I was going to say a very similar thing until I saw you get downvoted But yeah the point is that you have to kill hundreds or thousands of cremlings to kill a Sleepless (Maybe there's another mechanism but they wouldn't have known). Just one cremling can easily kill someone. I think Sleepless are virtually indestructible without some way of targeting whatever central consciousness they have.

From Leipzig Spren and Radiants can differ on the meaning of the oaths but I think once the bonding process has started (which is the choice of the spren) they must maintain it as the oaths are said. This WoB establishes the choice, the question is whether once the bond has started, a spren can pull out or refuse the oaths. I think not.

I seem to remember a recent WoB that they are developing a standard measurement but that they may never release it. Certainly there's a couple of slightly older statements specifically regarding Breath/Stormlight levels

It's a fair interpretation. But I don't like it because the ad actually says metal tools, and has a picture of a hammer. Sure it may be a subtle way to get someone with a talking sword to contact you, but they know enough about Nighblood surely to know that's unlikely. If Nightblood talks to you, you either know he's valuable enough to not answer a newspaper ad, or he's murdered you. I've seen the idea that they're looking for sentient splinters of Harmony (or Ruin / Preservation). If there are splinters and they have a physical aspect, it'll probably be metal. It has serious issues, but I don't have a better idea.

Hemalurgy will steal the part of your spirit web that gives access to the magic system (bypassing the Initiation aspect) but Sel magics (you my knowledge, all of them) draw on the Dor. The Dor is reaped 3 in the Cognitive Realm, which is location dependent, which is why Sel magic can't be accessed off-world. The investiture you need to draw on is actually on Sel. A spike that makes you into an Elantrian (which is possible, but we have noo idea what metal would do it - atium is the most likely though) won't feel location dependence as actual Elantrians can't access the Dor offworld. You need to actually bring the investiture with you, as it appears the IRE did, or hack the system so you can power your newfound powers with a different source of investiture.
