    The 12 days of the cosmere conjures the love of all of the couples that we love to love. Come Siri and Susebron alight with colors. Come Wax and Steris making plans in the skies. Onward Wayne and Melaan sitting at the bar. Forward the knife and Sadeas' face. Adolin and Shallan walk through the highstorm surrounded by light. Hello Vin and Elend shrouded in mist. Here are your 12 days the beginning of many more.

    Contented clouds hover as the edge of the angriest of storms. It rages with a fury unmitigated by mercy. It's voice shouts obscenities that could only be understood by gods. Gashes are torn by the storm born blade of the enraged specter that looms over all. The peaceful fringes seem to ask "what are these things you want? You rage about and destroy, but what do you gain?" Onward the destruction is spurred. Ever faster do the storm's breaths fly. Power shatters mountains and obliterates forests. Cities are made barren, while the sea made desolate. All the while that question echos. It fills all of reality with its wonder. No answer ever comes.

    A single fragment of jewel on a band of shaped steel. Cold to the touch, but inscribed by a roguish smirk. Love separated by petty mortals and their squabbles. Something noble buried with blood soaked dead in drunk earth. Ascendant power fills this simple bit of metal with strength not broken by the feeble attempts of foolish warlords. The stars above glow brighter when this symbol gifted in love touches the air. Songs flit on the wind so long as this continues to exist. Not even the mighty storms can help, but shed a tear when this totem is so very near.

    Joyous wisdom solemnly fills a hall as three wise men face off in an open hall. Vasher stands tall his back to the wall a blade that bleeds black smoke by his side. Sazed sits as a stoic statue copper glinting upon his arms. The third Nohadon is the quietest of them all. Mysteries surround him as a heavy cloak against the cold of ignorance. Each of these stare as a feat of wisdom is brought to them as silence continues its reign over all.

    "We don't have the time then for a full ward. They are likely going to try and leave as soon as they can. The fox seems to be tearing through this land. it seems unlikely that they will wait to take it on. Can you instead of holding them back completely perhaps put stumbling blocks in their way? Could you make it so that attempts to leave by magical means would require them to expend greater power? If they try by physical means could you do the same thing. Forcing them to weaken themselves is the next best thing to setting up a full ward."
