Just had a thought for the Wastelands, I was just thinking about how all three cities visited in the books are significantly altered by the powers of the ruling Epics but we don't really get many of those huge, city-wide effects in game other than Corvallis. Then I also thought that it's weird that we have no flying cities either in-game or in canon and then I remembered that we have a few cities spare in the Wastelands and thought I might try to bribe someone into taking one by establishing the ruler as a gravity-manipulator capable of affecting an entire city. So the city of Hobart is now home to a gravity manipulator who has reversed gravity for the entire city, leading to all citizens of the city being functionally weightless as the city floats around Australia.

That could be a reference to 10 Surges, not 10 pairings.
-
Gravitation and Soulcasting. Although we've seen relatively little of what some Surges can do so it's hard to say.
-
Well to start with the spren only managed by copying the honorblades and only 10 of those exist, other than that it's a little hard to say what's simply in world conjecture and what's hard fact but the 10 surges are portrayed as having set relationships.
-
A terrific blend of whimsy and something I hesitate to even call horror because it's so horrible not even horror can be in the same genre as it.

Lucy took note of the giant pillar as doctor Game pointed it out. Grimacing as he mentioned the only Epic who could be responsible for it. Quicksilver was a scourge on the city but this was far beyond what he'd done before, attacking the entire city like this... It must have been because of what had happened the day before, striking now that the city was weakened. "Missiles are still not the appropriate response." She muttered under her breath as she continued glaring at the war between Arsenal and Quicksilver playing out through the skies. Soon she noticed a dim sound seeming to come from all directions, it sounded like speech but it was hard to tell. Her own radio crackled dimly and might have been trying to make the same sound but with the damage from Arsenals missiles still in effect it was hard to tell. Clenching her fists in anger Lucy began to concentrate, skin itching as tattoos from across her body shifted around, some pulling off entirely and others merely changing position. "I need to see what's happening out there." She said as she strode towards the door. "Stupid Epics are trying to destroy the city again." She'd almost reached the door when she realized that she was supposed to be protecting the hospital, not leaving it undefended in the middle of a war. Her compulsion to go out and try to tear both Epics to pieces warred with her desire to protect and she finally relented, pulling out her writing kit and beginning to scrawl across the ground to set up more protections. "Not sure how much I can do that will help against those two." She said as she laboriously wrote protections similar to those she'd placed at her parents house. "But it's the best I can do now."

So no one else wanted to try my writing suggestions?

Asking for upvotes like this is generally discouraged. I'll leave it to an admin to make the final decision but this thread will likely be closed.

I would dearly love to adopt this headcanon but it means I'd have to consider Tennant as always the doctor and then his role as Kilgrave becomes slightly awkward.

Much obliged. That is an awful lot of 50s. Maybe 50 is the Selish Shardic number like 10 for Roshar or 16 for Scadrial.

A psychic Epic whose powers are eating food that isn't vegan is certainly possible.

I'll check the exact wording when I can but I think it was just men in english.

I believe it was mentioned that all Dakhor needs sacrifices, but I might be misremembering. I think only the teleportation needs dakhor themselves to be sacrificed, Dilaf said 50 men needed to die for the aon-cancelling, not 50 monks. I imagine other regions have their own methods of gaining access, forging seems pretty unintensive Investiture-wise so they might just have a smaller natural link to the Dor so they don't glow or anything but can channel a bit of it over a very long period of time into a stamp.

I read Calamity first how badly have I ruined books 1 & 2
Voidus replied to corematrix's topic in The Reckoners
One of the first books I remember reading was the fourth in a series, though at the time I didn't know it. I have never done so again. -
I only remember one being mentioned directly but from what I recall I think they're fairly typical pale skinned, dark haired, gaunt, fangs, like blood, get hungry around people, don't like garlic.

Pretty badly. -
The dakhor? Not that I know of, all their magic comes from sacrifice, they don't necessarily need to sacrifice someone every time they use it but at least to gain it.

Doctor Funtimes stepped solemnly up to the podium, a tiny black band on one arm her only concession to usual funeral practice as she continued to wear her usual prom dress. "Hello to everyone, and thank you for coming here today." She began simply. "I've only known that Lightwards was my brother for one day, but during that day we bonded greatly. We had a lot of fun. He died a lot but that's pretty normal I think, and most of those times it wasn't my fault, just all the ones that included jellybeans or flying cakes." She looked down at the body in the coffin, Lightwards face now covered by his green hat. "When we discovered that Nighthound was actually two children in a coat we had no idea that what we had begun would eventually resuly in this. But then I turned the coat pink and the two kids got really mad at me and then Lightwards just resurrected again and started giving everyone pineapple hats. I think he'd died a little too often at that point, he was starting to act weird and he kept insisting that we had to assassinate all the tomatoes. The battle that consequently broke out wrought much destruction and of course the eventual deaths. I must say that I never knew that would happen when I changed Nighthounds coat." She looked at the second coffin, this one covered in pink flowers and holding the now-deceased Nighthound. "But I always kind of hoped it would." She concluded. The thirty four leprechauns in attendance all softly applauded.
