  1. Personally, I think it's pretty likely at this point that one of the people who voted on Stick is an elim. ....okay, I know that wasn't very helpful, but I needed to get my thoughts about that out. Also, why are we suspecting either Stick or Devotary of being the SK? Is there something about the rules I'm forgetting that makes it possible that they're still alive?
  2. Ohhh, I keep forgetting that. My bad. I guess Drake isn't as cleared as I thought he was. I'm still gonna leave my vote on Sart though, because I trust him way less than I do Drake.
  3. I'm so sorry I didn't get on to perform an action yesterday. I turned out to be much busier than I thought I would be, though I'm much more free now. Anyway my gut guesses for who could be an elim right now are Sart and/or DA. Reading their exchanges, I just feel really uncomfortable. Something about them sets off elim signals in my head, but I can't tell why. I'm leaning more towards Sart being the elim of the two, but if he isn't, then I'd say DA is probably an elim. I'm pretty sure Drake is village, because he's been very valuable in helping with the village strategy to fight off the Krell (even though my inactivity ultimately hurt us). He could just be an elim who is great at acting (and is using his hilarious roleplaying to hide his status as an elim), but I find that unlikely. I guess to keep things moving, I'll go ahead and vote on Sart.
  4. Okay, first: I'M ACTUALLY SO EXCITED FOR THIS SIXTH OF THE DUSK STORY. Ahem. Now that that's out of the way, I think it's crazy that he confirmed that there are going to be both a Rock short story and Lopen short story, on top of the already mentioned Rysn story. I was hoping that Rock going back to his homeland would be in RoW, but I think I can deal with it being in just a short story.
  5. Seth stood in the corner, away from everyone else. He'd gotten tired listening to those people talking about the Krell being some sort of bunny, whatever that was. So, he'd decided to come here and sulk for a bit. Hey, I just wanted to say I probably won't be able to post again this cycle because I'm leaving for a grad party soon, and that'll be over after this cycle is over. Sorry I couldn't RP more either, I couldn't come up with anything else to say. Feel free to have your characters interact with Seth in any way you want!
  6. I'll go ahead and sign up as Seth "Striker" Johnson.
  7. Bro, don’t just tease us like that! Post the actual alphabet!
  8. I’m not sure. If soulcasting someone completely changes their cognitive aspect, meaning there’s no leftover cognitive shadow once they die, then I think this crime would work. If soulcasting someone counts as a death for the person, the energy released as they die could be harnessed by Moelach. This would be a really interesting question for Brandon.
  9. I think he said something more along the lines of the Unmade exaggerating problems that Balat already had. I don’t think the Unmade could completely cause tendencies like those Balat possesses out of nothing.
  10. I mean, Redin can’t really be king of Jah Keved right now because Taravangian is. At least, for now...
  11. There are theories that the primary purpose of Moelach, the death rattle Unmade, isn’t to give people death rattles but instead to glean information from the minds of people as they die. And, this process would result in the dying person getting a glimpse of the Spiritual Realm. So, if you don’t know what Moelach wants to know, then you can’t give him that information when you die.
  12. I could see him going one of three ways. Either he’ll join the cast at Urithiru, he’ll find out about some anti-Urithiru group (Diagram, Ghostbloods, etc), or he’ll be a rogue. Any of those options is cool, as long as he gets some more screen time.
  13. @Karger @ZenBossanova @Scion of the Mists There’s definitely not been a confirmation of the Iriali being part dragon. I think what Karger was thinking about was some speculation on a Shardcast episode. Besides that, I’ve never heard anything about the dragon-Iriali connection before.
  14. Oh yeah, I completely forgot about that guy! I could totally see him becoming a Dustbringer. Do we know if he was apart of the Diagram? Or did he just happen to be there when Taravangian was?
  15. King Rock! King Rock! Seriously though, I think @Tiberius Gracchus and @Calyx have the right idea. Vathah definitely needs to become a Lightweaver. I’d also love to see more from Gaz, maybe even his own path towards becoming a Radiant (imagine him having to directly confront Kaladin again and admit that what he did was horrible and he was a horrible person for what he did. If you can’t tell, I like redemption stories for horrible characters). Rlain definitely needs to have a big role as well. I really hope he’s been off looking for the remaining Listeners, forming a group of Singers that can unite with Venli’s rebel faction (we all know it’s probably gonna happen). I just really want to know who our new Dustbringer us. I hope they’re more important than just being a weapon for Brandon to use in battles for our heroes. I want to know who they are, how they got to where ever they are, etc. This is more of a hope for back 5 stuff, but I’m dying to see Oroden and Gavinor be best buds in the back 5. One or both of them needs to be a Radiant as well.
  16. Ever since I discovered Brandon, I’ve had a really hard time getting into anything new. I managed to get into WoT, but I was mostly motivated to read that so I could get to Brandon’s books. Granted, the series had some really good parts before that (I’m looking at you, Dumai’s Wells), but the only thing that kept me going through the slog was the promise of an epic ending from Brandon. I have managed to read some other books lately. Besides for a few exceptions though, most of them haven’t been anywhere near as enjoyable as reading in general used to be. Don’t get me wrong, I love to read and most books I read a really good. However, hardly anything hooks me into being super obsessed with it anymore. For context, when I read stuff like Percy Jackson or Young Elites, I got super hooked and obsessed. Now, I don’t think I’ve gotten really interested in anything that wasn’t by Brandon (again, besides WoT). I’ve just started reading N.K. Jemisin’s The Fifth Season, and I’m really loving her writing style. I feel so giddy while I’m reading it, kind of like how I felt when I read Brandon for the first time. I’m only a few chapters in so far though (I haven’t had much time to read lately, and when I have time I get distracted), so that could change by the end. I don’t think it will, though.
  17. He's the flashback Stoneward, but we'll probably get tons of other Stoneward that are at least important characters before his book.
  18. There are theories that Shardplate is more like a fabrial than the Blades are. Granted, I think that's Brandon saying RAFO as in, "you will find out soon," not, "you're wrong but I don't want to tell you you're wrong."
  19. The part you're thinking of just mentions that the general is important in some way. I guess, technically speaking, that could mean he will be the Dustbringer Brandon was talking about, but I doubt it.
  20. @Emerald_Cross Yeah, that's definitely just a printing issue for the book specifically. You might be able to still return it and get a better copy, depending on where you bought it.
  21. Yay, an episode where one of my who’s that Cosmere character submissions was played! I don’t even remember when I sent that one in. In hindsight, you were probably right, @Chaos. I definitely should’ve led with my normal clue of “this character is [gender].” @Argent I’m so thinking about doing a submission where the character is one of the Khal’s.... @Windrunner My little brother can’t believe you managed to guess his character with just the first clue! We were both dying from laughter when that happened. Anyway, I’m definitely the most hyped to learn about the Willshapers. Partially because I really like Venli and partially because I can’t wait to see a Willshaper in action. I’m imagining that they can use Cohesion from a distance, and I’ve envisioned a scene where a Willshaper is riding a wave of rippling stone while destroying enemies. This episode definitely increased my hype for the Dustbringers though. I forgot how little we really know about them, so it’ll be cool to finally get to learn more about them. I’m excited to see who the new Dustbringer for book 4 is. I hope they get a POV chapter at least once, but I doubt it.
  22. I’m actually not in the mood to reread yet. If I ever do a reread, I’ll probably only do the first 6, then the last 3 or 4. Androl was one of my favorites as soon as he was introduced. The relationship between him and Pevara was probably my favorite part of Brandon’s books. That’s probably because it was a weak character figuring out how to use his limited ability to do something great, which is definitely one of my favorite types of characters. It’s also one of Brandon’s favorite archetypes, which probably explains why he got so much limelight. And then Pevara opening up to him and learning to accept him as a male channeler and, even more important, as a person and friend was just so good. And Brandon did it in a very limited amount of page time, which is amazing.
  23. Light, I don’t even know where to begin. I just feel so emotionally drained after all that I’ve been through. It was so just so epic and heart-wrenching, yet at the same time so very satisfying. I just wish I could know what happened afterwards, but that’s always how it is when stories end. I think I’ll feel a lot better once I’ve had a good night’s sleep.
  24. I could definitely use that shoulder.
  25. Yeah, it definitely didn’t feel like I was reading it all that quickly in the moment, though. By the time I finished the last battle chapter, I just couldn’t stop reading there. Then next thing I knew, Rand was walking away from Shayol Ghul. I really pushed myself way too hard trying to finish that in the time I did, but I’m glad I was able to read the last battle to the end all in one sitting. Oh, Androl and Pevara are my new WoT OTP. I wish there had been more of them in the book! I know there was limited space for them as it was, but I just loved those two so much. I would read a whole book with just those two as the main characters.
