  1. I did something like MarRiis or something in the writeup because AraRiice just felt...strange to me. Plus it’d be a little confusing with AraRaash also floating around out there. I mean, there’s a reason I run games in the summer. Don’t have much time to do it during the school year. I could maybe get a rerun of this game in just before the AG? But if I’m gonna do that, I’d rather do one of the other ideas I’ve got in the waitlist, and save this ruleset as a yearly event type thingy each summer. Or at least, every summer until I get too busy to keep doing it.
  2. Oh yeah, I’m definitely running this as many times as I can milk it for. It’s too good of a rule set to pass up running it as many times as I can. Hopefully I can get LG88 next time to keep the pattern going. Yeah, I’m sorry about that man :/ HECC YEAH SO PROUD
  3. No, don't be sorry about the monologues at all. I love reading people's GM PMs. It's really really fun, and definitely a reason that I like running games. I highly encourage more people to do monologues and stuff in their GM PMs. It's fun seeing what's going on inside our players' heads. Also, I'm really glad that you're fond of LG66 and that you felt this one lived up to the hype as well.
  4. I've been thinking about changing the amount of words required in order to get the discussion boxings. It seems like the current crop of players has a tendency to do shorter posts and stuff, so I think artificially trying to get them to post more doesn't really work. I think I'll keep the RP word count where it is, and move the discussion one to anywhere from 100-150 or so. And if I changed that, the Gasper role would change along with it as well. Or I could make the discussion boxings reward be 2 per post, but I worry about how that would affect the rate at which people acquired boxings. What do you mean they never really came into play? Araris was the Kandra and all of those "coinshot" kills were actually him.
  5. Well, it was 3-2-1 for N5. One villager died because Bip double tapped Dannex with the elim kill and the last coinshot kill she had from the medallion. Mat was trying to be the last one to submit the elim kill so he could hit Ash with it and prolong the game, but Bip got the last submission in. So with that, it went to 2-2-1. Keep in mind that the Kandra doesn't count towards parity. So at this point, since both you and Bip bought a Bribe last night, the votes would've been 1-1, ignoring the Kandra since they don't count to parity. Which means the elims won. Even if you'd tried to redirect someone, it would've been randomly redirected since Mat was Sliding you.
  6. ....I'm sad that this doesn't even show up when I try to quote it
  7. Also, I just want to say thanks to @Biplet for keeping me sane while I was running this, even though she was playing this and I made her wake up at 8 am everyday to be on for rollover. Plus she dealt with me having to do this while we were on our little anniversary trip a few days ago. And she put up with the stress that me cursing her as an elim put on her really well. She also made a lot of really funny memes both in thread and in the doc, so that was really fun to watch as well. Anyway, I wouldn't be here without her, so just a huge thanks to her. Love you Bip. EDIT: Also also, she definitely called and woke me up ten minutes before rollover at one point because I accidentally slept in, so yeah, huge thanks for that as well.
  8. So I assume you're still cool with me and Bip taking the next LG? I was already planning on doing that, considering LG77 just ended today and LG78's signups probably need to go up in a couple days or so.
  9. Thank you so much to everyone who played! It was a blast getting to run this game again! I loved getting to watch all of you play and it makes me really happy to know that you guys really like these rules and have fun with them. It's always so much fun getting to run these games, and it really warms my heart to know that you guys like them too. Just...thank you guys so much. And also a huge thank you to @Elbereth and @Young Bard as well. These games would not be possible without their amazing help, especially with the spreadsheet. Most of this happens because of their work, and I just take a lot of the credit for myself since I made the rules. Anyway, I'll eventually give more thoughts about how the game went this time, and what I think I could do to improve it for the next run (I've already started making a v3 of the rules), but for now I just want to congratulate @Ashbringer, @Biplet, and @Lotus for their win! And also @Araris Valerian and @Matrim's Dice for playing really really well as the Kandra. It got really really close at the end there, and Mat very nearly could've won if things had gone slightly differently, which would've been awesome. It's not often you get to see a SK win. Also, Araris, picking Mat as your successor was such a smart move. If you'd hit a villager, the game would've ended right there. Or maybe would've ended after D5, but it would've been much harder for your successor to try and win. @Archer Thanks for making a really fun character to work with, I hope you appreciate what I did with them in the writeup. It was always really funny seeing you RP with them. @DrakeMarshall I just want to congratulate you on earning the most boxings almost every turn of the game, and I'm only saying almost because I'm too lazy to go back and check that that's actually what happened. Plus it was fun seeing you and Lotus and Bip RP together for the short period of time at the beginning of the game before Lotus died. And I'm glad you and Bip continued that RP banter between your characters throughout the game. @Illwei Thank you so much for subbing in for @Ventyl, even if you died shortly after. You immediately came in and started making the elims sweat a bit, as if they weren't already before that. Also, if anyone's curious about what possibilities they had for their roles, you can look at the version history for the Role Assignment tab in the sheet and go to the version from May 29th at 8:37 am CDT and see what could've happened. Anyway, just a huge thank you to everyone who played. These games wouldn't be possible without you, and I appreciate you all so so much. Running games brings me a lot of joy and gives me something to look forward to everyday. I often need that, so just thank you all so much for playing. It really does make me so happy that you all enjoy my games.
  10. And that's the turn! No more posting or submitting actions! Is that the end of the game though? Find out on the next episode of Sanderson Elimination!
  11. So obviously the answer is I just run one of my MRs now alongside the next LG that I am also running, right? What could go wrong with me running two games at once?
  12. Oh yeah I forgot I need to do a reminder. @Ashbringer @Biplet @Matrim's Dice @DrakeMarshall @Archer @Dannex With about...9.5 hours left in the cycle, here’s your reminder to get any actions in before the turn is over!
  13. You could go ahead and sign up now. The waitlist for running games is very long right now.
  14. If two people redirect the same player to the same second player, it just works. If they redirect the first player to two different second players...honestly have no idea how to resolve that conflict. @Young Bard Thoughts? So, this is complicated. Here's an example: Player A is redirecting Player B to Player C. Player B is redirecting Player D to Player E. These are our two action submissions we get. What happens is that Player A successfully redirects Player B. Which means that instead of Player D getting redirected to Player E, Player C gets redirected to Player E.
  15. Definitely not caramel, considering that has milk in it for some reason at Starbucks.
  16. Can't say I was super surprised to die C1 again somehow. It was fun causing sheer chaos over the course of that first 24 hours, and I probably would've acted similarly for the rest of the game if I'd managed to not die, since I was also running my own game alongside this one. Anyway, I was really interested by the Forger role. I just generally like conversion roles. I think that the arsonist thing should be something that any elim can do, so it's not necessarily a part of the Forger role itself. So like, any elim can submit the action to tag someone once they've been converted, but only the first elim can do the conversions.
  17. Earl Euphemie had tried to go into hiding as best as he could, after his latest failed assassination. It didn't work very well, considering he still had to go to the daily meetings in the capitol building, and, well...now he was stuck there with the rest of the people. That wasn't good for him, not at all. People were yelling and shouting at the guards keeping them locked in here now. It was the second day of them being trapped in the main meeting hall, after the guards had locked them all in there yesterday afternoon. Something about needing to keep everyone safe from something. Well, Earl thought that was bogus. Plus he felt like he was trapped and the walls were closing in on him and that his employer must be in the meeting hall with him and would kill him any moment. So he tried to escape. He tapped bendalloy and stopped breathing, trying to move as quietly as he could. He snuck his way through the seats at the back of the hall, which were all mostly empty since everyone was gathered at the front to argue and yell. He found an entrance that was left unguarded by a guard. In one quick moment, he leaped out of the seats and made for the exit. He didn't make it far before he felt himself being pulled back by something, and fell to the ground. A guard came running over to him, pinning him to the ground. And of course, Goren chose that moment to enter the meeting hall, right through the entrance Earl had been planning to escape through. "Why is this man pinned to the ground, soldier?" Goren said. "He was trying to escape, sir." Goren sighed. "Great, makes sense, take him outside for...questioning, but don't go without at least two other guards with you." Earl stopped paying attention to what they said at that point, trying to escape from the grip of the guard pinning him down. It was useless. He tried burning nicrosil and touching the man, seeing if he could shock him by making him burn all his iron too fast. It didn't work. Rusts, Earl thought, he must've stopped burning. There wasn't much Earl could do besides scream for help as the guard and his companions dragged him outside. A few minutes later, the others heard a gunshot from nearby, but Goren calmed them down and told them it was a routine practice shot. ~ Szeth_Pancakes has been removed! They were a Loyalist Nicroburst/Subsumer Twinborn! Szeth_Pancakes (3): Ashbringer, Biplet, Matrim's Dice Ashbringer (2): Archer, DrakeMarshall PMs are still closed, so please avoid PMing still. In addition, the Black Market is now open! You can see the amount of items available below. Buying an item doesn't count towards a player's two actions per cycle. This turn will end at 9 am CDT on Sunday, June 13th. Player List: Black Market: PMs will be sent out shortly, if they haven't been already.
  18. And that's the turn! No more posting or voting or submitting actions until the next one is posted!
  19. @Ashbringer @Biplet @Matrim's Dice @Szeth_Pancakes @DrakeMarshall @Archer @Dannex Sorry about the delay for this, but here's your about 9.5 hour reminder to get any votes and actions submitted before the turn ends! Also, here's a VC: Ashbringer (2): DrakeMarshall, Matrim's Dice Matrim's Dice (2): Archer, Biplet
  20. Yeah, I was joking about that with Bip the other day. I really hope I can make that work. It shouldn’t be too hard to make it happen, as long as LG88 would be happening next summer. Preferably in the middle.
  21. At the same time as/right after kills, since it would happen when the Kandra dies.
  22. Yoden didn't think of himself as a particularly clever man. Sure, there was a reason he'd ended up in his position of power, though some might say he would've gotten nowhere near an office if he hadn't been from a noble family. But sometimes he felt like everyone was one step ahead of him. Until now. He'd been looking for the Sweeper. The meeting had just recently ended for the day, and someone had managed to make a mess everywhere, and Yoden was the unlucky fellow told to go find the Sweeper. He'd started calling himself the Moper and was moping around and slacking on his duties, and Yoden found himself wondering how in Harmony's name the man hadn't been fired yet. Yoden finally found the Sweeper's closet in the building, and opened it without knocking. He was about to ask for the Sweeper to come help when he noticed the pile of bones on the floor. There was a...thing squeezing through a crack in one of the walls, and Yoden just barely got a glimpse of it before it disappeared. Yoden stood there for a moment, all thoughts of the mess in the meeting hall fleeing his mind. All he could think about was the bones on the ground before him, in the Sweepers closet no less, and that strange thing that he had seen. Oh Harmony, Yoden thought, Sweeper was a Faceless Immortal, and he's just abandoned his body for a new one. ~ Magrait found themselves sneaking through the halls of the capitol building. While they were probably the closest match to Adomert and Inedze out there, they still had their own...personality quirks. They couldn't stop themselves from stealing things sometimes. Her current mark was walking ahead of them, and Magrait was sure that the mark didn't know they were following. Which was only reasonable. Magrait had a nearly perfect track record as a thief. Suddenly, her mark made a turn around a corner, and Magrait turned the corner to follow them. They stopped when their mark wasn't there, their hand going to the knife at their side. A hand wrapped around her neck, pulling her to the cold ground. Before Magrait could let out a noise, another hand covered their mouth. Magrait frantically tapped her copperminds, looking to see if there was any information that could help them from those. There wasn't much, though they did realize they didn't want to die like Adomert or Inedze had. So they fought, biting at the hand covering their mouth and trying to pull the arm away from their throat. It wasn't much use, though their attacker finally pulled their hand away from Magrait's mouth. Magrait was about to yell for help when a cold sharp pain hit them in the back. For a moment, Magrait was confused as the pain hit them and her attacker stood up. Magrait tried to move, but then they realized their body was failing. Their limbs were going numb, their vision growing cloudy, and finally Magrait realized that the pain in their back was from a knife. Magrait coughed up some blood, and began to tap their copperminds as their life began to fade. Better to relive the good memories from Adomert and Inedze's lives during her final moments. ~ Veren stopped tapping their tinminds. Veren had suspected Magrait for awhile, had found some of their missing appearances suspicious. And while Veren was currently trying to work both sides of this foolish gathering against each other, they weren't okay with murder or the destruction of miles' worth of railroads. And so, they followed Magrait through the building, tapping tin to increase their senses so they couldn't lose them in these dark hallways. It's hard to lose track of someone when you can hear them from miles away. And they were constantly burning electrum. The experience was disconcerting sometimes, but Veren had grown so used to it that they often forgot that everyone else didn't watch their future selves do things seconds ahead, and then make new decisions off of that. So Veren saw their own shock a few seconds before anything happened, and they began to slow down, hand going to their side in case they needed a knife. Magrait had just turned down a corner a little bit ago, though they hadn't come out yet. Veren quickly considered what her shock must mean. It could be that they walked around the corner and saw a dead body, someone Magrait had killed. Maybe Magrait was attacking someone, maybe- Veren was surprised to see Magrait dead on the ground, pooling in their own blood. And they saw themselves taking a knife to the back as well. They quickly tapped tin, heightening their senses even more, turning around to grab the knife before it hit them. Their new electrum shadows kept dying, and Veren began to react to each death quickly, struggling to keep their attacker's knife away from them. It was surprisingly difficult. Veren was surprised by who it was, but maybe they shouldn't have been. Suddenly, Veren's electrum stores ran out. They panicked, realizing what had happened. They'd been burning electrum too much, almost flaring it to keep themselves alive in the fight. They hadn't prepared to need this much tonight. And so, their attacker quickly took advantage of Veren's moment of surprise, putting a knife in their stomach, and knocked them to the ground. Veren struggled, trying to crawl away, but they didn't get far before their attacker finished them off and fled into the scene. ~ "You're telling me," Goren said to Yoden, who'd been in Goren's office far later than he'd wanted to be, "that the Sweeper was some sort of mythological creature from the stories come to life?" "Yes." Yoden said. "For the fifteenth time, I know what I saw. The bones were in the closet, and something squeezed through a crack in the wall." The guards in the office with them seemed unnerved by this story, even despite how often Yoden had said it by now "Well," Goren said thoughtfully. "We're locking down the city. We already have everyone here in the building, and no one is leaving this building unless they were in this room tonight. If there really is a murderous Faceless Immortal out there, it can't be any of us, yes?" There were some nods around the room, and Yoden found himself reluctantly nodding. "That means it could be literally anyone in this rusting city. It's probably someone in this building, or at least that's what I'd assume given all the important stuff is happening here. First things first, we're going to-" The door suddenly burst open, a guard running in. "Sir!" He yelled, trying to catch his breath, "two dead bodies in the same hallway. We're trying to figure out how they died." "Change of plans then." Goren said, standing up. He looked to those who had already been in the room, and they carefully began to surround the new guard. Just in case. "We're locking everyone up in the main hall for now, if they aren't there already. We're staying here until we figure this rusting thing out." He shook his head. "Two new murders and a Faceless Immortal in the same night?" ~ Araris Valerian has died! They were the Kandra! Devotary of Spontaneity has been killed! They were a Loyalist Spinner Ferring and Thief! Flyingbooks has been killed! They were a Loyalist Oracle/Windwhisper Twinborn! A secret has been revealed! PMs are still closed, so please avoid PMing still. In addition, there will be a removal this turn. As a reminder, there is no vote minimum, and a tied vote will result in one of the tied players being removed. This turn will end at 9 am CDT on Saturday, June 12th. Player List: PMs will be sent out shortly, if they haven't been already.
