Its interesting. However based on your own rules concerning changing something in the past beyond a point that it changed how could he possibly prevent himself from killing time?

Real reasons for Shattering Adonalsium?
Nathrangking replied to KalaDANG's topic in Cosmere Discussion
As far as Cultivation and Honor is concerned there is a WoB that they loved each other prior to the shattering. Seonid If Cultivation and Honor were romantically involved, why did Cultivation not help Honor against Odium? Brandon Sanderson She did. source StormAtlas (paraphrased) Were Cultivation and Honor romantically involved? Brandon Sanderson (paraphrased) Yes. source -

@SzethIsBadAsHellIt was not Scholar form they have not discovered that one as far as we know. Venli and Dabbid wore Nimbleform. That may be what he is thinking of. You should tag a mod to move this spoiler thread to the Oathbringer forum and mark it [OB] as all Oathbringer threads must be marked.

Why did Shardholders get what they got?
Nathrangking replied to I think I am here.'s topic in Cosmere Discussion
Assuming this theory is accurate though currently we have no idea why the division happened in the way that it did we could look at the following: Edgli: Had a desire to use her power to give her power to others Odium: Felt nothing but hate for Adonalsium and thus received that aspect Culivation: wanted to allow the new world to grow and develop at the time of the shattering. -
@Calderis this may in fact be true in the wrong hands/paws, but in the right ones the price of furniture will come down, dense forests will be cleared, and the dam business will get a boost.

It would be an honor to have some of the more creative among us such as @Brandon Sanderson, @PeterAhlstrom etc... and the critically minded of whom @Delightful, @Kaymyth, @Kingsdaughter613, @Idealistic,, @Pinnacle-Ferring, @Curiosity, @Titan Arum, @Patar, @hoiditthroughthegrapevine, @Silva and those previously mentioned who are only a small sampling to take a look and let me know what you think, what works etc... I suppose that based on interest I could release more, but for now I will release the prologue and act 1 scene 1. I look forward to the feedback and I hope you enjoy it. This play happens to be an adaptation of the biblical book of Esther. Disclaimer: Outside commentary as well minor dramatization are present both now and going forward. So @Toaster Retribution we would need to spike the beaver for Feruchemical steel and Feruchemical gold perhaps pewter as well. We would not need to go fullborn for it to be fearsome. EDIT: Point well taken @Toaster Retribution.

Likely however it would need to be spiked just so to give it enough connection to ascend to the Shard of Ikea!

Having a Bad Day?: Get 'yer Hugs here!!
Nathrangking replied to Curious Anamaximder's topic in General Discussion
@Caesura This is indeed an awful awful situation. I can't even truly pretend to understand how you and your family must feel right now. I know that there are few words which can remove the pain. I hope that that your brother quickly bounces back from this and the whole unfairness can come to an end. *Hugs*. -
The broken one reigns with a fist of unadulterated darkness. Shadow and anarchy convert men to little more than lusting beasts. The ground drinks of spilled blood until it falls into a drunken stupor. Light is drowned out as mankind descends into the era of Odium.

@5ith Ideal That was my doing on page 2. As for your second question he has made us wiser to the secret Sloth overlords.

@Raphaelle Welcome to Brandon's perpendicularity. I know that I speak for the sharder community I say that we look forward to hearing all of the theories and other assorted pieces of Cosmere knowledge that you bring to the table. Enjoy all that we have to offer except the cookies that may be offered. Once again welcome.

@SteeldancerI might argue that the transportation surge has something to do with the direction of the inkspren shadow. Could it transport/transplant the location of the shadow in relation to light?

just based on the book itself it seems to be death. The book itself and Jezrien refer to it as death. Plus what it does seems similar to what Nightblood does which is undoubtedly death. Ash refers to it as death as well. Brandon is pretty quiet on the subject. He RAFO's the questions.

137. If you ignore rule 132 do not stick around after hours to work on the problem bad things will result. 138. Don't ever talk to the random stranger who appears right after you have considered doing something improper. It can only end badly.

[OB] Who do you look forward to seeing?
Nathrangking replied to Toaster Retribution's topic in Stormlight Archive
I need some herald of luck if only to observe what happens when he either meets dalinar or Taravangian though other match ups would be welcome. -

@Steeldancer speak truth to power and do not let the tyrants get you down. Keep your eye on the prize and before you know it you will be freed! -
Questioner [PENDING REVIEW] Pre-Shattering magic in books? Brandon Sanderson [PENDING REVIEW] Let's see. I would count the highstorms as that. Highstorm predates the Shattering. Now, the highstorm has been changed dramatically by certain events, but the highstorm does predate the Shattering. source Brandon Sanderson (paraphrased) There was a point when the Heralds didn't need to draw Stormlight from gems, although the Stormlight-in-gems predates Honor's arrival. There was a following conversation about this topic, about how a lot of the elements were there before Honor arrived, but he co-opted them. So, Stormlight were there, but there are big differences now. Footnote: Unspecified question by Pagerunner. source
