need to be Allomancers.
  5. It'd likely extend your life pretty significantly but you would eventually die.
  6. Just remind yourself that some day they'll all be destroyed along with the entire state.
  7. I like this portmanteau, as you pointed out it's a combination of awesome and disturbing but from another point you could take it to mean something so disturbing that it's awe-inspiring. Like Deathwish's attitude to women.
  8. In honor of your present rank (And inspired by a scene from the 1999 film Mystery Men): The Waffler Primary power: Waffle-iron summoning, capable of summoning a hot waffle-iron at a moments notice, which he may then use to smash into his opponents head or sear their face. Secondary power: Truth syrup, can turn any low-fat maple syrup into a truth syrum that compels those who drink it to tell the truth. Catchphrase: 'Goin crispy, other Epics are history'
  9. I only just realized this was Venture since I read it as a notification first and I was just wondering how in the world I was supposed to come up with an Epic for someone new who I know nothing about In light of this I present: Formerly Primary Power: Recollective dissonance, whenever anyone meets Formerly their memories of the meeting are slightly altered, details about his appearance are altered at random, as is his name. This results in people calling him something different every time they meet him and no one knowing what his true name is, though he refers to himself as 'Formerly'. Secondary Power: Neuropathic manipulation, capable of inflicting severe pain upon people at will, this pain is not accompanied by any physical symptoms but can be severe enough to cause people to fall unconscious.
  10. Having two cats myself I'm well aware that this posture usually means it's about to try to attack my face or arm.
  11. Well then I suppose you get two Epics for Calamitas since I just finished one based upon an old picture Catastrophic (Because we don't have nearly enough puns in Epic names) Primary Power: Weather manipulation, capable of localized but non-accurate changes in the weather, inducing violent storms and even tornadoes. Secondary Power: Animal summoning, Catastrophic is capable of summoning a variety of domestic pets at will. By combining this with his first power he is quite literally capable of making it rain cats and dogs. Passive: Feline affinity, Catastrophic is able to instantly gain the trust and affection of any cat or kitten he meets and has quietly set up a small house for his feline friends.
  12. The ways of Calamitas are not so confined. FourthWall Primary Power: Narrative awareness, any time that anyone is talking about or viewing any kind of recording of FourthWall she becomes aware of it. Secondary Power: Narrative alteration, can alter the narrative of any such conversation or recording, FourthWall frequently uses this ability to chastise anyone who tries to talk about her. Tertiary Power: Sonic resonance, capable of emitting infrasonic sounds which can break walls. (And other things like peoples skulls I suppose) Also: Pugdor the Perfect Primary Power: Flight, unlike most flying Epics, Pugdor achieves the feat through a feature of anatomy as he can sprout a pair of wings whenever he chooses. Secondary Power: Shapeshifting, Pugdor the perfect has the ability to transform into a pug at will, however he retains the wings he possesses in his human form and cannot hide them while in pug form. Tertiary Power: Infectious Adorbs, anyone who is bitten by Pugdor in his pug form becomes completely infatuated with how cute he is and is rendered unable to take any hostile actions against him
  13. Ok, so I found an incredibly awesome picture that Mestiv has posted here. I plan on using this as inspiration for the powerset but as usual I'm having trouble with a name. Any suggestions?
  14. Yeah I thought about that line and realized it's where the parallel broke down since unlike Grinches our spambot clearly has no heart at all. I like your substitution very much.
  15. As opposed to the spambot who stole Calamitas?
  16. Hmm, this one might be a bit more difficult, you don't have a name, title or signature that I can turn into an Epic quickly. This may need some more thought. But have no fear! The spirit of Calamitas shall inspire me to write for you a most wonderous profile, filled with wonder, or possibly horror. Or a brick made of porridge. You never really can tell with Epic profiles.
  17. No on leap years we celebrate it on Feb 29th and instead skip it on the 4th Sunday of August. We also don't celebrate it on December 20th, because that's the summer solstice here and it's just way too hot to be porting into alleyways lugging Epic profiles and cookies. You certainly may. PoultryEpidemic Primary Power: Can infect chickens with a form of plague, causing them to rampage and peck at peoples ankles. The chickens also get horrible stomach aches and headaches but they can't really reveal that fact since they're chickens. Secondary Power: Metal durability manipulation, can either vastly increase or decrease the durability of any metal in his vicinity.
  18. A Calamitas gift for Mail. Busdiver Primary power: Phasing, is able to phase through any solid surface, but only if that surface is part of a bus. Secondary Power: Bus Breath, Busdiver is able to breath in buses instead of oxygen.
  19. That's what worries me, last time that happened the character progression ended with Starkiller being able to move star destroyers with his mind and having absolutely no conceivable way for anyone to beat him. Granted that was a game but at this point Rey only just learned about the force and is casually beating up budding sith lords, any further progression for her character just leads to her becoming absurdly overpowered and meaning the next enemy has to be inexplicably more powerful as well.
  20. Another anonymous present since I'm in the Calamitas spirit. Lizard Monarch Primary power: Reputation inflation, anyone who meets the Lizard Monarch is immediately compelled to remember and talk about him as well as like anything he does. Secondary Power: Lizard Monarch is also capable of creating numerical representations of the reputation of anyone in his vicinity, the value being displayed in a floating green box next to their face. Lizard Monarch's own reputation is of course higher than that of everyone else. Passive ability: Lizard Monarch has been crowned the king of a group of reptiles which he fondly calls his Kobolds, reptiles are known to suddenly become sentient and have increased cognition in his presence, joining his growing Kobold army.
  21. You can indeed. SomethingClever Primary Power: Planar severing, capable of severing all matter along a single plane which may be up to several dozen meters wide. While he is only capable of generating a single plane of severing force at a time they act instantaneously and so he may create several in quick succession in order to affect multiple selected targets. Typically uses this ability to decapitate his enemies though he has also been known to simply sever extremities in order to disarm his victims. Secondary Power: Ninja manifestation, capable of summoning living shadowy humanoid creatures that obey his will. Weakness: Not being able to access a certain forum with a smiley he enjoys. Something Clever attacked a hospital during his rending, when asked for his name he realized he hadn't thought of one and told the surrounding humans to think of something clever. To his dismay the phrase spread around the city as his only identifying name, with even news reports calling him 'SomethingClever'.
  22. Merely belonging to the Reckoners RP gives you an aura that will compell people to give you odd looks. It's our superpower. Also I nearly forgot this one but another Calamitas gift for an unnamed recipient. Shipmistress Primary Power: Retrocognitive adaption, can alter people's memories and emotions to cause two people to feel as though they have been in a long-lasting romantic relationship. She can alter certain details of their relationship but only so long as it relates to this romantic entanglement. Secondary Power: Ship manifestation, can create ships of varying sizes out of seawater and can also mentally manipulate them to a degree. Shipmistress enjoys sailing around the world, picking up people that she 'ships' and then marrying them aboard her ship before convincing them that they are in a loving relationship and leaving them ashore to find the next lucky couple.
  23. Calamitas is celebrated 364 days out of the year.
  24. KingofHearts Primary Power: Minor mind control, able to subtly influence the minds of others, both humans and Epics. Generally utilizes this ability to make sure that his enemies aim for his head. Passive: Healing factor, an odd healing passive KoH only heals when he suffers damage to his head, any other damage will not heal until he has also suffered some form of head wound.
  25. No I get that, it's just not really conceivable since to start with it'd need to fundamentally alter the entire universe every time someone uses their abilities and also while I generally don't like to state absolutes like this there's really no conceivable change to physics that would allow someone to alter reality with their mind, a 'mind' isn't a fundamental particle that has it's own laws of physics, it's a collection of very specific matter arranged in a particular way, you can't specifically make that able to alter other matter (Particularly one specific type of matter like water) through physics. I just think that's a far too complicated answer with consequences so vast I can't even begin to list them. Altering physics itself is something that would mess with the universe so drastically that it would: a) Kill every single Epic the first time they tried to use their powers Probably kill everyone else and destroy the entire planet too, if not the universe itself.
