  1. Araris was more of a whim kill for me, Alvron. Araris has always been the kind of person who very much flies under the radar. At that point in the game I didn't really have very many strong suspicions so I started looking to kill inactives and people who are impossible to read, such as you, Devotary, and Araris. I didn't have any solid evidence on him, I just kind of killed him. A great deal of luck was exercised this game. (Also, pss pss this game should end either way right before mine starts so feel free to sign up).
  2. Goodness gracious how did you get that much analysis out of like 2 sentences worth of rules. I know its actually just strategy, but still.
  3. pff I can sneeze out a rule set more complex than this one. Even for a QF. Fortunately I don't want my money back, I'm fine with it being simple. Since I'm about to start GMing, complexity is not something I want.
  4. Oh hi, I forgot about this game. I should probably read the rules. Oh, wow, the rules for this one are really simple. Seems easy enough. Small player list too. I'd guess, maybe what, 3 elims? Let's go ahead and vote Liranil to get some discussion started.
  5. That's what we have Waffles for! We're pretty much guaranteed the win, no matter what.
  6. Alright so here's the deal. Time to come completely clean. I'm Link, and Alvron is probably the last elim. He's definitely evil, and I'm pretty sure he's the last one, if I'm wrong about that the last is probably Mist and I'll kill her during the night turn. My reasoning as of such is this. I'm Link. Quillin is definitely a village postman. Mist is probably not evil because the previous player was inactive when a kill happened, iirc. Waffles didn't murder me last night, meaning she's definitely a village knight. That leaves Alvron. That was solidified when he made his last post last night, so he's definitely evil. Now that I can finally get this off my chest, I can finally release some of the stress that I've been holding all game. Honestly it was kind of annoying, and stressful getting such an important role right off the bat returning to SE, and that kind of kept me from, idk, being myself, cuz I was hyper nervous about everything. All things considered, I didn't do a terrible job this game. I hit quite a few elims, although not all the kills you guys ascribed to Link were actually me. I also pulled a few massive dumb dumbs this game. I was the one who killed TJ, unfortunately. That, was not exactly my best moment. I thought TJ was evil based on his interactions with Drake and Illwei, so I killed him. And goodness gracious I was wrong. I was also really dumb in the fact that I didn't grab a durian while I had the chance. I decided to grab a banana because, well... I thought it was funny? I don't know. And then Beedle got killed off and it was too late, so that hasn't exactly been reassuring all game. My favorite kill this game was probably Kayla. I killed her for a particular post, which was a nice post where she said "Oh everyone has been so helpful." When I first read it I was like, "aww" but then I was thinking about it and thought to myself, who has been helpful to her? Nobody was talking to her in thread, really. So it had to be PMs, or... an elim doc? So I killed her and I was right! I've also kept pretty much all of my analysis off-thread for that very reason, because my suspicions were the people I killed, and I didn't want to be identified based on that. That's the same reason I didn't kill Drake, because I was already suspicious of him in-thread so I let him get lynched instead. One other note. I was not the one who killed Purple, that must have been a redirection off of waffles. Honestly I just forgot to put in a kill that night. Very awkward. I was still a bit hesitant at the time about the knight, because (what if it's a 5 head thing to fool me? Or just a massive miscommunication?), so I didn't hard clear the knight for it but I figured they were probably village. I've been wrong more than once this game, so that's why I still voted on Waffles. Also, in regards to the PM thing. I did kill off a few of my own PM partners, but Alvron dangit I want an explanation for why literally everyone I had a PM with just died! Although, I expect you'll probably double down on your Link claim to confuse the village. Yeah, that's about it for the moment.
  7. I... I'm not Urbosa. Nor am I evil. By my calculations, you might be evil though. But we can discuss that further at length here in a bit.
  8. This makes me laugh so much. I love this community.
  9. Hm. If Quillin isn't in danger of being lynched I don't really feel like keeping my vote on waffles. I would return my vote to Ashbringer, but Devotary is my other big suspect at the moment. Unfortunately at this point in the game the unreadable come off more as suspicious to me than trustable, a result of being burned once too many times as a result of ignoring those who don't leave a specific impression in thread. Plus, if waffles IS village, having her around seems like a good idea. Plus, what's an elim knight going to protect at this point? Also, I'd love for the other postman to reach out to me.
  10. sorry, that was me, I forgot to retract my vote. ashbringer, if it makes you feel better. Now stop ninjaing me
  11. Quick vote count Waffles(3): Quillin, Mist, Steel Quillin(1): Ash Devotary(2): Alvron, Waffles
  12. Sorry, I feel bad. I just feel like I need to keep the person who is absolutely village alive over the person who's possibly evil, you know?
  13. Yes, I can confirm, and I can also confirm she opened it herself. That's why I trust her. Waffles, I instantly like you as a person, but in the current game state claiming as knight is dangerous. Plus, I 100% trust Quillin. Therefore, in order to protect Quillin I'm going to vote Waffles.
  14. Yeah, with no way to prove that, it could be them trying to pocket you. That's happened to me in the past *sighs in AG4*. There WOULD be something to be said if, we could confirm that the elim kill happened on the same night as a confirmed redirect tonight or something. Then the knight would be cleared. I can't think of a way to necessarily confirm they're evil. So in my opinion, this subject isn't really going to get us anywhere as long as we can't prove things either way. (Because it's the day turn). After rereading some stuff, I'm still suspicious of Ashbringer so I'm leaving my vote there. I have other suspicions, which I'll probably confide in Quillin, since I trust her.
  15. As of right now, we currently have 15 players. I'd like the game to have at least 20 players, but at this rate it doesn't seem like that should be too much of an issue. Anyway, 15 players means there's only 15 spots left. Make sure you sign up (not in thread, of course) before the rest of the spots get snatched up! I will probably say something again when we hit 20 and 25, just so people are aware. Signups will still close on Monday.
  16. Alright. Ashbringer at this point anyone withholding information who's not Link is highly suspicious to me. We need to be fully open with each other to do this. By my mental math, at this point, I am pretty much the last roleless person. There might be one other. I have one banana. What the heck! the elim killed my PM again! Actually so did Link. Why does everyone I have a PM end up getting murdered by someone? It's very annoying. I didn't even get the chance to talk to Szeth before he got offed.
  17. Reserved for rule clarifications and the like. If needed, I will add an activity filter, but I'm hoping I won't need one. ALSO DON'T SIGN UP IN THREAD. I will also make a spec doc for those who desire that. I just thought of a rule clarification. When a person dies, their unused gemstones will return to the village pile. Elim unused gemstones will return to their stash. It's time for another rule clarification. In the rules, I say villagers get priority over elims for getting gems. This is not an absolute thing, I was working out the details yesterday. Essentially villagers get a higher percent chance of getting a gem than an elim does. I have yet to 100% settle on what that percentage is, but it is higher than what an elim gets. Meanwhile, a roleless person gets absolute priority before people with roles. Hope that makes sense.
  18. LG79/AN10: The Rhythm of Freedom The Rosharian sun set on the horizon, and the first moon was about to rise. Thane hummed to the rhythm of determination as he worked the soil. He had been assigned by the Fused to make food for the army. Thane was okay with that, as he didn't necessarily want to be fighting the Heralds and Knights Radiant. They scared him. But so did the Fused. Thane wiped his brow and looked up as the stars began to come out. It would be time to meet with the others here in a few minutes. --- "We must escape Odium," Pavli whispered fiercly to the Rhythm of Hope. "Only if we run, and abandon our forms, can we escape him and his Fused. I want freedom, like the humans have. Some humans choose to follow Honor, and some choose to follow Odium. Why are we enslaved to Odium, and our ancestors?" Balik sang the rhythm of Anxiety. "They will hunt us down, and kill us. They will not let us go. How can we escape without them knowing?" Thane watched the others argue. They had started meeting a few months ago, and they were of the same mind. They needed to escape Odium. He was one of the farmers, but several others here were actively fighting. The main fighting had moved away from here in Valhav over more towards Alethela, but that didn't change that there was a chance of the humans attacking any time. They had realized that the Fused and Odium would see them all dead in the effort to destroy the humans. And this group had decided not to put up with it anymore. "We can go to Natanatan. It will be far away from the fighting, far away from Odium. But we will need to leave behind our forms, and run" Thane offered to the group. "How will we get there," asked a femalen near him. Pavli sang to Consideration. "There is a mountain pass nearby. We can cross through there, then walk through Alethela. We will need food and water." Moirin, the eldest of the group hadn't said anything so far, but now stood up. Everyone stopped talking. She was the defacto leader of this small group of rebels. Yes, Thane thought, we are rebels aren't we? Fighting against Odium. Fleeing from their gods. "We've been discussing leaving for all this time. It is only a matter of time before the Fused find out. We must leave now. Gather your things. Get provisions from the fields. And grab some gemstones in case we need forms. We will all enter dullform to cut Odium off from our gemhearts." Moirin sung the Rhythm of Longing. "If we escape, we can live our lives like the humans do. Free to choose what we want." And just like that, it was decided. The group dispersed to go and gather the needed supplies. They would leave that night, before the third moon set. --- Abaram sat in a small hut, thinking to herself. The insanity was close at hand, but she managed to keep it away. If she died again, she would probably lose whatever thought she still had. She started as a knock sounded on the door. Her spy entered, solidifying from the Smokeform he had just been. "They are leaving tonight, my lady," he said to the Rhythm of Subservience. "Shall we destroy them all?" She had known that some of the singers in the village wanted to leave, escape from their lives. She had hoped they would give up, but it seemed they were determined. "No, we will not," Abaram said to the Rhythm of Command. She smiled. "We will join them." The malen appeared suitably confused, so Abaram elaborated. "I am Mavset-Im. Gather a few of my servants. We will join them, and attempt to cajole them into returning. And if they will not, then we will destroy them from within. They will realize there is no escape from Odium." The malen's eyes widened at the audacious plan. He rushed out to go gather a few individuals. Abaram sat back down, and sighed. Hopefully this would entertain her for a bit. Fighting the Heralds was tiring. --- Welcome to Rhythm of Freedom, the first Singer game! This is an anonymous game, so DO NOT SIGN UP IN THREAD. Just throw me a PM that you want to sign up. Please have fun as well! Rules are below. Basic rules. Quick Links Player List Player count: 18/30
  19. Well that clears, literally nothing up. I'll do my reread of the thread after I get some family stuff done and get the signups for the next game up.
  20. Coming up...today probably. Also I'd like to sign up for an LG slot. Given how long the signup is I'll have lots of time to plan...
  21. Sounds good. I was originally going to do a full reread of thread and vote but then I slept in and now my family wants me to do stuff and there 5 minutes before rollover so I'm just... Gonna do it later.
  22. Huh, then that means there's definitely another Postman. Who's given me 3 PMs so far
  23. Whew I slept in way too long I was worried the day turn would have ended. @quillinthestars did you open any of my PMs?
  24. I'm currently waiting for my final draft of my rules to be approved, but am planning on running my game after that. Also I could use an IM.
  25. Oh, storm you whoever decided to kill Szeth. I wanted to chat with him in the PM I got with him. I guess this means there's just one more, huh? Gosh, I think Link has had a pretty much perfect run. I don't think I've ever seen such an effective vigilante.
