...in a fashion show! The losers are shamed to the point of jumping off the honor chasm without investiture. The show takes place in the Court of the Gods in Hallendren.

OOC: Nice! Rend rolled on his face a few times before crashing into a wall. He growled. Someone had sucker-punched him. Sucker-tackled. Whatever. He didn't like getting blind-sided. Rend tried to lift himself up but his equilibrium was still spinning. "He got you good, you know." A voice said. "I don't want to talk about it." Rend grumbled angrily. "Doesn't mean it didn't happen." Rend's sight stopped whirling around and he stood up while bracing a hand to the wall. "Time to try that again." "Good." The voice replied. Rend began the countdown. His heart was beating quickly from the initial shock and that suited him just fine. In ten heartbeats, the massive sword formed in his hands again. He started walking toward his attacker. 'This one's tough. You should probably say it, just be certain.' The same voice whispered in his head. Rend spoke the words. "Life before death." He muttered, eyes on Turos. "Strength before weakness." He hefted the sword in a mobile form of flame stance as he began to run. He leaped toward his target with a stormlight-powered boost. "Journey before destination!" He yelled and brought the sword down. ---- Turos heard the man get to his feet and begin running toward him. He clenched his teeth. This one was muttering those oaths. That was never a good sign. Radiants always seemed to get more serious after they did that. More powerful, too. Turos reached out to several sources of metal behind him as Rend yelled, "Journey before Destination!" and pulled himself out of reach of the shardblade just in time. The weapon crashed down and hewed a deep gash in the sidewalk.

Three words: 0.7Gs Haha. I don't know if that is enough difference to save you, but gravity is lower on Roshar.

Oh ya, I forgot about that one.

Venture is away and has no internet connection for the meanwhile. Sorry I missed this thread until now.

I'll join. Is Artificial Intelligence allowed?

Who is the spy Exisa has confronted? An existing character or a new one? I just want to make sure I know what's going on.

What about subrealms?

Resurrect it..... in a fire! It seemed from my perspective that the plot was moving forward to a meeting in the inn where people could form alliances and enemy-ances(???), then life happened and people waited for other people who were waiting for them. The plot is still good, we just need a leader figure to pop in for both sides of the conflict, or at least have a 'bad guy' action in mind. It's hard to discover the story as a character while depending on a villain to make trouble when that villain isn't controlled by another person. I feel like if I, for example, were to take up the role of playing Jon the Mistborn, I would be intruding on someone else's idea and might play it against their original ideas. I imagine that people are stuck in a rut of either waiting for the bad guy to make his move, waiting for a clear goal, waiting for people to arrive so a clear goal can be given, or unsure if they will upset people by taking action. I'll be open and say I'm willing to fill any role where needed, though my weekdays' activity may be limited. If you need a villain, give me a premise and I will create a secret plan for you to fight and figure out. If you want to be the villain, I'll gladly fight you, or aid you as needed. I don't have a permanent character, so I don't care if my characters die or live. For those of you who are attached to your characters, here's a chance to tell us what you are expecting and what roles you want your character to fill. I know it's fun to be mysterious, but in order to make sure nobody is caught in a situation they weren't aiming for, give us a clue to work off. With a knowledge of what you hope to acheive and what things you don't mind being surprised about, the different parts can be fit together into an exciting plot and molded to bring out the best in everyone. It won't be perfect, but knowing what tools we have to work with will allow us to tailor the story so those tools have jobs to make an impact on it all.

worldbuilding Cosmere City: Worldbuilding thread
Turos replied to Curious Anamaximder's topic in Inactive RPs
I'd suggest making a seperate thread, that way things don't get too confusing, and when Venture returns, he can decide if he wants to incorporate it. It'll be fun either way, and if he doesn't feel it fits, we can continue it as its own unique RP. -
Aha! It's from the Legion universe then? Or Firstborn? Or the Etherium one?

worldbuilding Cosmere City: Worldbuilding thread

What about creating a prologue for your characters? You could roleplay how they came to the city or what gave them a reason to want to eventually get involved here. I wouldn't mind taking part in something like that. -
Haha! True. For Brandon, you might need two typewriters.

worldbuilding Cosmere City: Worldbuilding thread

The RP creator is AFK for another week I believe, but I do look forward to RPing with you! In the meantime, have you considered creating your own RP? -
Maybe 'Cosmere-canon' and 'Reckoners-canon' would be a better choice of words when dealing with Sanderson stuff. His worldbuilding leaves a lot of speculation where the literary meaning of 'universe' and the spacial meaning can get confusing.

Wheel of Time? Is it magical? Is it smaller than a duck with an attitude chewing a piece of bubbalicious?

Pixel by pixel for all but the actual sharblade. That one I drew out a basic shape, cut sections off and lightened them progressively until it got the wavy blade, then ran several versions of the GIMP's Mozaic filter to materialize it, then shifted it on layers to drop. Same for the hand, shifting it over. Nothing fancy unfortunately. Just tedious, though I'm sure there's a way to do things faster.

Is it 'dead'? xD Jokes. Perfect State?

There is no too late until the project is complete Did you make an account on the board? What's your username there? There is the option for coding, though it isn't necessary. If this interests you in addition to what Lark has in mind, I can discuss it on the worldhopper forums. Glad to have you. Nice conglomeration of skills!

Nothing new visually to show yet. We are finishing construction on the story by the end of the week. Once the foundation is settled, awesomeness will recommence.

Is it 'alive'?

Nope. Yep. You win! Your turn.
-
No.

Yes. Yes. I'd say so.
