  1. Perhaps, out of the box, she does actually have a Coppermind? Does she have an earring of any type? What I can't see however is how it would go from Scadrial to Roshar.
  2. The result? A Feruchemist (now dead) has found a precisely suicidal and willing subject.
  3. A neutral molecule. So no plus or negative charge to twist him to either Shard's Intent and make himself incapable of certain things, like destruction. I like that theory. It just.. explains it well. I am going to go by this 'molecule' theory from now on. Thanks!
  4. I believe it was mentioned that Hoid's message has been conveyed. Is no-one else curious as to Hoid and Sigzil's original relationship? Teacher/pupil? Friend?
  5. This is why they have the (...). If I am honest, I placed them in this way simply because it makes greater sense with the Transformation Surge being Honest/Wise than Learned/Honest and Giving/Honest because they flowed better when making this compensation. For example, if it would have been Giving/Honest, it would have to have been Creative/Wise.. and that doesn't make sense to me.
  6. Perhaps its like Kaladin. Syl remembers being around him for a long time, and perhaps he had access to these abilties then, in a weakened form. Note: Cenn mentions in the first Chapter when Kaladin defends him that 'wisps of light' emit from his body. Stormlight? And so the truthspren have been around Shallan for a while, their mere interest giving her this ability, then the actual bond giving her full access to Transformation also?
  7. THIS! Perhaps this is what Brandon mean when he said the Kandra would appear, but have gone into hiding/have a different role to play, he said something along those lines in the Brandonothology. They either live in the South Pole, or are Sazed's messengers (as he can Hemalurgically access them).
  8. That is good. Meaning that if Sazed were to, well, stop existing. These Shard's fit back into the puzzle of Adonalsium. Maybe that is what they are trying to stop? For Adonalsium to be fixed, all Shardholders will have to die?
  9. Perhaps it is the Ghostbloods? Or whatever faction Jasnah is again. Those seem like very likely candidates. Were they the Versitilians or something?
  10. Atium doesn't seem to be as widespread as it used to. Not that it was ever widespread but now it seems non-existent.
  11. Where did Sazed, as Harmony, move the God metal deposits? That's a good point.
  12. This doesn't mean that I define them. Gravity could then be described as either Guiding/Leading or Protecting/Just, depending on who it shares with.
  13. Also, they're personalities don't match up, and we don't know how Jasnah's Nahel bond with whatever spren it is works. Does she use truthspren too? Doesn't relate with that quote. There isn't enough information about Jasnah to make a conclusion. Shallan however, is almost definitely in Shash #6.
  14. Ok. Look at the attachment. It's important for this theory. That's right, click it! Don't even have to download it! On topic, the point of the attachment is for clarity. I have labelled not only the glyphs but also the Surges as they are drawn on the illustrations. For example, for 'Jes', the Surges are 1 and 2, and for 'Ishi', the Surges are 10 and 1. Good. Now, on with the theory. Okay, so while looking at this chart (which you might need too.. sorry!) from Stormblessed, I got the idea that the shared Surge could be determined by the attributes associated with that order! Because we don't know their names, I am going to refer to the Orders with Jes, Nan, Chach, etc. Right, for example, take Jes. It shares Surge 1 with Ishi, as you can see. Looking at the attributes for Jes on that chart, they are Protecting/Leading. You can see this right? Looking at the attributes for Ishi, they are Pious/Guiding. Now, to me, Leading and Guiding sound very similar. Almost synonymous. And so, I propose that the Surge that they share (#1 on the diagram), could be given the label Guiding/Leading (using a clockwise dominance, ie Ishi-attribute2/Jes-attribute2)! Does it make sense so far? And so that would be the Surge they share. Using this system, I am first going to propose a list. Check on the diagram and the chart to follow along. Guiding/Leading Protecting/Just Confident/Brave Obedient/Loving Healing/Learned (?) Giving/Creative (...) Honest/Wise (...) Careful/Resolute (...) Builder/Resourceful (?) Dependable/Pious Key: (?) = I'm not sure that these go... For Builder, I'm not sure what 'builder' could mean... Healing/ Learned could fit, but do they? (...) = These could be rearranged and still work, but for me these seem to fit better like this. Needs others opinions. 1), 2) etc.= Surge number on the diagram (attached) Also, my last point is then, if that is the list, and if Shallan does fall under 'Shash', which is about 96% in my mind, then the Transformation Surge seems to be #7 (Honest/Wise) because her access to it comes from 'truthspren' which make it a clear link to honest. This would mean that Jasnah would either have to fit into #6 (unlikely) or #7 (which does fit her pretty well, despite the discrepancy between her 'favored' Essences) in order to have access to the Transformation Surge. Which she does. This also implies that Jasnah's link to Transformation may also be through the 'symbolspren' or, I propose, something similar to 'wisespren' (perhaps gaining knowledge satisfies them?). Any, that's my theory. Please can I have feedback because its pretty fundamental stuff and needs double-checking by a (far) more careful/capable hand. Thanks in advance for any response, and I will make edits to the list as per the discussion requires it (i.e it is shown that it is more likely to be this/that combination that that/this). 15. Use this chart from Stormblessed. Completely up-to-date and with additional (welcome) information.
  16. So, my theory is this. Her memories are very perfect. Too perfect for normal human beings.. I think that it is because of the truthspren that her recollections are perfect. Lets say that they are always around, like, they never leave her. She is Nahel-bonded with them, lets assume. So, whenever she purposefully blinks, she exploits some sort of link with the truthspren (using the eyes, perhaps?) who then compose a completely truthful image of the time and store it away within the Spiritual Realm, or wherever the seat of a spren's power is. Much like a Coppermind. In fact, this is an uncanny comparison... Sazed states that when he stores something in a Coppermind, then that information disappears from his mind until he recalls it (perfectly). I cannot remember with passing interest whether Shallan can remember the pictures that she takes until she draws them on the page, but I distinctly remember her saying that after she draws it then the image exists nowhere but the paper, and she completely forgets it. Perhaps this is how the Memory operates? So it would go like this: Physical>Spiritual>Cognitive Blink>Nahel bond>Captured in her mind or Physical>Cognitive>Spiritual Blink>Pushes it through the bond>Spren store it (in the Spirit Realm?) For the capture of a Memory. For drawing, this perhaps? Spiritual>Cognitive>Physical Nahel bond>Pull through the bond>Draw In fact I like this idea of push through a bond and pull through it. Sort of like Mistborn.. so Mistborn would go like this, as a comparison: Physical>Cognitive>Spiritual Metal>Pull power (burn)>Access power (in Spirit Realm) Spiritual>Cognitive>Physical Power>Push out (use)>Physical application Feedback please? Thanks: Aminar Sunblesser
  17. I most likely did, then. Its not like I got the wrong reference at all... I'm assuming that there is some sort of weird things going on on the South Pole. Maybe they are busy experimenting with Mistings and Ferrings? Do they even have them? Maybe 17th Shard have visited them without us knowing...? It's... a conspiracy!
  18. I presume whenever Brandon RAFOs a definitive question (like explicitly mentioning if atium had a side effect similar to lerasium) then we've hit to close to the nail. Or he hasn't quite thought about it (in the case of is [was?] Aona's Shard name Devotion).
  19. Sazed moved everyone in a storage chamber into one area (where they settle and presumably made Elendel). Anyone not in a chamber was either destroyed by the mists and by Ruin's awesome might, or luckily survived perhaps and set up tiny settlements.
  20. The reason re-used spikes may be different is because of Hemalurgic decay. It gets weaker an weaker, and so the twisting becomes lessened, and the gaps (in their minds that allow Emotional Allomancy to control them) get smaller (or bigger?).
  21. He didn't? I hate my memory. Either way, I still think we're onto something about the Spiritual seat of power.
  22. And @Lantern13 I knew that he wasn't talking about Sadeas. If you actually look at the post it says: *emphasis added Just sayin'. And no, I don't think Kaladin wants the Shards personally. That doesn't mean he won't take them for Dalinar because Dalinar has lost a Shard!
  23. Ok I am using a nifty little chart located here for my theory. I am going to propose that Jasnah is Betab (#7) simply because it is the only one that seems to fit her and shares Transformation with Shash. However this implies that Jasnah and Shallan now have two different unique abilities. One may by Travel? But only Transformation is shared.
  24. Completely overlooked the Mal>honourbonded. My apologies. On topic, I will type that up right now.
  25. Interesting. So like how Elend became a far more powerful Mistborn because of the sheer concentration of the Shard Preservation's power was written onto his sDNA? Whereas Vin's was strong enough to become Mistborn, it had been diluted by generations? And so burning it would increase your link to Preservation.. However, wouldn't atium thereby increase your link to Ruin? Instead of seeing the future. Or is seeing the future the best way to Ruin it?
