in era 2 Wayne eats a roasted walnut wrapped in candied bacon. That sounds really good, is it a real thing?

This reminds me of a conversation I had late at night on a drama trip about doing the same thing with a squirrel. The Lord Squirreller.

You know how Shards' intents influence the personalities of their Vessels? Can large enough Splinters have a similar effect on their hosts?

If you were a twinborn, what would you like to be?

Iron/Iron: "Actually, the world does revolve around me. Literally." Actually, this combo would be really useful. Ironswinging just got way cooler, as you can now adjust your arc at will. And Gemmel's rule wouldn't apply, as you would be some northern mystic. Aside from that, how far your Ironlines go is proportionate to your weight, meaning you could steal a sniper's gun you can't even see. Or more mundane things, like being a Lurcher, which is just cool anyway.- 155 replies

I recently read something in another topic about Shallan potentially Worldhopping because she can "enter the Cognitive Realm" but can she really? Other times people enter the Cognitive Realm, they take their bodies with them (except in the case of Cognitive Shadows, but that's because they're dead), so why doesn't Shallan? Were know that the Surge of Transportation allows people fully into the Cognitive Realm so they can Worldhop, but whenever Jasnah or Shallan Soulcast, they stay in the physical realm and it looks like they could be using Soulcasters. Obviously, then, the Surge of Transformation does not let people into Shadesmar, but rather let's them interact with it, whereas Transportation actually creates small-scale Perpendicularities. Thoughts?

Okay, so I've been reading the free chapters of Oathbringer on Tor, and I got to Dalinar's conversation with the Stormfather about challenging Odium to a duel, and I wondered "what would the stakes have to be for Odium to accept?" I knew that Odium would only accept such a challenge if winning would put him significantly further ahead than he already was, and he was basically winning the war at that point. So what could put him so far ahead that it would be worth it? What could possibly stand in his way that he could remove more effectively by drinking a duel than his other methods? Radiants. They could pose a serious problem to his plans, and fighting then could be really annoying, even for a Shard. What if Odium could ensure that, if he won, all of the Radiants would go away? Say, break their oaths or something... So what if that's already happened before? What if that was the cause for the Day of Recreance? This actually makes sense, if you think about it. We know that one Order didn't break it's oaths, so maybe they had all agreed to break their oaths if their contestant lost, and one order broke that promise instead of those previously made to their Spren, or didn't agree at all. I'm not sure which order this would be, but what do you think? Could this be it?

I would say it has something to do with breath, but also probably the nature of the Returned, as we know that Vasher is Zahel and, due to his ability to change his appearance, it's not unlikely that he's also someone else we've seen... Maybe Nalan... I mean, how else would he get Nightblood, really? That said about Vasher, I think there will be interaction between he and Shallan that will be much me meaningful with more context, and some of what he says in those interactions may reference Warbreaker.

I would have spent a long time trying to find other patterns for that Silencing line, like one that absorbs light instead of sound, or amplifies it instead... Or something. I'd be a Christian from Bonneville who believes that Rithmatics are just science that nobody understands yet, and totally unconnected to God. Rithmatically, I'd specialize in lines of Vigor and Revocation and would be an expert on the angles they deflect at, and would try to figure out how to make a chalking that could deflect them. I would create my own defense, a combination of Eskridge and Taylor. My special ability (if I had one) would be the ability to draw evenly and quickly, which would help with firing of quick lines of vigor and drawing a starting circle. As for my name, I'm going to go with Kirk or something.
