  1. Probably discard it as I lack the stirmlight to use it. What would you do if you found the one ring in your pocket?
  2. "I am glad that those titles meet your approval. Names have power where magic is concerned. Titles are more than sufficient for the young I think." His voice emotionless and uncaring.
  3. "I am a slayer of rogue deities, master of mindscapes, knight of the halls of time, and guardian of the seals of destiny." He looks calmly, but critically at the newcomers.
  4. "Both Mindscapes and Shadowrealms rely on the manipulation of ancient splodges of potential that were formed in the very beginning of all. The strong and knowledgable can shape these worlds in wondrous and horrific ways. Gods are usually responsible."
  5. Depends who they are. Do I like them? Are they coming after me? Is there a lucrative book deal to be had?
  6. Passable as compared to what? The emotional power of that climax is epic!!
  7. He sighs. " Careful kid your youth is showing." "Journeying through the shadows and the dark is always an adventure. Show us the way." He draws his light into himself. A sinuous longsword of light appears in Nath's hand, vanishes, appears in his other hand and jumps back. Raw power flows off him and he does little to hide the nature of his power. The air warps around him. His gaze peers into the spaces between realms. In the distance a pure songs flows and grows ever closer.
  8. *Hugs Kindness. You are unquestionably one og bubbliest people that I know. If anyone deserves to have good things happen to them it is you!!
  9. "It is the hardest thing following a path that seems inevitable. Few can accept it and fewer still have the hindsight to make it meaningful. How many millenia it has been since the person with whom I converse in this tongue was not a god out for my blood."
  10. I nod. "I sensed odd power about you. Now it makes sense." He slips into the ancient language that spawns death deities. "The darkness and cold it is not always so. Many misunderstand to their detriment." He sighs. He notices the powerful one who rolls her eyes, but says nothing.
  11. "Not quite." Nath's body erupts in a wave of blinding light. When the light clears he has not moved, but now his glow is more pronounced. "I am an immortal spirit warrior mage. Wizard does not scratch the surface."
  12. Nath looks them over "We really are a group of loosely associated inter-dimensional beings are we not. I am no wizard, though I am a master of many arcane forms and powers."
  13. He nods and straightens up. "Names are a powerful thing as you well know. Once I might have kept mine hidden. Now though, I have grown beyond the simple bonds of a name. Know this wizard, an ally of mine will never be abandoned in a time of need. Your wisdom makes you an ally whether you realized it. It will be an honor to fight by your side."
  14. "Hungry deities have often been a problem. One that I have had to deal with too often. Where are my manners though?" Nath bows shallowly. "I am Nathrangking Slayer of rogue deities, master of mindscapes, knight of the halls of time, and guardian of the seals of destiny."
  15. "A small comfort I suppose. Especially if one is leading an assault against a realm housing a horde of death deities."
  16. I have read some of the lectures that they have posted on the VBM they are great. Rav Grumet whose book on Genesis I mentioned above and whose book on Moshe I have recommended in the past was a student of Nechama Leibovitz fascinating approach to breaking pesukim and perakim down in the way one might other literary texts.
  17. You may need to give it a rest. Knowledge does not grow on trees therefore you should keep and guard what you have got.
  18. "Different realities and their rules you know. By all accounts and your explanation I could be considered a god in some locales. Though I have known and made both friends and enemies of many of the former type." "So I have gathered. Many of the Mindscape mechanics apply to those types of constructs. I could tell you stories about some shadowrealms that you would never believe."
  19. The quotes were a mistake on my part. Genesis: From Creation to Covenant by Zvi Grumet is the name of the book.
  20. "Lovely." Nath did his best to not roll his eyes, but he still twitched slightly. "A worshipper changing their deity is a most novel concept."
