  1. It’s actually not according to Peter on Twitter.
  2. Looks like a TV series and some accompanying graphic novels are in the works for Dark One. https://deadline.com/2018/06/brandon-sanderson-fremantlemedia-north-america-tv-multi-media-project-1202407862/
  3. - To the Edgedancer that slicked the floor in front of a waitress at the tavern, you have been banned from the establishment.
  4. Hey he could be Loki.
  5. Not every single plotline is going to get a lot of screen time in a 10 book series. I’ve been reading though WoT for the first time and there are literally 700 page gaps between certain arcs/character point of views. Stuff gets introduced in book 2 and isn’t even revisited until halfway through book 4. Tis the nature of a long series.
  6. First syllable, SHALL-anne.
  7. I pronounce Shallan basically started with the word “shall” and ending with the sound of the name “Anne.”
  8. I loved it. It had a little bit of everything nostalgia-wise. Han shot first. The Kessel run. The dice. Reference to Hutt’s crew on Tatooine. The cinematic appearance of Darth Maul got me all excited lol. As a movie in general I thought it had pretty good pacing. Not many slow moments without action in them. Qi’ra was a great new character, and I’m glad they gave her a more open-ended finish instead of the more predictable ending of her dying for Han. Not sure if anyone here keeps up with the cartoons, but if they decide to show what happens to Darth Maul in cinema...sign me up for that finale lol.
  9. 1. The Avengers 2. Iron Man 3. Infinity War 4. Dr. Strange 5. Captain America: The Winter Soldier
  10. I just got a chance to see this last night. Awesome movie. I think the key to the endgame is gonna be Stark. When you think about it, Dr. Strange spent the entire film saying that keeping the Time Stone away from Thanos was his #1 priority above all else...until it came down to saving Stark’s life. That tells me that the one scenario he saw where they are victorious involved Stark at its core.
  11. My prediction for the Arrow finale: Quentin dies and evil Laurel kills Diaz in retaliation.
  12. Yeah I personally don’t like the show as much as I did in its early seasons, but I’ve still been watching it. It looks like the ending of this season is shaping up to have a lot of potential anyways.
  13. Anyone been watching Season 6? It’s had its ups and downs, but I really liked last night’s episode (Episode 19: The Dragon) that mostly featured Diaz.
  14. I have a gut feeling Jasnah is at 4 at least, and 5 wouldn't surprise me.
  15. I thought it seemed abrupt given all that was going on in the book before it. Not upset she chose Adolin so much as how the timing played out.
  16. The Chronicles of Narnia (my mom read them to me when I was little). My first personal reading experience in the genre was LOTR.
  17. I don't wear earrings but I went with right for this reasoning: the books make comments from time to time about how she runs her fingers around her earring as a bit of a habit. I'm assuming she's right handed...so I imagine her touching her right ear with her dominant hand unthoughtedly out of habit instead of reaching her hand across her body to the left ear.
  18. Welp, looks like I've got something to take to Cosmere Theories now.
  19. As others have mentioned, writing a graphic novel from scratch seems like it will go better. It's hard to condense a previously written novel into graphic novel format without cutting a lot of the details. I personally prefer novellas because I'm just not that into the whole graphic novel thing. But we might get some cool Cosmere stories in this format that won't take Brandon years to release this way.
  20. I think it's going to end by saying, "The end of book five of The Stormlight Archive."
  21. Yeah the Wheel of Time comes to mind with this one. I haven't finished that series but a lot of the dialog comes back to "I don't trust the bloody Aes Sedai!" lol
  22. On a realistic note, I think what the OP is saying does have some merit to it, with one exception that I'll get to shortly. Kaladin does hold a lot back inside. He's not very good with talking to others about what he's dealing with. There are definitely come communication issues going on in his life that make his character frustrating to read about at times. I think he's super cautious about opening up to people after what happened to him in Amaram's army. It can't be easy to trust people after you've been betrayed the way he was. Yes, yes, Dalinar traded his own Shardblade for Kaladin's freedom, but that still doesn't mean all of Kaladin's trust issues should have disappeared instantly. I think the OP makes some good points, but the one exception I would bring up is the scene at Kholinar. Kaladin's mission in Kholinar was to be a spy, not superman. They knew something was wrong with the city, and they didn't know who was currently occupying it. If he walked around telling everyone he was a Radiant, someone would have ratted him out to The Fused.
  23. A lot of the problems that the characters encountered in this book could have been avoided if Odium was just a chill dude.
  24. It'll be back up on the website once the next printing is done. I just ordered a copy of the Elantris leather-bound after its newest printing became available a couple days ago.
  25. I was personally pretty confused about how some of the metals were supposed to be categorized when I first read the series. I didn't realize at the time that the Ars Arcanum were supposed to be written from the point of view of a character. While it's a cool idea, I found it a bit confusing when I first started reading the books.
