I would also like to apologize for turning this into a battleground. This will be my last post about the topic, then I suggest that we move this to another thread if needed. I would like to officially state that none of the cookies that we give to new comers are in any way lethal or non-removable. In order for a spike to rip off a piece of your soul, it needs to b pulled through the body. These spikes, some of you may have realized, never get pulled through the body. They are embedded in the stomach and are no more mind altering then a soothing or rioting. These spikes are easily removable with assistance from the DA. Any test subjects that we experiment on are completely aware about what exactly is going to happen. People who are used to create spikes are those who deserve to be. The Dark alley has for a long time been a place to dispose of the more, unsavory, aspects of society. Finally, hemalurgy is the great equalizer in society. With hemalurgy you are able to rise above your birth conditions, and not be limited by your DNA. It allows someone without invested parents to become something great. This is the reason we support this most graceful of sciences. Hemalurgy is a science, and like any other, it is able to be used in safe humane ways, or dangerous evil ways. The Dark Alley has been long dedicated toward pushing it in the former direction, and trying to push its abilities to help society as far as they can go.

Is there a set number of spikes that when inserted into a human, make it possible for an allomancer to take control of them with emotional allomancy? For kollos its 4 and kandra 2, but those are both only usable by super powered allomancers, Lerasium mistborn, or vin. What would it take for a normal soother or rioter?

Well, there used to be many guilds, but then the Social groups sub-forum descended into inactivity, the Dark alley was the only group that stayed active. Over years, the light alley (the OG one), the anti-bakery, the Mediocrity lit alley, and other groups tried to fight us. But they lost.

Please name a single guild that cares more about newcomers then the DA. Elephant's breath theft scheme isn't supported by the DA. He is acting as a separate entity. Also, I was not aware that a group existed which tried to help newcomers, besides us that is. Did any members of this "group" make a thread proving their existence?

Archers intentions aren't as noble as he states in his sig. There is no way to certify if his cookies are non hemalurgic and there shouldn't be any exchange of resources in the giving of his cookies, so the money back guarantee is worthless. He also points out in his sig that "you’re not supposed to accept food from strangers." In his Dark alley spotting guide he also says to avoid people who give out food. He then offers you a cookie himself. All of this combined makes a pretty suspicious figure.

A man walks in wearing a suit and bowler hat. Glancing briefly at the damage he approaches the queen who is sitting on the steps to the throne. His eyes widen when he sees the queens injuries. He reaches into his pocket and pulls out a spike which is inserted into his body. Silently he eats gold while gripping a medallion, which he gives to the Queen. "Its a unsealed medallion. You should be able to heal your wounds with it." He then steps back and in a much more formal voice begins to talk. "I wish to ask @Queen Elsa Steelheart about the possibility of rekindling the relationship between the Dark Alley and the Newcago court. Recently as people have left the guilds, interaction declined. We would like to kindle new friendship with the court. Together, we will be able to bring activity to the guilds again and restore them from their inactive state. If there needs to be details discussed, I am sure that those could be arranged privately."

Do You Use All of Your Upvotes Everyday?
MacThorstenson replied to MistbornAlpaca's topic in 17th Shard Discussion
True. How many posts it would take would vary depending on whether or not the moderators got this lack of rep restriction outside of their respective sub-forum. -
What combination of characters could beat Rand al'Thor at the height of his power?

I know this is a bit late, but you would need to post 10,000 times for the mods to be able to break the rep system. -
If I’m not mistaken, wasn’t the light alley officially destroyed over a year ago?

Ruins involvement in the DA is classified. Any and all groups that have opposed the DA have fallen and been destroyed. (Or gone inactive)

Sorry @Quickbronze, we don't trust you. Unfortunately we will have to deny you entry into the DOCI, due to security risks. -

I was just wondering, I was confused as to what the meaning behind your announcing your presence here was. -

He was an... interesting case. He started off as an enemy of the DA, infact running an opposing bakery to stop us. We hired a rathbore monk and spiked him with loyalty to the dark alley. Now he is as loyal as ever. quickbronze, do you want to be a member of counter intelligence? -

Thank you for this appointment. I will do my best to serve the DA faithfully in this office. To keep the secrets of the dark alleys away from our enemies, and to counter their efforts to destroy us. Anyone who would like to join the counterintelligence division, ask me in PM or post in the thread. -

Any bad side effects can be avoided by becoming a full member, this includes many benefits including gold compounding. -
I feel obliged to mention that aluminum doesn't have atium shadows. If someone were to have a aluminum gun, or sword or spear, it would not be seen by someone burning atium.

Could I also be added to the PM?

MacThorstenson replied to Voidus's topic in The Alleyverse
Guys, we are becoming predictable. There is this fellow, Archer, and he has created guide to spotting dark alley members. If there is enough information on us that someone can gather our names and post them in a guide book, we are in trouble! -
This was my first time using a poke vote. I just assumed that if you were going to poke someone, you would vote on them. Now that I know that you shouldn't poke someone with a real vote if they already have a poke vote on them, I wont do it. As soon as they posted, I took my vote off. I explained in previous cycles that I used an RNG to place my vote on Rand. And I explained my reasons for using an RNG.
