    Joe slumped down on his corner, depositing the ash taco vendor beside him. He had almost ran out! Quite a popular snack, ash tacos. While out, he had heard a few things. One, Nyah was actually a mistwraith. Do mistwraiths eat ash tacos? The idle thought floated around his mind. Anyways, Cassius was snuggling some woman when Joe had offered the two of them ash tacos. Cassius had seemed disgusted, but Joe was sure that was just the way the nose reacts to the smell of pure heaven. He gave them both an extra ash taco. Joe sighed. What a productive day! ... Oh no! A productive day?! How, what, when, where, why, how?! He was useless! Useless people aren't productive! Joe grabbed his head to keep it from exploding. Squeak. "Oh, nice of you to show up. So another Spiked down, and dozens of ash tacos sold!" Squeak. "How dare you! I will always be useless! It is a fact of nature." Squeak. "Well, sucks for you. Go kill a Spiked." Squeak. "I don't care at this point. You know, Rat? I might just become a miser. I like the feel of these boxings." Squeak squeak. "Nah. Good night."

    Did you notice that in the grayscale version the gums are still red? A creepy hidden contrast to the teeth.

    This is a great start! Perhaps I didn't read too closely, but what I saw I liked. The beginning of the chapter is a bit awkward, because I couldn't pin down what was happening at the exact present. Part of it was flashback, recent history, backstory, and a strange little bit about Old Hodge. Of course, it got into its groove past those paragraphs, and I could get the feel for the story more. You touch a bit on the Aspects. This is your magic system, or religion, I suppose? As well as the emanta? What exactly is Medic Unit 2, and who is in it? Is Commander Chrent is the Medic Unit, or is he part of the actual army? Is the Medic Unit part of the actual army? Is that why the chapter called "a medic that kills"? And, as a geography nerd, do you have a map? You reference a few geographic features in the chapter, so a map would be nice to put them in context. Otherwise I enjoyed reading it and am looking forward to the next chapter.

    How I want to join this game! The action, excitement, unblemished RP! Oh, such things are not known in such a small town as mine... but is my word as true as I say? Will my oaths be true as the sun? Will the hand of justice be unflinching in all prospects it pursues?! I cannot say, for my answer comes not today. I am seriously contemplating joining. I enjoy the challenge of 200 words--bring it on. However, I have to get my character together and write up something as an introduction... so wait a day or so?

    Well, this sounds like it could be a children's tale: And in a town there was a man. His name was Joe. One day Joe had a brilliant idea. He rushed about preparing and when he was ready, he presented his idea to the town. His idea exploded, literally, and Joe died. Moral of the story: Don't go about your wonderful idea before checking that it will not blow up and kill you. The End.

    Well, for everyone saying that just because Rae survived the first lynch on her is no reason not to go through with it, I never disagreed with that statement. I simply said it would be messy. Messy things are messy, and messes are not good. I am supportive of what Seonid said about Wonko. I've had my eye on him for awhile.

    There goes the lynch... And in another aspect, we could lynch Rae again, but then we get back into the "Dalinar Cycle", and that would get messy. So now suspicions are still high for Rae, I don't think Nyali is out of the park yet, and I still think we should be better spending our lynches on those suspicious non voters!
