  1. When you watch a Film Theory about how Spiderman would die every time he web-swinging due to the laws of physics and think: "Oh, so Peter Parker is also unconsciously burning pewter. Makes sense, really."
  2. I feel like I must be stupid for asking... but did that actually happen? And if it did... what happened afterward? Because I'm having a hard time imagining that you wouldn't have been punished in some way TMW you actually do turn out to be stupid because another 3 minutes of reading would've gotten me my answer lol. You know you're a Sanderfan when you're at a Father's and Son's camp and one of the adults mentions Steelheart and you jump up from your chair and scream "YUS I LOVE YOU." Also when you go to a BYU author's camp and are disappointed you never saw Sanderson (why'd you have to go to Austrailia? WHY?!)
  3. Poor Sanderson probably cried himself to sleep for the loss of the wonderful plot twist he was planning to throw at the community.
  4. Found Kaladin's 17th Shard persona
  5. I have never ran out of upvotes so quickly as when I read this thread. Sharder Clickbait: Odium's Master Plan Leaked! Brandon Reveals New Shard! How TLR appears in WoR! In-World Clickbait: This Cursed City has unfathomable secrets! (pictures) King caught red-handed! How the Newcomer in court discovered it! This strange metal gives unbelievable power! Highstorms are blowing the wrong way! Find out how! This traveler may be older than he looks! (pictures)
  6. Welcome! Have an upvote! (mostly for that name lol) You're going to love it, it's a wild ride here We only have one rule here, and it's DON'T EAT THE COOKIES!
  7. Bruh... can you imagine if two people with all 10 surges went at it? ...now that I'm thinking about it, didn't the visions mention that Dalinar needs to make Odium "choose a champion"? What if the climax is between Odium's champion and one of the main cast... both with all 10 surges?
  8. People on Roshar be like:
  9. I was scrolling through the thread, when I found this... The irony needs no explanation XD
  10. You give him an Aluminum Metalmind and make him think that he's the great magician "Simon". Either that you hand him a shardblade, point at the Voidbringers, and say "Them bad. Poke with Sword." And see him go at it. ...or you could teach him to say "I am a Herald." In all seriousness I do like that theory, have an upvote :^).
  11. T'ra-van-gian and Szeth T'ra-van-gian and Szeth One is a genius (sometimes) The other's insane---
  12. (sorry to derail but) I just love that we're calling god "Uncle Andy" now.
  13. I would post my own list, but it's basically EXACTLY that, so I'ma just give an upvote
  14. That would be storming amazing. Have an upvote
  15. So, I've been thinking lately about how freaking powerful Fullborns (i.e. TLR) are, and considered how powerful they would be against entire armies on Roshar. Then I got to thinking how the ending of WoR could've gone a lot better for the Alethi if they had a Fullborn they could unleash upon the Parshendi. So for no particular reason, here are a couple of ways a single Fullborn could've stopped the Everstorm from appearing on the plateau that day. Scenario 1: The Steel "I win" button. Preparations: 1 Fullborn, with filled steel metalminds piercing him (because that's how compounding works I think)+ 1 Shardblade Step 1: Alethi give F-Steel equipped Fullborn a shardblade. Step 2: Fullborn compounds steel and begins cutting through the ranks of the Parshendi. Step 3: They begin dying by the thousands as he/she tears through their ranks. Step 4: The Parshendi occupied summoning the Everstorm are all wiped out before they even realize what's going on, because compounded F-Steel is OP Step 5: Alethi win. They celebrate with large amounts of drinking. Step 6: Kaladin becomes KR because this wouldn't have changed what happened back in the camps. Shallan probably still would've found Urithiru. Good job Shallan. Scenario 2: The Fullborn Meteor. Preparations: 1 Fullborn, with filled Iron, Pewter and Gold metalminds piercing him, also equipped with vials of Steel and Pewter. (This scenario is completely impractical due to the inefficiency and danger presented to the Fullborn, however, it would look awesome/horrible when executed, so I included it anyway) Step 1: Drop a coin and position Fullborn to launch in a trajectory that lands him on the plateau with the singing Parshendi. Step 2: The Fullborn launches himself, possibly filling or tapping the Ironminds as necessary to change the trajectory, because Alethi mathematicians are terrible. Step 3: The Fullborn reaches the crux of his parabolic flight, he compounds F-Iron, and either compounds or heavily taps F-Pewter. Step 4: The Fullborn is now a living meteor. Step 5: The Fullborn compounds F-Gold and flares A-Pewter milliseconds before impact, hopefully this will keep him alive. It might not. Step 6: The plateau shatters, the singing Parshendi die. If the Fullborn survives the initial impact (don't fail me now A-Pewter!) he will recover and will be as right as rain. Step 7: Repeat for all Parshendi Plateaus. The Alethi win. Everstorm never happened. Kaladin still becomes KR. Shallan might not find Urithiru, depends on whether or not the Fullborn destroys the Oathgate. Scenario 3: Fullborn Magneto Preparations: 10+ coins, the more the better really. Fullborn equipped with Zinc metalminds piercing him, also equipped with LOTS of A-Steel and A-Iron Step 1: The Fullborn launches himself into the Parshendi army. Step 2: The Fullborn lands in the middle of the singing Parshendi. Step 3: The Fullborn compounds Zinc and uses A-Steel and A-Iron to manipulate coins, the Zinc will allow him the mental speed necessary to keep track of the Pushes and Pulls Step 4: The Fullborn is now Magneto. Thousands of Parshendi fall victim to his/her maelstrom of metal. Step 5: Alethi Win, results ultimately the same as the Steel "I Win" Button. Idk why I posted this, I put this in the SA section because it takes place on Roshar, though it might actually be more suited for the Mistborn section. It's just a fun little thought experiment. Feel free to poke holes in the Scenarios, or contribute some of your own.
  16. I want to see Hoid fight. Nuff' said. Maybe against a KR who ticked him off (or got ticked off at him), and I just want to see what happens when someone actually tries to fight to the death against Hoid. I don't think it's going to happen, but I would also LOVE it if Hoid became a KR. Just the Idea of someone already hyper-powerful, who now glows and has the raw invested power of Stormlight flowing through their veins. Now I wonder if a Mistborn turned KR would be able to use the stormlight to fuel Allomancy...
  17. I mean... the concept sounds ridiculous, but I can't help but imagine Jasnah accidentally crossing paths with Kaladin, and they're both on some super-important mission, and he makes Jasnah stop in her tracks. The more I think about it the more I end up laughing at the idea of ever-so-important Jasnah turning into a befuddled mess at the sight of him, all while he's going "What's her deal?"
  18. @Meannadarie Same here actually, I started my BS collection with two books, WoK, and Steelheart. I had to give up on WoK after chapter 3, only to come back to it after I finished Steelheart. SOOO freaking glad I did
  19. *TMW you gotta stop this thread from dying* Breathe darn you! Breathe! *grabs defibrillator*
  20. Welcome! I wouldn't recommend a cookie. I had one a while back, and I've been hearing voices inside my head, so.... PSsSsssSShh Don't listen to hIm, tHe CooKiEs are SimPly amaZing, yOu shouLD try One.
  21. Well, I would get into this battle of wits, but I don't think I'm very well matched. You see, not everyone can simply turn to google for a decent insult.
  22. LOL considering the size of WoR, this title would've been really appropriate XD
  23. Wait what? What? WHAT? WHERE? WHEN? HOW? I have many questions
  24. I imagine some being made of... liquid shadow, if that makes any sense. Physically kinda looks like a person wearing a hood, maybe skeletal, or skeletal-ish hands and no visible face.
  25. Well I guess that's my contribution to the conversation effectively sunk @Samaldin and, just to clarify, I wasn't thinking 80-800 proto-Radiants per mistborn, but anywhere in that range inhabiting the entire army, the point being that a weaponized proto-Radiant is nearly as effective a killing machine as a full Shardbearer, and doubles in killing ability with every oath spoken, which my point being is that you find more and more oaths spoken as this massive interplanetary war goes on. But then I guess it's a moot point since @Yata confirmed that the Nahel bond would definitely have problems outside Roshar. Bummer. R.I.P Rosharans then EDIT: Reading a post a few pages back mentioning a WoB that stated that "some Radiant orders had membership in the low thousands", I wanna ask. Are we all in agreement that if the Rosharans got access to all the Shards that the Radiants used to have, they would win hands down? Cuz I have a hard time imagining the Scadrians being able to stop an army with more than 300 shardbearers.
