What characters would you want to meet each other?
ryshadium90 replied to kiapet's question in Cosmere Q&A
Or how about Tindwyl and Jasnah? And maybe Elend and Renarin. Or the Kholin brothers in general. I thought maybe Lightsong and Wayne could have a fun time. Juggling fruit and building cup coaster castles. -
Romeo and Juliet: multiple people die because Romeo couldn't get over the fact that a girl rejected him. (Didn't think I needed the spoilers for this, but I'm sorry if I did spoil it for anyone.)

Books, Movies and Show You Did Not Like

I love that song! Or at least that version of the song. I thought the movie was cleverly put together, what with the forms of magic, but I can agree with its over simplicity. -

Nice to meet you Sifu Hotman. "Zuko?" Toph sniffed the air, but burning cattle hair was pretty pungent. "What next? Waterbenders flying on frozen saucers?"- 58 replies

@Draginon Okay, got you.

What about Elhokar and Elend's Well of Ascension self?
-
Huh, that's an interesting thought. I'm getting a kind of dictator-mob-gatherer kind of vibe as they could start saying they're "god" because they're magic is so different.
-
I like the idea but I feel that they are just too close in age and that Adolin might not be able to handle all the awesomeness. That's a pretty great idea. Wonder how MeLaan and Pattern would interact.

Also, that there's the chance that I can catch a nap.

Highstorms. This world can handle "natural" disasters. Not another crazy human being. Would you rather be in the charging path of a whitespine or between Wayne trying to save Wax?

I know how you feel. The Magnus Chase books are okay, as was the Trials of Apollo. I'll keep reading them because that's how much of a die-hard fan I am, but most of the tone/mood is kind of melding into all the same thing. He can't really seem to get a very different character. I can agree with you on Kite Runner as well, for the losing faith part, but I actually enjoyed it mainly because of the way it was written and how well the characters are expressed. If a book makes me hate/love/feel for the character enough, then it is a great book. Like The Crucible. I had to read that last year and it was so good, but I hated the main character so much. Of Mice And Men is a really good book as well. Though it broke my heart at the end. -

Well, if a limb is severed off, I/you could become the next Lopen.

I'm sorry that you cannot comprehend a simple metaphor. (Though true, it is not my best.)

"I don't know what it looks like, Twinkle Toes! I'm blind!" With another jab, Toph released a barrage of steel pellets, taking note of where Aang was this time. As Appa swept towards the sky on an updraft, she could feel a faint tremor in the air that wasn't because of the sky bison. "Hurry up Appa!" As soon as she said it, something huge and and hot swiped at him, and Toph could smell burning fur.- 58 replies

Ok, let's see...If wit was measured in lengths of string, none of you would have enough to tie a square knot around a flea's pinky finger.

Personally, I think I'd rather be a Parshendi, as I'm not a fan of running the high risk of being beaten up and sewn back together again.

Hm, kind of reminds me of Doctor Strange. Cool!
-
Yep. I understand that too.
-
Same. Feel like I'm just repeating myself or others. Though the fact that I'm repeating other low-life insults besides my own is degrading.
-
Hm, well I have an extremely underdeveloped one that has to do with things more on the atomic level, though I guess it could be seen like bending in Avatar. The simplest explanation would be a vibator, which is a person that basically can cause things to vibrate and depending on their skill can cause earthquakes or a flower to lose its petals. That kind of went with another part where a person can manipulate a material into a gas, solid, or liquid using a precious stone (think birthstones) as a gateway and depending on where you had a scar indicated how quickly you could make the change. These were ideas from quite a few years ago and are pretty rough, but if anyone wants to build through these feel free.

"Oh, sorry. I was aiming for whatever big thing is heading this way. Appa, get a move on! I'm too old to be something's lunch." Toph covered her forehead. Was she really getting that old? That she'd missed the actual threat and hit Aang instead?- 58 replies

Yes indeed! It was beautiful. Except the ending. Until Trials of Apollo. If you know what I mean. I'm as hardcore of a halfblood as I am a Sharder.

Heh, I really like those ones, even if they remind me of the Penguins and the Nightwatcher.
