  1. Is it found on Sel?
  2. Does it change?
  3. Is it a specific unique item? Is it regarded as a tool?
  4. Is it located on more than one shardworld?
  5. Excuse the cheap placeholder 'enter' button xD Plus, another screen shot:
  6. Sweet! Would you and your friends be interested in creating a dark and mysterious theme? Either that or something suspenseful and fast-paced like a chase theme?
  7. Will do. By the way, your loading screens look awesome in the game!
  8. Sneak peek at progress:
  9. Suspense is building!
  10. You've been hanging around Wit?
  11. Don't let the reputation determine what is right or wrong, only what is of popular opinion. Maybe you are the only one with your opinions, but you may very well be the only one who is right. And its your opinion. If we correct our opinions until all opinions are the same, we miss out on awesome discoveries! I would like to see a three-color rep system. Red for the Dark Side of the Force. Green for the Light Side. Blue for the Cool Side. There could be a sweet blue arrow that does a loop.
  12. @Lark Go for it. @Venture I'll send you the link.
  13. We have lots of room for your skillset, Lindel. Check your PM
  14. I guess he just hates reading too much.
  15. Turos left the group and Lurched through the city to get back to his original destination. He was supposed to keep an eye on the museum. He couldn't let too much time pass in case his client's mysterious enemy had backup plans to break in. Now that Charden had filled him in, and now that he had Pulled the ticket stub out of Hugh's pocket (thanks to the embossed foil sticker on it with the crest of the museum), he knew what he was looking for. The enemy would be after a specific piece, one containing a special metal that was apparently used by Mistborn. He would have laughed at the idea. Allomancers who could use all allomantic abilities was unheard of, but things were getting strange in the city and who knew what he was bound to discover next? When the museum came in view, he noticed two people down on the ground level. One was running from the other, who was carrying a very large sword of some kind. A Radiant. Turos Pulled himself closer and closer. When the runner was making a turn, the Radiant flung his sword after him. The target turned out of the way just in time and the weapon lodged itself right into the building behind. Turos gritted his teeth. It was the museum. He grabbed onto a line leading to a grate in the road and tugged his flight path a little lower to the ground, then grabbed on two lines pointing at street lamps in front of the museum and yanked hard. The metal poles shook as he Pulled and one bent slightly near the base. Turos flew parallel to the ground at breakneck speed and angled his feet before him. His climbing shoes took the Radiant in the back and sent the man flying several yards. The momentum had been transferred and Turos back flipped off of him to land in front of the other man. He studied the fellow. "What?" Turos asked of the man smiling at him. He thought he recognized him.
  16. Hey, anyone is more than welcome to help. Lucky for everyone, we don't need to worry about my lack of programming ... finesse. The program is coding free, at least as far as I intend to go with it for now. Simple structure with inventory options and available plugins. I'll post current needs on the development forums so we don't spoil anything. See you there!
  17. Awesome! That is exactly what I am thinking. We'll have to see about voice acting later if that becomes a thing, but it's good to know we have someone. Puzzle ideas and help with anything to add flavor are definitely welcome! Here's a scene of the Shattered Plains so far. I may scrap it, as it is just me testing making terrains in blender, but its coming along nicely. I need to work out the lighting more. Something is preventing shadows to an extent. :/
  18. I was hoping you would want to get involved, Lark. Creating assets on a Mac don't matter. Playing the game on a Mac isn't going to work for you, though. Sorry.
  19. I'm working on a MYST-like game focused on the Cosmere. It will be low-quality graphics, most likely, but will have interesting puzzles. The main plot can be experienced by anyone with or without knowledge of the Cosmere, but I'm planning on adding loads of Easter Eggs for Cosmere fans, and it will take place in locations based on or presuming to be places from the Cosmere. The main character, you, will be a silent protagonist who finds a tool, a new type of fabrial, that will allow you to hop between different world. As you progress, you will discover new parts for the tool that will allow you to absorb investiture from the places you visit and mimic powers similar to the magics found in those worlds. You will need to use the tool to unlock new areas and interact with different puzzles. I will create a seperate forum website for development, but will release sneak-peak sketches and screenshots here. The website can be found here. It is a moderately-sized project, with room for growth. I will be using the simplistic Adventure Maker program and the game will be free. Unfortunately, the only platforms supported by Adventure Maker are Windows, iPhone and iPod Touch and aparently the PlayStation Portable, (though I don't know yet how to deliver files to that device). I will export the game specifically for Windows and try an iPhone/iPad Touch release if there are no problems. I don't know if this development software will ever have Mac support or other platforms, but hopefully this covers at least the majority of people interested in playing. Due to the nature of the game, there is room for any help from artists and inventive people who don't mind having parts of the game, or the entire game, spoiled for them. If you have skills in any of these areas at a moderate level and would like to submit assets as they are needed, please send me a PM with screenshots of samples of your work, or explanations where pictures do not apply. Even if you only submit a single piece of art, I will be extremely grateful. Texture artist: UVW Unwrapping models to create a texture file; painting texture files. 3D Modeler: Modeling prop objects and buildings. Digital Painter: Creating portraits of people or scenery that will be found hanging in buildings. Puzzle Designer: Creating interesting puzzle mechanisms. Cosmere Brainstormer: Searching the published works for interesting elements that can be used to tie the game to the Cosmere. Sound FX Designer: Creating and recording noise files like whirring gears, water drops, pulled levers, opening walls, creature noises, etc. Music Soundtrack Designer: Creating ambient music to add a unique flavor for each location; creating musical effects to add emotional cues. Possible future roles that may or may not be implemented: Voice actors 3D Animators 2D Animators Keep in mind that any submitted assets may or may not be used in the final game, or may be replaced later. I will try to find a place for everything, within reason, but there's no promise. I appreciate any and all offers to help, however, and your name will be added to the credits whether your contributions are included or not. As a final note, the game will most likely avoid any existing characters from the books and no plot spoilers will be included. This will be more like a way to allow fans of the Cosmere to step into the worlds they have learned to love and experience a piece of what other fans envision it to be. 20. I'm dropping this project in favor of another I have in mind. I'll create a new thread soon. Hopefully it will be a better fit to get lots of people involved.
  21. Develop an engrossing obsession with space.
  22. Ever heard of synesthesia? Parts of the brain dealing with different senses become more interactive, causing one sense to trigger another sense in concert, or one sense to trigger another concept. It's interesting how people with enough Breaths can acheive perfect pitch. There's also the color code script. Another form of synesthesia involves associating colors with letters, whether as a concept of feeling like the letter fits well with the idea of a certain color (associative synesthesia) or as a sensing experience by actually seeing each letter colored by their matching colors (projecting synesthesia). Does possessing a wealth of Breaths reconfigure the brain, which causes these side effects of a sort of reverse chromesthesia? Is the reordering of the brain, or perhaps cognitive aspect, of a person what allows them to do anything as an Awakener? I think the similarities are at least interesting.
  23. I know... the stick just isn't going to have his chance to shine...
  24. Is it Vasher's cloak?
