  1. *faints in shock* I think I would die without tea. When we've been really poor and it's a choice between dinner and tea I pick tea.
  2. Oh, so just for boiling the water? What kind of hotel doesn't have a kettle? And a bunch of free teabags that I always steal.
  3. That's actually less clear, magical healing might always need to 'heal' in some way, it won't heal things that you don't think are damaged but that doesn't mean it'll re-damage things that healed naturally, Kals mark doesn't start bleeding like it was freshly applied.
  4. Welcome to the forums! Mistborn and Elantris are some of my favorites, Stormlight is arguably better written but I just love Mistborn so much and Elantris was the first book I read. Would you care for a welcome to the forums cookie? It's got plenty of healthy minerals like iron in it.
  5. Just chiming in to say I agree with the OP, that's been my understanding of Electrum-shadows and their interaction with Atium.
  6. Well it depends if you're talking atium vs. atium or atium vs. nothing. In the former case it doesn't really help at all, you see too many futures to be able to react to them all, it's not that Vins atium was better than Shans it's just that she was prepared.
  7. I've played plenty of digital RPGs but sadly was never around anyone else who expressed an interest in tabletop RPGs so I have no experience there.
  8. It's not too hard if you know the tricks to it, when you get particularly good you read two pages at once. 10 seconds a page is pretty good as speed readers go but some people practice it to just insane levels. But slower is usually better, I only ever speed read if I'm skimming through an article or reference in search of something in particular.
  9. Investigation would probably largely fall to Sentry yeah.
  10. I like to think I'm nice but if that was me I'd just tell them to plan better next time and actually book adjacent seats rather than annoying other people.
  11. I'm 63 on the inside, the day I fix my cane I'll be waggling it at young whippersnappers on my lawn.
  12. Sure if by 1000 Mistborn you instead wanted 2. That's all that was left after the first generation nobles were given Allomancy.
  13. Yeah I can speed read but I usually don't, you miss too many little things that way. I usually stick with my just pretty fast reading
  14. Voidus' diet in 2 parts: Potatoes. Other things Mrs. Voidus makes him eat.
  15. There are multiple conflicting WoBs on the matter actually, one that says it would be very painful and probably kill you, the aforementioned splicing one and also I believe one that says that you could indeed only use a spike that had killed you and stolen your powers. So short answer: I'm not sure Brandon's actually completely decided yet.
  16. It's not official until you both have costumes and names. And on this cliffhanger ending, thread is now locked.
  17. Because she knew what to look for and had the resources of an entire city. And was one of the most instinctive Mistborn to ever live. How? Where would you get a thousand Mistborn from?
  18. I think they form portals between rooms. Whenever someone is looking for a particular book it portals its way into the room of someone who is packing books. Only returning when you're no longer looking for it.
  19. How would any other Mistborn discover it? Especially the alloys. Holding the power of a Shard expands your mind, I find it very difficult to believe that holding and using the power of Preservation wouldn't give you some level of understanding over Allomancy.
  20. All the ages of eternity. Or 23. I always forget which.
  21. Well it may have been a joke but I am totally fine with a pony Epic.
  22. I imagine burrowing is a lot easier when the ground is mostly ash. Or perhaps they just sit down and get covered in a light coat of ash to disguise them. Either way it is an interesting question. He would have had to act pretty quickly, I imagine most of them would have died when the world got all scorched.
  23. They also look like horrific abominations, the problem with giant sized creatures tends to be that if you want them to be self-supporting they need to look like that, misshapen blobs with huge amounts of muscle to heave themselves around. That also took a mistwraith its entire life, to say that one could eat something a dozen times larger than that might be a bit of a stretch.
