“My return . . .” Pattern said. “Because of this.” “What? Why haven’t you said something!” “Say . . . speaking . . . Thinking . . . All hard. Getting better.” “You came to me because of the Voidbringers,” Shallan said, moving closer to the trunk, bloodied rag forgotten in her hand. “Yes. Patterns . . . we . . . us . . . Worry. One was sent. Me.” “Why to me?” “Because of lies.” She shook her head. “I don’t understand.” WoR Chapter 13 The Day's Masterpiece don't think we have any proto lightweaver, aleast before the everstorm.

the bond between shallan and patter predate the 'big broken soul event', and I suppose the bond don't was so faint because she had summoned patter in a blade to defend herself killing her mother. I think shallan are a 'good liar' character from the start, and not in a negative mean, in the same way a good actor need be a 'good lier' for proper do his works.

i found the lesser spren swarm teory shortsighted, can works for windrunner, a little logic jump for fitting to the lightweaver, but the other eight order? there is a 'lesser spren' for the bondsmith, i suppose the skybreaker can gather the windspren too, but don't find any logical bond between high spren and windspren

“You like lies?” Shallan asked. “Good lies,” Pattern said. “That lie. Good lie.” “What makes a lie good?” Shallan asked, taking careful notes, recording Pattern’s exact words. “True lies.” “Pattern, those two are opposites.” “Hmmmm . . . Light makes shadow. Truth makes lies. Hmmmm.” WoR Chapter 6. Terrible Dectrution “Perhaps,” Pattern said. “Or you could progress. Become more. There is something more you must do.” “Words?” Shallan said. “You have said the Words,” Pattern said. “You said them long ago. No . . . it is not words that you lack. It is truth.” “You prefer lies.” “Mmm. Yes, and you are a lie. A powerful one. However, what you do is not just lie. It is truth and lie mixed. You must understand both.” WoR Chapter 75 True Glory

In the end of the same chapter dalinar see the windrunner's plate don't glowing, only a single glyph (the double eye) emit a fain light. I think the plate are somehow related to the glyph kaladin "drew" whit stormlight. The first in the corridor when sworn the third oath after absorb all the light in the lamp, the second when landing in the shattered plains after saving dalinar lashed to the sky by sezth. A intetesting thing is the heralds lakcing of shardplate

"Nightform predicting what will be, / The form of shadows, mind to foresee. / As the gods did leave, the nightform whispered. / A new storm will come, someday to break. / A new storm a new world to make. / A new storm a new path to take, the nightform listens." Song of Secrets, 17th stanza source so, yep. the everstorm was inevitable. all Stormlight archive are deep in fate and predistination. for example in the same kaladin's bridge crew we found the hoid's apprentice, (probably) the last alethi who know the power of the knight radiant and one man who had the life riuned by the same person destroyed kaladin's family.

kaladin had a blade now. yes, we know the difference between a living and dead blade. but syl is a blade nontheless, and someone have difficult time to negate this fact. in the first chapter oathbringer the TOR release
-
kaladin is a sardbearer now. so four dahn at minimum, and shallan too (but the concept of woman shardbearer can be hard to swallow)
-
and how ialai know the man behind torol's death? no whitness. we don't know where are the cut cuff and the dagger, but if anyone don't find them there also no link to adolin o any other kholin man (for the color of the cuff) i suppose sadeas make some enemy in the alethi court. and in urithiru are alredy arrived many people.
-
and ialai have solid proof to link adolin to the sadeas's murder? we know, but the other? for inciminanting an highprince hier you need very solid proof

Fulminato replied to Gavin-son-son-Odegard's topic in Stormlight Archive
pai started the rioting in less of a day since she enter in the queen's retinue. i think there are a setup. perhaps pai don't is a diagramist herself, but can be the man has choose her assignemnet, putting the woman in the right position to maximize the damage.- 108 replies

Aesudan Kholin, Theories and Speculations
Fulminato replied to Gavin-son-son-Odegard's topic in Stormlight Archive
i think pai a member of the diagram, the riot in kholinar are the best outcome for mr.T if he want take the power. Graves kill Elkhorar, Dalinar fell before Sezth, whit Aesudan out the picture... cook up and you have a full scale war highprince against highprince, probably worst of jad keved succession war.- 108 replies

the listener had some blade, eshonai are the last shardbearer, in the first years of the war dalinar defeat a couple of parishendi shardbearer himself. don't think there are some real difference, or the alethi already noted them

oathbringer prologue spoiler

more than that, the jah keved's succession war near shattered the kingdom, all high prince are death, and i suppose many-near-all the shallan's family creditor are out of the pictiure (death o broke). roshar don't have any room left for little petty politics, like the saedas' murdered. the world have bigger concern. and the new shallan title of radiant knight probably outrank even a highprince hier

all radiant have their own shardplate, so must come from a source all radiant (of any order) can use. like the blade. cannot be 'made' by only one order. and if any 'surge' are used are the surge of transformation, the power of soulcasting. the different color of glowing plate match the color of the gem associated to the order (herald, essence, gem and knigh order) mean a difference, but all plate are grey, even the suit radiants wore. in the end the dalinar's starfall vision (WotK chapter 19) the windrunner's plate don't glow, only the 'doblue eye' symbol in the breastplate have a faint blu light

1) don't are the opposite? the helm drain the kaladin stormlight to hold themself and don't shattered after a couple of shardblade hit "Kaladin stumbled to a halt. He tried to suck in more, but all of his spheres were drained. The helm, he realized, noticing that it was gushing Stormlight from its numerous cracks, yet hadn’t exploded. It had somehow fed upon his Stormlight." WoR, chapter 57 2) http://www.theoryland.com/intvmain.php?i=977#155 i don't think the term "living shardplate" are correct, but a difference still exist

1) false As to the other orders that were inferior in this visiting of the far realm of spren, the Elsecallers were prodigiously benevolent, allowing others as auxiliary to their visits and interactions; though they did never relinquish their place as prime liaisons with the great ones of the spren; and the Lightweavers and Willshapers both also had an affinity to the same, though neither were true masters of that realm. Words of Radiance, chapter 53 epigrap 2) i my opinion there is a 4th unknow shard in the roshar solar system, WotK chapter 11 epigrap “Three of sixteen ruled, but now the Broken One reigns.” we know odium came after honor/cultivation settle on roshar and I found unlike odium ruled pacefully whit another shard. plus the sentence don't make realy sense if the 'broken one' is one of three.

1) but she murder her father, in fact after a failed poison attemp she choke him to death. 2) a crush for sure, and shallan's lie are the main defense mechanism against the painful memory of the past, and never mistake a lie for the truth.

Is shardplate *meant* to be powered by gems?
Fulminato replied to quadbox's topic in Stormlight Archive
the glyphs in the armor are probably related to the glyphs kaladin 'drew' when sworn the third ideal ( "Behind Kaladin, frost crystalized on the ground, growing backward away from him. A glyph formed in the frost, almost in the shape of wings.") and when landing in the plateau after save dalinar lashed by szeth (The expanding ring of smoky light faded, save for a large glyph—a swordlike shape—which remained for a brief moment before puffing away.) in my opinion the plate is a 'stromlight made solid' (i don't believe in the lesser spren swarm theory), the link windrunner and wind spreen can works, but the other? the skybreaker specificaly can 'fly', like the windrunner, so they attract wind spreen too? -
http://coppermind.net/wiki/Listener can be the smokeform one of the 'void-order'?

Parshendi + Gemheart? (WoR-Spoiler)
Fulminato replied to Shaukan-son-Hasweth's topic in Stormlight Archive
a gemheart hold a spren, Sly and patter aren't hold, the ancient radiant don't have they spren locked in a gem too, first the blade all radiant held (exception peraps for the bondismith) are that spren, and in the dalinar's purelake vision the KR (woring a full plate, so well beyond the third ideal) are talking to the air (her invisible spren i suppose) PS: my english are atrocius, i know. pls be gentle
