  1. I read it when it came out... although I don't remember much of it... I fully expect that there's a lot of things that have happened that I should remember that I don't... I suppose I'll probably be surprised when I read it again
  2. I finished EotW last night - One thing that I found interesting was that Min had a viewing that matched up with one of the prophecies(?) that Mat got from the Aelfinn:
  3. Uniloc is also suing several other companies for the same reason - link I'm really hoping that this case gets thrown out, since if the courts rule in favor of Uniloc, I would expect to see quite a bit more lawsuits coming up... especially since their patent is for a "system and method for preventing unauthorized access to electronic data" and refers to any kind of central database for registration...
  4. As I said in the chatroom yesterday - I'm in as well.
  5. I believe the reasoning for it only working on a single memory is because you can't relive multiple memories at once, so it wouldn't really be very useful
  6. I picked up Pokemon Conquest yesterday, so I'm playing it as my current hand-held game. I also downloaded the beta version of Dust 514 on Tuesday, so that'll probably be my console game of choice for the next bit as well.
  7. maybe a cast discussing confirmed theories/facts about each shardworld?
  8. So I guess it's about time for me to list my two-tone fudge recipe (since I was talking about it on the chatroom & all): Ingredients: 3 cups Sugar (split into 2 1.5 cup sets) 2/3 cup Evaporated Milk (split into 2 1/3 cup sets) 3/4 cup margarine (split into 2 3/8 cup sets) 1 7oz bottle marshmallow fluff 3/4 cup chocolate chips 1/2 cup peanut butter Steps: 1. Place sugar, evaporated milk, and margarine into a pot & bring to a boil, stirring constantly. Boil for 4 minutes. 2. Take pot off of burner & mix in chocolate chips & half the bottle of fluff to the mixture. Then pour mixture into a pan. 3. Repeat step 1. 4. Take pot off burner & mix in peanut butter & the rest of the bottle of fluff. Then pour this onto the pan (you should have 2 levels of fudge now - chocolate on the bottom, and peanut butter on the top). 5. Refrigerate pan of fudge until cooled. Then eat.
  9. I always got the impression that he wanted to ease the pain of her dying from his memories, and thus was granted the boon/curse of not being able to remember her at all.
  10. Warbreaker takes place before AOL/WOK, but after Mistborn (according to the most recent chronology given) If this is the case, it's possible that it could be Vasher, but didn't Brandon also state that all the AA are written by the same person?
  11. But in order to do any feruchemy, Sazed would need to have a physical body touching the metalmind that he was storing things into. Because of the physical requirement of actually touching the metalminds (along with the lack of a physical body*), I don't think that he can actually practice feruchemy while holding the shards. *The physical bodies of the previous shard holders vanished from the physical realm until after they died, so I would imagine that it holds true for Sazed as well.
  12. Hulk said "Puny god!" I also liked the second secret ending after the credits... Although its surprising how many people left the theatre before that scene came on I think that Mark Ruffelo did a great job as Banner/Hulk as well. I'm probably going to be going to it again with some other friends later as well, so I'm hoping to go to the 2d version next - the 3d seemed ok, but it didn't really seem to add much to the movie.
  13. I feel like it's option 3 - once a feruchemist has a charge stored in the metal, it is invested with a connection to that specific feruchemist's spiritweb. While that connection exists, there is no way for other feruchemists to invest any charges into it, and it would appear as a feruchemically inert metal.
  14. They are splinters of a shard that is still whole as well - since Endowment is still whole, if this could happen, then it would be a method for a shard to increase its own power... and if there was a way of increasing a shard's power, I would see Odium trying to figure out how to do so fairly extensively
  15. For reference: The chatroom is open, hosted on freenode.net, in the #cosmere channel. To access it directly from a web browser, you can go to: http://webchat.freenode.net/?channels=cosmere (Figured I'd post a response here, since this thread hasn't been updated with that information)
  16. I've typically got the forums open all day while at work (although I usually only switch over to it once in a while). I'd probably end up idling in the chat & occasionally speaking up if it existed.
  17. Now I wish I had ruinous metal-altering powers... Then I could make other people look crazy just as sane as I am...
  18. Bah - the members are all in hiding. Only those few who are willing will dare to pop their heads out as fake bait for the admins to chase after when necessary! The rest of the members just hide in their caves, waiting for the perfect moment to strike... And everyone knows that while spambots aren't necessarily more potent, it's just that nobody notices when they go missing.
  19. Frenglish always hurts my head to read. Although nothing compares to listening to the horrible version of frenglish that actually combines the words together... I still wince when I hear "mwi"... Rather than "me" or "moi", it was pronounced "mwi"...
  20. I imagine that the PSN/XBLive icons indicate that the game will be available through PSN/XBLA, and not actually indicate that there will be multiplayer. Looking at the company's website, they haven't released many games, and the company has only been in existance since 2010. A (presumably) small(ish) team + no previous company experience with PS/XB makes multiplayer seem very unlikely to me... but hey, I wouldn't mind being proven wrong
  21. You are only able to equip creatures. If it happens to be an artifact creature (or an artifact currently turned into a creature), you are able to equip it (since artifact creatures count as both artifacts and creatures). Enchantments always specify what they can affect. If it is an enchant creature, it will only affect creatures (which include artifact creatures). If it's an enchant artifact, it'll only affect artifacts (either creature or non-creature). If it's an "enchant permanent", it'll be able to affect both creatures & artifacts (and other enchantments/planeswalkers/lands as well...) Hopefully that answers the question.

    Mistings

I think that this all depends on how far off the ground the plane is... Since there is an upper limit to the distance that the Lurcher would be able to pull from, he couldn't use the pull to slow his descent, and I'm pretty sure that it'd be difficult to pull yourself to the side of the plane to get back in the door... so I imagine that the Lurcher wouldn't immediately die, but they would likely run out of Iron before the plane got close enough to the ground for them to safely land.

    Mistings

Necroing this thread because an answer popped up to me as soon as I read it I might go for being a coinshot (assuming that there's enough metal in pennies/small change to push upon), since it'd be fun to fly. I might also go for being a slider (if it was easy enough to get my hands on bendalloy) - If you had enough bendalloy, you'd have plenty of time to do anything... Deadline at work - no problem! Just bendalloy away!
  24. Situational Memory Recollection - Usually comes up most with book series/comics - As soon as I pick something back up (either the same book, a new book in a series, webcomics, etc), I remember where I left off & what was happening, even if it's been over a year since I last read/saw it. I can sometimes recall conversations with people that happened quite a while ago as well - which gets a bit distracting... "remember when we were talking about X? It was about 5 months ago or so, but...." I also have Speed Reading, Inability to Bleed, sneakiness (just like most people here apparently...) I've also got an Internal Sleep Clock - I'll almost always wake up a few minutes before my alarm goes off, even when I set it for a different time than normal (such as setting it an hour early to get some stuff done before work...) And I've also got a weird case of Light/Heavy sleeping - I'll sleep through things that don't really matter (people playing music, general loud noises... I even slept through the fire alarm going off once) but I'll also wake up to small things - whenever somebody enters my bedroom to wake me up (but not if they are just grabbing something [a book, etc]), a light tap on the door, etc.
