  1. I mean, there's been a lot in those long posts. For what it's worth, brain is too tired to try and put it into words right now, but just know that there's a gut vibe there that I can't shake and idk why. I'm also not the biggest fan of Araris hopping on and throwing out a vote on Bip for WL. She hasn't posted much (which is understandable, considering her RL situation right now) and I'm curious why Araris feels confident about voting for her with what she has said so...oh, hey, there's a post from her. Anyway, that just came up, so I think my point still stands. It's also interesting to me that Araris made this vote for Bip because like...he normally likes to try and consolidate votes, not expand them, at least from what I can remember of what I've seen from him. ...ignore the fact that I was able to put why Araris made me feel weird into words but can't do it for Fifth. Also, here's a new VC because I like doing these: Hopefully that's all right. Not sure how I feel about a 6-way tie for WL, but that's certainly something. I'm down for leaving that as is, if anyone else is too.
  2. Hey, would anyone be opposed to me taking the next MR? I'm not 100% sure that I can run it, but I probably will be able to, considering Kas's MR has a maximum of 7 cycles before it ends. And the next QF would probably be just a week or so. I just don't want to hog up the queue or anything if the next person in line on the MR list really wants to run a game. I can always wait till next summer. Also, gonna tag the first few people on the MR list as well, to see their thoughts @Kynedath Kynedath/@Zillah @BrightnessRadiant I'm right here (don't know why I'm still marked as busy) @Ashbringer (because I assume that Kas's spot is being used up by his current MR) @Experience
  3. That's fair. I guess I shouldn't be too surprised you have a gut elim read on me. That always happens to me, no matter what alignment I am. I'd be more surprised if you didn't suspect me tbh Partially that, but mostly because they're like my only other option (as in, someone that people have already voted on) that isn't Fifth, who's giving me weird vibes I can't shake.
  4. I don't understand why me not wanting to have one person hog the WL power the whole game isn't a valid reason to want to vote for different people. I'm not a fan of mayoring or anything that resembles it, and having on person be the WL the whole game screams mayoring to me. Plus, it could be that Tani is actually an elim, even if I don't think it's likely, and they act villager-y for now, then at the last minute vote to get a final elim in when we've been expecting to have a +2 to the village nominee. Plus, getting more people into the WL position gets more people voting, because they have to decide who they trust enough to nominate rather than just going with the village consensus and voting for Tani. Plus, the more people we get as WL throughout the game, the more chances we have to catch someone slipping up and doing something that only makes sense for an elim to do. I mean, I'm voting on Elandera and Mat because they're people I think are villagers and other people have already voted on them (both in this turn and in the past). And can you say exactly what I did that made you suspicious of me?
  5. @The Unknown Order Sorry about the inactivity filter warning, I just remembered that you said you'd be mostly gone for C2. You're good for now.
  6. Jaralph had never thought he'd find himself in such a deadly situation. He was just a carpenter. He hadn't once made a weapon in his life, before these Yiga came and infiltrated the castle. Now he had a whole slew of wooden weapons at his disposal. Who am I? Jaralph thought to himself as he walked through the dark halls of Hyrule Castle. He didn't know where he was going; he was just following Mipha, one of the champions herself, wherever she was leading him. She had come to him in the middle of the night, and asked him to come along with her for some important duties. So, now he was trudging along with several wooden weapons strapped to his back, with no idea of where they were going or why. "Mistress?" Jaralph asked softly. Mipha hardly turned back to look at him, though she did slow down a bit. "Can I ask why we're doing this?" "Because I have a bad feeling about tonight." She said. "We're going to find Link or Zelda, and we're going to stay with them. I need to be there in case-" Mipha never finished her sentence. There was a Yiga soldier standing in front of her, his blade piercing her throat, who hadn't been there a moment before. Jaralph was sluggish, slow, untrained in the sword, but he grabbed one of his wooden swords and went to attack the soldier anyway. The soldier puffed away into mist, and Jaralph spun around, trying to see where he went. He didn't have time to react as the Yiga's sword drove through his stomach. King Rhoam Bosphoramus Hyrule, walked with a purpose as he went to find Link and kill him. Granted, he wasn't actually King Rhoam. The true Rhoam was locked away somewhere no one would find him, and that was assuming he wasn't dead by now, killed by another Yiga who grew tired of keeping him prisoner. It wouldn't matter for much longer anyway, as the Yiga were getting close to finding and killing Zelda and Link. Plus, Mipha should be dead by now, if everything had gone according to plan. Once they found and killed Zelda and Link, there would be nothing stopping Calamity Ganon once he returned. Rhoam finally found the room he thought Link was hiding in. The young knight was a great fighter, the best anyone had ever seen with a sword. But he wasn't the greatest at hiding. Rhoam knocked on the door fiercely, trying to embody how he thought the true Rhoam would act. Link opened the door, his eyes groggy. "Link, I need you. Now. Come with me." Rhoam said. He barely had time to react before Link swung the master sword at him, and he had to poof away to not die. Well, he thought to himself, hiding behind a wall a little bit away. That could've gone better. Guess we'll try another idea. The Yiga turned into a little fairy, and flew under the crack of the door that Link had shut. He flew up to Link's bed and then, when he was close enough, yelled, "Hey! Listen! We're under-" He didn't have time to react as Link pulled the master sword out from under the blankets and killed him. Matrim's Dice has been killed! They were a Hyrulean Mipha! Araris Valerian has been killed! They were a Yiga King Rhoam! There will be a removal during this Day turn. There is no vote minimum (though no one is removed if no one votes), and tied votes result in a random tied player getting removed. @YeetAroundABush @The Unknown Order This is an inactivity filter warning. If you don't post this turn, you will be removed or replaced by a pinch hitter. This turn will end at 9:30 am CDT on Wednesday, June 30th. Player List: PMs will be sent out shortly, if they haven't been already.
  7. And that's the turn! No more posting or submitting actions until the next one is up.
  8. @Matrim's Dice @The Unknown Order @Ashbringer @Azmine_king @Archer @Dannex @Szeth_Pancakes @Steeldancer @Araris Valerian @kaylakrue @|TJ| @Devotary of Spontaneity @Jondesu @Alvron @DrakeMarshall@Random Bystander @WhiffleWaffles @attic_gremlin @YeetAroundABush @purplewhiteandgold @Tani @quillinthestars Here is your ~11 hour reminder to get any actions in before the turn closes! Also, here's a second reminder to @Random Bystander that if you don't post this turn, you will be removed from the game (or replaced if a pinch hitter is available, though that's not likely at this point).
  9. So, coolio, TJ got elected. And so did Tani. I'd be fine with either of Tani or Elandera as the next WL. It just depends on if we want to keep doing Tani for a bit, or if we want to diversify who gets the WL thing throughout the game. I think I'd prefer spreading it out a bit, just so it's not always the same person over and over again (both so it's not boring and so it doesn't feel like one person is hogging it for the whole game). In that case, I'll vote for Elandera, though I'm willing to be persuaded to Tani. As for the election, I think I'll go for Mat. Despite our disagreements on stuff, he really did feel like he was coming from a villager-y headspace when he was going back and forth with me. And I appreciate that. Obviously I can't vote on myself, and Szeth has just felt really combative to me so far, which read more like an elim to me, personally. Also here's the VCs because I like making vote counts EDIT: Put the VCs in a quote box because it looks nice
  10. *sigh* I missed it somehow. The VC has been edited to reflect your vote and we'll just pretend RNG would've killed stick anyway
  11. And that's the turn! No more posting or submitting actions until the next one is up!
  12. Okay, about to go do stuff for LG78, but just wanted to say that I'm currently trusting TJ, Elandera, Archer, and (somewhat more tentatively) Tani. I can understand Fifth's point about how he writes things, but I still am not a huge fan of where his votes have ended up. And I don't know how I feel about Szeth, mostly because of how hard they went after me about the "don't mention voting on yourself" thing. Here's the VC again: (you're welcome @Kasimir :P) EDIT: The VC has been fixed
  13. Okay. I'm probably too tired to be making big decisions like this, but I'm curious why we're voting Fifth for the election when I haven't seen much trust thrown his way? I feel like more trust has been thrown TJ's way (Archer), and I agree with that trust as well. He's seemed more genuine to me than Fifth, though that might be because TJ's posts feel more like just thoughts he's saying while Fifth's feel super...not forced, but extra thought out, as if he spent a lot of time thinking about how to say things the right way. I think I'll also join the train on Tani (Mat), since she has the experience in games like this and can help us out a lot. (Though, again, won't be opposed if you guys decide to give me worker leader after this, while I'm asleep and dealing with rollover from my own game ) Here's the updated version of the VCs:
  14. @Matrim's Dice @The Unknown Order @Ashbringer @Azmine_king @Archer @Dannex @Szeth_Pancakes @Steeldancer @Araris Valerian @kaylakrue @|TJ| @Devotary of Spontaneity @_Stick_ @Jondesu @Alvron @DrakeMarshall@Random Bystander @WhiffleWaffles @attic_gremlin @YeetAroundABush @purplewhiteandgold @Tani @quillinthestars Here is your 10 hour reminder to get any actions and votes in before the turn closes! Also, here's a VC (please tell me if it's wrong, Alv's latest vote count has me paranoid I'm the one actually wrong ) Stick (4): Matrim's Dice, Ashbringer, Steeldancer, Tani Tani (3): Archer, Stick, Alvron Ashbringer (1): Araris Valerian Szeth_Pancakes (1): WhiffleWaffles Steeldancer (1): Jondesu
  15. @Szeth_Pancakes Just tagging because I can’t get the quotes to work right on mobile since they’re on separate pages. I definitely disagree about the “avoid people talking about their own election” thing. Everyone, regardless of alignment, wants to get elected this game. It serves every single player’s wincon to try and get elected somehow. At worst, arguing for one’s own election is NAI. At best, it’s more village leaning, because a villager is going to be even more paranoid about who they elect, and they are the only player they know is village and would be safe to elect. Also, I wasn’t even trying to get people to stop voting for me necessarily, if that’s what they really wanted to do. I was mostly joking and saying “hey, I guess I appreciate the trust, but ouch you guys really don’t want me to play a game for longer then a cycle or two, do you? :P” Like, that’s the vibe I was going for with that post. Would I be upset at all if people elected me? No, I wouldn’t. But I would like to actually play this game. Anyway, those are my thoughts on things. I’m about to go back to work, and I have no idea what the votes are like right now, so I’m leaving my votes where they are for now.
  16. Okay, everyone, please welcome @kaylakrue to the game! She's replacing hyliara.
  17. Sigh, that's what I get for making the post right before I had to leave. My thought process was that a villager would be more likely to forget part of the rules, because an elim has incentive to go and read the rules once they find out they're an elim, because knowing the rules helps an elim scheme better. The "clearly thinking like a villager" part was supposed to be a joke, but the shard ate my that came after that sentence. You obviously didn't see my edit.
