  1. I kinda doubt we will see odium defeated in the archives due to just how wide scale a cosmere threat, but we could see his forces dealt with. The two biggest cards in his deck, are the unmade and the fused. If they are dealt with, then his forces here would be crippled, allow ing a chance for a kind of victory. i have two theories about how they could be dealt with, and I just realised they could be combined. They could deal with each other. since the newest book, we know that the unmade can be contained in perfect gemstones. So it is possible they could be all contained, but why stop there. Not only trap them in gemstones, but actual fabrials. I don't see nine individual fabrials, but one Multi functional fabrial, with the unmade differing natures balancing each other out. The thing about the unmade, while they can affect humans, they can also influence the listeners. So using odium own power against him. the fused are apparently the empowered spirits of ancient listeners, that have lived and died multiple times. This process has made them technically all mad, they just have differing levels of self control, with those most twisted manifesting as thunderclasts. If they were some how made to move on, then odium would lack their power and experience, would be greatly undermined. i just realised my idea of a fabrial might be the solution to the fused. Target the nine at them. When that unmade was contained, it created the parshmen. I wonder if the fused could be similarly crippled or at least attack via such a bond/link. It seems like their anger and rage is what keeping them around. If it was removed or altered, then they might be freed or at least a lesser threat. I suggest them as a target due to their unique nature, so lessening a chance of the weapon harming humans or even ordinary listerners. the high Prince of the unmade provides the connection to the fused and the void light to fuel the weapon. Since the fused are all already unstable, it would not take much to push them completely off the ledge. The three great mindless would push and break the fragile control of them. That unmade which inhabits a gemstone, which is then swallowed by a prospective host. This process forces the host vessel to grow crystals, this process could force the fused to all produce their own thunderclast body. It would be like creating their own gemstone prison, containing them. This theory has so far found a purpose for five of the unmade. The corrupter of spren has claimed that it wishes to change sides. Due to their spren like nature, the fused could be vulnerable to being altered or co opted by her influence. The one known as the black fisher, from the brief description sounds like something involving sadness, grief, pain and depression. I think it could be another one similar to the mindless three, so used as another way to break the sanity of the fused. The midnight mother is a kind of shapeshifter, and she makes a kind of spren that can appear human. What if she produced midnight essence to join with each of the fused, connecting to the damaged sections of their spirit web, forever transforming them? The final one is very mysterious, but due to the use of Blight in the lore, I am guess something todo with disease, decay or death. While currently unable to fit the final unmade to the weapon, who knows what future books will reveal. since this weapon is against the fused, it makes sense for it to be deployed during the ever storm, as that is how they get returned to the material realm. The best location for such a device would be the origin point of the ever storm. It might travel the whole world, but it begins from that specific location each time. Even if it can't force them to move on, their loss of control, means they would be limited as simply weapons of war. No longer would they be the rulers and commanders of the listeners, just mindless beings of war. It seems like there are nine orders of the fused, so each is likely associated or linked to one of the unmade in some way, so a weapon using all nine would affect them all. It might take repeated uses of the device, but it would be a great threat against the enemy. if the fused were dealt with, then the heralds would be safer as they wont be tortured by the enemy as much in damnation. I don't know if all void spren are corrupted spren, or those created by the unmade, but with out the nine, they would be greatly diminished. The device would eliminate two of the terrible deaths.
  2. It would be cool if they could create something like a fabrial belt, that allows plate to be summoned and dismissed at need. it might already exist, putting on the armor is tricky. So in an emergency this could be deadly. So the Knights kept thier blade contained somehow. That is why they are so rare, my were stored away when abandoned.
  3. Say the unmade was in the sphere gavilar had. He likely got it due to his connection to the sons of honor, in their efforts to restore the Knights and void ringers, who knows what they had unknowingly uncovered. So far as that group knows, the king had the sphere in the palace. The Parshendi believed the king had it last. Only the Assasin is aware of where it is now as he hid it.
  4. What ancient fabrials used the spren of the knight shard blade for operation? Sort of how they act as keys for the oath gate, they could inhabit fabrials to operate them. There are likely some fabrials for non Knights, but they would not be a priority. Some Knights take a while to manifest their spren as a blade, so during that time they could use the fabrials.
  5. I wonder if the fused could be harmed in the same way, that created the Parshmen? Without their anger and hate to sustain them, they could finally move on. With out this force, odium so campaigns would be crippled due to lack of experienced commanders, their powers and lack of thunderclasts.
  6. It would be cool if there were more flying cities. i wonder if the heralds or the Knights ever traveled to the other planets in the system, or even create something akin to an oath gate linking them. I doubt damnation, as it risked the enemy corrupting and co opting the passageway. But I c ould see them creating a way to their old home.
  7. The king negotiated for those born in or married to a citizen of the city to survive, that could potentially be used against odium. He is bound by his deal.
  8. It can be produced via soul casting, but once made nearly impossible to alter.
  9. Before she remembered, the honor spren believed and acted like a wind spren. What if kaladin is not the only one to get an entourage or a group of squires? Like how a the storm father and a group of wind spren attempted to minimize the force of the storm, a group of wind spren under the command and influence of a honor spren come together and form plate. They don't scream as no oath to them was broken. during one of the visions, Dalinar was told to see a specific person concerning his plate. Even though the Knights apparently created their own weapons and plate, it stands to reason the order had some kind of weapon master any way. In fact when the knight abandoned their oaths, such an individual might have collected and stored away such items.
  10. We have all guessed that the nine would be trapped, what if not only in a gemstone but a fabrial of some type? The one that cause the Parshendi to become slave is said to be a source of void light , so could be useful in trapping and keeping the enemy dealt with. Due to their differing nature, I don't see them being nine viable fabrials, but one fabrial capable of many different things could be far more controllable. The unmade can affect man, but also Parshendi. So using odium power against him. I wonder if the fused could be crippled in a similar manner as the creation of parshmen, it is basic ly their hate and anger that keeps them around, otherwise they would pass on. If dealt with, the removal of the fused and the containing of the unmade, would greatly alter any future war. Just because they bond to void spren, does not necessarily make them evil. The corrupted high spren that renarin in linked to this proves this, such spren could offer new forms of power. Odium would still be a threat, but he is bound by the rules of the conflict, with out his unmade and fused warriors, his forces would lack true direction, possibly allowing for a true peace to be created. the is said to be three mindless unmade, I get how that could be applied to bloodlust and gluttony, but why would precognition be mindless. I suppose it could be seen as sort of surrendering your free will to fate. The thing is don't get, the oath pact seems to keep odium, the fused and void spren away from Roshar in general. Apparently some void spread can creep in I think. But why are the nine not banished to damnation with the rest of their forces. It seem that since they rank high than the fused and the regale, they would be the priority to be dealt with. In fact their presence likely magnified the effects of the desolations. the unmade reminds me of the horsemen of the apocalypse, or the enemies of man from the DC universe, or simply the seven sins.
  11. As far as the Parshendi knew, Gavilar still had the black sphere, the same for the sons of honor. So naturally assumed he must have hidden it in the palace. Only the truthless knew it's true location. i wonder if the sons of honor, in their search for the knights and void bringers, they discovered other bits of lore or items. this unmade is a source of void light, I wonder if that can be used to trap other unmade.
  12. If you need to say all five oaths to get plate, does that mean the heralds never had plate?
  13. During one of the visions, Dalinar had a vision where he was told to go see some one specific for issues with his shard plate. It makes sense if the Knights radiants had some kind of armorer or weapon master. The spren might assume or create the items themselves, I could see such a man, gathering these weapons and placing them in an armory. plate apparently only were made by the higher level Knights, and when kaladin first said the words he did not get a sword straight away.
  14. In the search for the knight radians and void bringers, the sons of honor could have uncovered a lot of useful lore. They knew about the need of special gem stones, they could know of the hidden collection of the Elsecallers. Also if the queen and Amaran could be co opted by the enemy, the whole group is suspect of collusion with the enemy.
  15. I wonder how many Fused exists. I am thinking in the hundreds or even the thousands. I doubt any solution to them would be small scale, any method needs to affect them all at once. i get how they posses living listeners, but where do thunderclasts come from. I would have believed gem heart creatures being possessed rather than random stone golems. I wonder if if there is a connection between their existance after death and their power over stone.
  16. Blades are technically still a type of spren, so could be contained in a gem stone. Their killed state might make the process easier.
  17. Is a divine breath the equivalent to some number of mundane breaths? Or does it carry something more inside of it. Why would they gather the returned, would it not make sense to spread them to best ensure the breaths reach where they can help the most? Unless there is some unknown needs for a large concentration of divine breaths in one locations.
  18. Hematology looses power over time, but could compounding in some manner, allow the energy to be preserves. If identity allows for metal minds usable for all, what if one of the other attributes allows hematology to work better. It does not need to be perfect, just viable. Ever since I heard about this art and bind points, I always thought of acupuncture. Will we see a list of compounding abilities, or simply how powers can work in concert? Is it even possible to use all three arts at once?
  19. I wonder if you need aluminum sword, as that metal has some anti magic uses, to combat this sword. I have this random idea, what if this sword is the thing to kill Odium in the end? It is made to destroy evil, and he is the big bad. This guy killed gods, and knows so many secrets, they need something that can take him out.
  20. If there is new lore, what if his father found another way to create a rithmatist or create a new version of one? It is said there ar only so many possible, new ones can only be created when old ones died. He needs only find a way to activate and use it. A way to create more or different version would revolutionize the art. He was offered funds for his minor discoveries, but something of this scale could get him his own patent of nobility and lands. Revolutionizing magic might make it possible to even retake their original homeland.
  21. Chalk is largely naturally occurring, while charcoal is mainly artificially produced by man. I wonder if the forgotten are man made creation, or transformed humans. There are many stories about magic users pushing their styles so much that they transform themselves into something inhuman. Or creating intelligent creations that turned against them. I wonder if other biochemical sedimentary materials or transformed organic material, could be used in this style of magic. It is just all this talk of chalk, makes me think of flint. a book said that a powerful witch can't grow on chalk, but another said that the bones of chalk is flint. The style might extend to oil, via oil based paints.
  22. the ghost bloods know of the sky breakers, but the sons of honor do not. which factions know of other factions or dont realise they are a threat.
  23. We know odium is traveling worlds and has caused devestation, i wonder what would happen if he is simply not around for the desolation. We know distance can be an issue with magics. If they can keep him from returning, then that could force him to choose a champion.
  24. I think there is a conspiracy to raise the church to supremacy by bringing back the knights, what if there is a faction working to keep the knights away? An interchurch cold war over the knights.
  25. how heavy are shard blades? could a normal man use a special shield to block strickes.
