  1. Funtimes gets a family, the twins maybe lose a family. Karmic balance of the Reckoners RP.
  2. Not that I'm aware of, it's either monozygotic (Identical) or dizygotic (Fraternal) Maybe having them just being very similar looking dizygotic twins could work, I'll have to think about it.
  3. Backstory kind of needs them to be twins. If it were just the powers thing I could ship Impact off to Astoria and rely on MV being too busy fulfilling every tsundere trope I can think of to cause much trouble but the pain and sensing location thing is really going to be a problem.
  4. Could have it limited to a certain degree of pain I suppose, otherwise I'd have to change the end of the Deathwish scene too. I'm sure the twins would rather deal with pain every time they use their powers but still be in a universe without Nighthound.
  5. Well I can try but now every time I write one of them my OCD is going to act up and I'll be twitching for hours. Darn canon destroying my Epics.
  6. Salem doesn't have too much in the way of plot at the moment, mostly it's focussed around an arena where Epics and occasionally non-Epics do battle against each other on an Astral plane, provided by the ruler of the city; Soulcaster. As for the Epic, Bioterror maybe? He could eat a sword pretty easily I guess. Other than that I can't think of anyone.
  7. For dreaming eternally. (I want to get back to being a chasmfiend corpse ) On a more serious note: For an awesome fabrial theory that I should really put in my espoused theory section.
  8. "Not really." Bioterror replied, doing his best to look suitably chastised. "Just gave us the mission and we were off." He played idly with one hand as he talked, prodding it with his other hand as he reformed the bones beneath, fingernails growing to claws, fingers elongating, knuckles becoming more pronounced. "Not much I need though, you just tell me who to kill and pay me well enough for it and I'm happy." The hump on his back grew slightly less pronounced as he used the materials within, altering minor aspects of his body into a more feral appearance. It was time to try on a new persona, if he was going to live in a new city he might as well let himself become well known for something. "Speaking of pay, I don't suppose you've got any servants you'd mind losing would you? Maybe just an arm or two? Feeling a bit peckish."
  9. Well we never saw him do so, so there's no reason to believe he could. But again that gunpowder is at least stuffed into the barrel, one could argue that his power is to replicate anything placed in the barrel of a gun.
  10. Oh yeah I hadn't thought about that in reverse, also since MV is looking for Impact it would be a bit weird to ask Backtrack for help if she could just sense the powers being used. Really not sure what to do now.
  11. Thought so, iron wire should also work for a more portable variant, plus you can handily tether yourself to the ground so you don't fly off to far, if you were relying on an iron wall one gust would push you off and then you'd splat on the ground
  12. Cancellers only cancel active abilities (Which completely canonizes Corpsemakers abilities) On Assumers I really don't think they're that bad personally, they need touch in order to actually steal your powers which means teleporters, telekinetics, forcefielders, speed Epics, flyers and a bunch of others are safe. I actually like it because it does add a way to kill High Epics, and hence pose an actual danger to them, since to date there are very few instances of a character discovering another characters weakness. And on the twins, unfortunately they have been tested and confirmed identical and it's a pretty big part of both their characters, retconning the pain thing in wouldn't actually be too hard compared to retconning them to be non-identical my worry is more that if they both have both powers it would be pretty much guaranteed to make them overpowered as hell, particularly Impact who is actually smart with her powers.
  13. Yeah, Soulcaster is generally pretty laid back but he really doesn't like people killing all his Epics, particularly with explosions like that that also destroy his town. (Do you have any idea how much paperwork he needs to do to organize rebuilding? ) So I'm still inclined to think the Hunter would be murdered to death shortly after.
  14. Next one will be set in the multiverse, not necessarily with the Reckoners, so I imagine Calamitys race will play a bigger role still but there's certainly a lot left to be explored.
  15. Still doesn't solve the problem, we need gravity when walking, look at astronauts, walking becomes a bit difficult there. When we push off from the ground we don't just move forward, we move upward as well, normally gravity pulls us back fast enough to take our next step but when we move 10x faster it wouldn't have the time
  16. Not to be too dark or anything but he might have used them as a source of spikes when he got low.
  17. Missed you in the Wastelands, thread kind of died a bit. Hopefully Calamity will perk it back up though.
  18. Because the bullets contain the gunpoder, not the gun itself. You strap the energy pack onto the gun not the bullet.
  19. Books are a lot more fragile than solid metal, you can open a doorknob pretty quickly without damaging it as long as you don't try to force it. In world evidence, if it wasn't running is almost impossible, running with any kind of precision is certainly impossible, your hang time between steps would be dozens of times longer, it'd be like walking on the moon. Could do I suppose but it seems like a lot of difficulty to go to, you'd probably sink more time in than you'd save. It must, otherwise you wouldn't get bullettime when you tap it. If you want to strain your eyes insanely then sure. Not necessarily, more likely you'd just be dead. You'd get better at processing fast speech, maybe peripheral cues but I don't see your actual reflexs speeding up. There are plenty of things in the world that move far faster than we do that we need to process, storing speed isn't going to help much.
  20. Yes but it's only pretty recently known still. Some time in the last year I think we found out.
  21. It stores something like your interaction with the Higgs field, Brandon is a great author partially because when he doesn't know a field he consults an expert, I believe he consulted a surgeon pretty frequently for Stormlight and Kaladin and I'm sure he's consulted physicists for Allomancy.
  22. Just off the top of my head: Multiple PIs Possessing powerful Epics for days on end Possessing canon characters Being a famously powerful Epic that is not mentioned in canon for no reason Travelling across countries Out of character text Has the most powers in the world despite not having the most powers in the world Destroying canonical characterization New Epic in Portland
  23. It is the only post on a new account that only joined today, so either a troll or someone just unfamiliar with the RP. A lot of things wrong there.
  24. Anyone want to address the new poster?
