  1. Welcome. Couldn't agree more. Kaladin's my favourite as well. Have an upvote.
  2. Devoured the book as soon as it came out. Really enjoyed it. There were some things I didn't like but you can see that most of it is a set-up for the final book. Can't wait for it.
  3. @Haelbarde Just joined the forum. Anyone still playing? I literally play only halo on Xbox. I'll join the company if its still active.
  4. Actually, that's a good point. Do we know if there's anything like this in place. Getting a discounted, if not free, ebook, once we've purchased a hard copy. It would make it a lot more convenient as I'm planning on getting both anyways.
  5. I can see where you're coming from. I've been on a few other threads discussing the Oaths and quite a bit on this thread as well. It seems like a possibility. This is a good example. It discusses about the significance of oaths for different order. Adolin has not forgotten all those soldiers that died, as should be expected from any good commander and leader. Seems to be in line with Edgedancers for now.
  6. Welcome. I know how you feel. I thought I was over these things *sigh* Glad I was wrong
  7. Thanks for that. It does make some things more clear. We do know that not all the orders got along with each other very well. Perhaps, each of them were doing things they thought were 'right', but another order disagreed with them. And both would have been 'right' according to their interpretation. If this is true, then I can't help but think about the leadership. Do we know if there was a single leader figure for the radiants? Each order had a Herald overlooking them, of course. How far did order and rank go with the radiants in that case. Were they obliged to obey their herald no matter what? Were the bondsmiths then in charge of them? Since they were based in Urithiru, was there like a Council which made decisions. I mean, it's obvious that there was definitely some sort of order in the radiants in previous desolations. Otherwise, orders with differing opinions would be in conflict with each other often. And more importantly, they would not be able to defeat the voidbringers if there wasn't some sort of organisation. I know there's Honor, but we don't know when he was killed by Odium. Or if there even was direct communication from Honor to Heralds after the initial Oathpact. I hope I'm not sidetracking too much here
  8. So if all the Parshendi die, and there are two Alethi left, one normal and one son of honor, in that case is it a joint victory for the Alethi faction AND the Sons of honor?
  9. I want more Lift. Wouldn't mind axies either actually. Spoiler?
  10. I'll be getting an e-book and reading it literally everywhere. RIP my uni lectures and coursework. And read the hardcopy at home. Have to keep it in mint condition for a while
  11. Thanks for the Welcome
  12. Aggghhh I want a Sel World map really bad all of a sudden
  13. In essence, Scadrial is the least populated of the 4, with an estimated population of 15 million in the Northern Continent. That is "certainly the least," followed by Nalthis and then Roshar. The Roshar count probably includes the Parshendi though, so in terms of the human pop, we don't know That's interesting. I was honestly expecting Sel to be the smallest. hmm. I guess we haven't really had much exposition to a lot of the other cities/countries/states, except the one in The Emperor's Soul. The sequels will shed more light unto this matter.
  14. Yessss!!! I'm in. Nice to see it's SA based. It's my favourite and I was expecting another Mistborn. I love the setup. I'll be Zephyras. I actually posted a story about him in another section. A mercenary in Sebarial's camp who has a spren following him...and so on. He's willing to take other roles so Let's GO.
  15. Huh? That's weird I wonder why (Never trust Elenion) ....fyi he said that because in my first game I roll claimed to him cycle 1 and he was an elim and I died hahaha Hahahaha that's just made a lot more sense all of a sudden.
  16. @King ColeWelcome to surgfinders. May you find a surge. Just managed to sneak out of mercenary training in Sebarial's camp on Urithiru. (Captain's looking for me. Hard to keep my abilities a secret and hold back my strength. I am taking swordfighting more seriously now. I've been taking special lessons with Zahel(could he know about my identity. Thats the only reason I can think that he lets me train with him.) Hey Mathis, let me go on a treasure hunt sometime. I want to test my abilities out. Been trying to get the sliding thing on point since you mentioned it last time. I can move much faster and smoother now but can't avoid collisions yet. Zephyras
  17. To be honest, I never noticed the danger. Mainly due to the fact that I have not done a reread (just revisited parts). Even if there wasn't a danger to Shallan's life, with being Jasnah's ward and everything, King.T was a acting a bit suspicious. Although unlikely, It's possible he was keeping her to see if he could eventually drain all of her blood. A good point though.
