  1. Willshapers, would you please stop using cohesion to trace your and your partner's initials in the walls? The Stonewards are starting to get annoyed. They have better things to do besides fix the marks of a week long fling.
  2. Day Six: Dramatic Interpretation "'Death comes to all. Death is the end of all men. No matter how drunk they may have been at the time of death.' The remnants of the Prince's men looked at the dead body of Captain Grumbleton. He had been a fool to reveal the royal stores of beer. Not only was that only something guards knew, it was just asking for pirates to bash you over the head, with the gleaming of murder in their eyes. As they drank upon the drink that they had killed Grumbleton to feast upon, the guards became enraged. They seized upon one of the pepetrators- Drake, one of those who had come back from the fire swamp with a little more purpose- and took him away from the reveling of the pirates. They were so drunk on the liquor that they didn't notice him being dragged away. Drake, however, wasn't exactly screaming his way out. He was giggling to himself. 'As you wish', he said drunkenly to the guards who dragged him away. 'As you wish.' The Count stared with hard eyes. 'Why don't we just kill them all right here. We could run in with our gleaming steel, thrust our blades into their cowardly drunken hearts before they even had time to lift another cup to their lips. We could even just poison the entire barrel, and let them kill themselves.' The Prince shook his head. 'If we did that, it would be a lot harder to contain the rumors of us trying to hide what has happened here. Our best bet is to let them consume themselves, while we slowly dispose of members who inconvenience us. Like this Drake man here.'" Grandpa Steel stopped reading, looking up at Alvron, who was busy making his stuffed snake bite his arm, while making hissing noises. Alvron looked up, somewhat embarrassed. "Look, I know more stuff has been happening, but I'm getting bored. What if the entire castle burns down? I bet Burnt would like that! It would be exciting!" Steel gave Alvron a look of concern. "Have you seen a psychiatrist? Your instincts of death and destruction are... a little extreme." Alvron gave Steel a somewhat disturbing grin. "You could make it so the gas activity that allows the fire swamp to be so firey to come and ignite the alcohol, setting the entire thing on fire!" His grandfather sighed, and then decided that perhaps Alvron was just messing around. He would ask his mother whether he had had a penchant for burning things. Perhaps encouraging him wasn't the best idea. But first, to finish the story. "So, Drake was dragged away to the pit of despair. This time, the Count wanted to try an alternate way of using the machine- using it while the subject was asleep. How long would they be able to sleep while being tortured? Who knew? But the Count intended to find out." Randuir is totally dead! He was a Prince's Guard. Drake Marshall has been attacked! He is Mostly Dead. Today's fashion is dramatic detail! The Princess Bride finds much of it's humor in over-the-top names and descriptions! The Pit of Despair! The Cliffs of Insanity! The most passionate kiss in the history of the world! BE DRAMATIC! I look forward to your inventions and humor.
  3. Edgedancers- please refrain from growing forests in the common rooms. Some radiants suffer from allergies, and just because you can heal them doesn’t make it all right.
  4. I’ve had the idea that the shards are remnants of Adonalsiums mind for a while, and then being a cognitive shadow is a much more concise way of saying that. Pieces of the shadow. Not the mind itself, which is dead.
  5. Windrunners- please refrain from eating on the ceiling of the cafeteria. Inevitably food ends up landing on someone’s head, and we have received numerous complaints.
  6. A giant will not go mostly dead, because that would be a kill, and the giant is invincible to that.
  7. Night Five: Redemption "Captain Grumbleton had done many things in his life. But the past week had been truly harrowing. Trying to prevent your fellow pirates from outright killing you when you were found with the empty barrel of the best beer in the castle, is really hard. But, Grumbleton had been successful in preventing them in killing him, despite all odds. Until, he found another barrel in the kitchen." "It was good stuff. A perfect balance of sweet and bitter, fermented in the finest vats in Florin. It was royal quality. The last barrel had been quite delicious. And no, he did not want to share. He glanced around, and began to pour himself a large mug full. This would be a good night. He only wished his wife was still alive. Which, admittedly, was part of why he liked this stuff so much. He wasn't sure it should actually be called beer, because it was quite a bit stronger than normal beer. Beer, wine, hard drink, he didn't really care. He refilled his cup multiple times, enjoying the warmth through his body, his mind fuzzing over." "Of course, it was then that some other hungry pirates came into the room. Their vengeance was swift upon Grumbleton. However, he was drunk, and laughed at the sword that then protruded out of his chest. 'It's a stick!' He shouted. The angry mob of pirates stabbed him again, and then began to argue between themselves on how to distribute the liquor Grumbleton had been trying to keep to himself." "What a way to go," Alvron said cheerfully, grabbing his plush cobra. "At least he didn't have to deal with the hangover the next day." "Yeah," Grandpa Steel said ruefully. "And neither did Cummerbund. He died in the pit of despair quite quickly. But, his death allowed the Count to write an entire chapter of his book, specifically about how old people experience pain." Rand (7) Fifth, Headshot, Mr. Doc, Rath, Straw, Drake, Sart Straw (2): Rand, Jon Walin (1): Elandera Randuir has been lynched! He is Mostly Dead. Bugsy is totally dead! He was a Pirate with a Dagger. The activity seems to be up, and I appreciate it. Please keep it up, and make PMs and all that. Make sure to follow the rules on PM making.
  8. I would quit SA. So, no. Taln will not become Odium’s champion.
  9. Um, he used tension on the walls. Stonewards have Cohesion and Tension. Taln is the stoneward herald ()
  10. Yeah, but why? Yup, those are them, with no canon name as of yet.
  11. I was re listening to WoR, and the way Kaladin describes Hoid telling the Fleet story struck me as odd. He describes it as extra hands playing, and that it didn't sound possible for so much music to come out of it. Plus, Hoid looks at the guitar fondly after he finishes. Both, are odd. Clearly, we know Hoid has breath. He knows how to awaken stuff. It seems pretty likely that he decided to awaken his guitar to make it make cooler music.
  12. Day Five: Putrescence "Reginald Canuk had to take a break from patrolling the castle for the enemy. One could only go so long without finding the garderobe. So, Reginald left his group and found it, which stuck out from the wall of the castle." "Grandpa... first you have graphic violence... now the characters have to go? This is a very odd story." "Alvron, those stories you read are entirely unrealistic. Everyone has to use the crapper. It's just a fact of life. And pirates, as disgusting as they might be, have to do it too." "Fine, just wrap this up quick. It's nasty." Grandpa Steel cleared his throat, and then continued. "Canuk did his business, and went to pull his trousers up. But he stepped in something as he stood up." "EW! Grandpa!" "I haven't even said what it is yet! He steeped in something wet, and slightly sticky- blood. Somebody had tried to stuff the body of Asu Wish down the garderobe hole. Hardly daring to look, Reginald backed up to the door of the garderobe, trying to get a look without being too close. His eyes bulged, and he ran, yanking his trousers up." Grandpa Steel glanced at Alvron, who was looking a little green. "War isn't pretty." Alvron said nothing. "'REFUSE! SLIME! RUBBISH! MUCK! PUTRESCENCE!' Reginald screamed as he ran down the stone corridors towards his squad. They looked at him in utter confusion. Canuk's chest heaved, and he gasped out, 'there was a body,' he rasped in another breath, 'in the hole of the garderobe.'" "'Yikes,' said Exetes, another member of the squad. 'That sounds nasty. No wonder you were screaming about putrescence and refuse.' But Reginald shook his head violently. "NO. Along with the body, there was a guard coat stuffed in. Someone tried to cover up him being a Guard. He was slime all along.'" ___ "In another part of the castle, an old pirate walked with another old pirate. Cummerbund had once been Roberts. The glory days. He had been called in by the most recent Roberts to help out. But, he was old, and his friend, Mark, hadn't been saying much. Mark was shivering from the cold draftiness of the castle, and so Cummerbund was trying to warm him up so he would say something more. Out of the corner of his eye, he noticed one of the rooms had a fire in it. Perfect! He helped Mark in, and they sat on chairs close to the fire, enjoying the warmth. 'So, Mark. You want to say anything? Does being warmer help?' Mark, for his part, said nothing. Cummerbund sighed, and looked into the crackling fire. Who had set that up, anyway? The pirates and guards had been skirmishing in this castle for days now. Who had time to set up a fire, that looked relatively new? He was contemplating that fact when he heard a crack as his friend Mark was pushed into the fire. Mark made no noise as he began to burn. Cummerbund began to run to him, but was winded as someone punched him in the gut. 'I haven't had the opportunity to use my machine on an old man yet. What does sucking the life away do, when there isn't much left? How much pain can you really feel?' Cummerbund was whacked on the head again, and dragged away. Meanwhile, Mark hardly moved. Something inside of him had broken at this. But then, he looked at the flames. He was... burning. What a stupid way to die. Flesh seared, he pulled himself out. But he felt different. The fire had burnt something away, a fear. He was no longer mark. Burnt was her name now. And despite her skin screaming at her in pain, she ran to go try and rescue her friend." Bort is totally dead! He was a Prince's Guard. Bugsy has been attacked! He is Mostly Dead. Mark IV has been pinch hitted. Give it up for Burnt Spaghetti, who will (hopefully) stick around! Today's fashion is synonyms! Creative use of repeated synonyms will be rewarded. A continued plea to remain active, please.
  13. Night Four: Unemployed in the Fire Swamp?! "Many of the pirates still sat around, uncommunicative. But some had decided that they would no longer be pirates! They decided to head out of the castle, and leave the life of pirating behind them. Which, frankly, wasn't saying much, as they were some of the newest of the crew." "Unfortunately for THEM, a guard patrol noticed them leaving the castle, and pursued them! The small group was chased right into- the FIRE SWAMP!!!" Alvron gasped. "Oh no!" "Oh YES!" Grandpa Steel shouted animatedly. "They peered in terror out of the forest, but the guard would pursue them no further. Not they needed to, because the fire swamp would take care of them." "I guess it serves them right for leaving the castle," Alvron mused. The aged narrator glared. "I haven't killed them off yet. In fact, most of them didn't even die. They came out terrified, having left one of their number dead in the swamp. But the two who survived, came out changed people. No more were they cowardly. They were burnt, bitten, and sandy. They had seen the face of death in that swamp itself, and had shoved a stick into its eye socket." "And so, those two came back to the castle, no more- hopefully- to shirk their duty." --- "The pirates were still sitting around, hardly doing anything. But as the sun began to set, a deep terror began to set into their hearts. They had realized that the Guards were picking them off one by one. And so, in a panic, they began throwing accusations around. Men changed suspicions on a whim, and the moments of dusk finally revealed the feral nature of the pirates when put in a stressful situation. Rath picked up Indigo's totally dead body, shouting at Rob Indie Banks, shoving the rotting corpse in his face- which of course he did not appreciate. They almost ended up making the suspects drink poison again, but finally at the last moment, one more person spoke up. An old pirate, Grandpa Lace. 'Asu Wish is clearly the evil one,' he rasped, waving his crooked sword to the right of where Asu Wish stood. Regardless of Lace's depth perception, the rest of the pirate crew switched from 3 targets to one." "Aw," Alvron sulked. "A 3 way tie would have been cool!" Grandpa Steel nodded. "Those old men, so odd, right? So, they all pounced on Asu Wish, bashing him with whatever they could get their hands on- including pieces of Indigo." "Ew, Grandpa. I know this has turned into a full fledged tragedy, but we don't need to turn it graphic, right?!" "They're pirates, not noblemen. Of course they get a bit graphic." Alvron sighed exaggeratedly. "Incon-CEIVABLE." Cadmium Compounder is totally dead! They were a Pirate with a Parrot. Rebecca has died from inactivity! They were a Pirate. Coop772 and Elephant Earwax have been replaced by Elandera and Manukos respectively! Give it up for pinch hitters! Bort has been lynched! They are Mostly Dead. Bort (3): Dalinar Kholin, Drake Marshall, Sart Sart (2): Mr Doctor, Snipexe Doc12 (1): Bort randuir (2): Fifth Scholar, Randuir A plea from your GM- please be active, to the best of your ability. It makes me sad to kill people off from inactivity, and it makes Alvron bored, and he's hard to manage when he gets bored.
  14. Eh, that cannot be true. Without Honor, he wouldn't really have investiture. I don't think its so much like a direct thing that Honor did, but more just a general side effect of becoming closer TO Honor, and therefore the spiritual realm.
  15. Oh no, yeah he's dead. But, there might be remnants of him in the spiritual realm.
  16. @Rebecca @Coop772 @ElephantEarwax I'll be leaving for work soon, so this is my final inactivity warning to you.
