Mid-Range Game 51: Come On Down To Irontown
Steeldancer replied to Kasimir's topic in Sanderson Elimination
I've decided to run with a theme for my playstyle this game. Came up with it on a whim. So I'll continue to drum up support for my eventual election! (I'm rather disappointed with the lack of discussion that my posts were supposed to inspire)- 608 replies

Long Game 78: The Legend of Zelda: The False Heroes
Steeldancer replied to Biplet's topic in Sanderson Elimination
Welcome to the game! I have no idea why Jondesu actually thinks I'm a teammate with Mat. Why would I have been asking for a PM with mat this whole time if I had a doc to speak together in? I guess I could have been lying. But, uh, I wasn't. As for Illwei, I guess from the paranoid angle you could read my posts as very subtle distancing. Or you know, just genuinely being baffled by meeting the sheer chaos that was Illwei for the first time, and having a strong reaction to it. Drake, I have no clue. Havent really read his posts too deeply, besides the fact that he voted on me for some of my comments. I'm going to bed now, but tomorrows my last day before I head to Hawaii so I'm gonna try and do a full reread of the thread up to this point then. -
Mid-Range Game 51: Come On Down To Irontown

Campaign speech day one (in fitting of the budding politician I'm aspiring to be, I'm going to give a campaign speech on something I'm passionate about each day until I get voted as Representative). Hello my fellow workers! Thank you for showing up and listening or reading about me. You may have heard of me, Steel, before. I've been working in this factory for 10 years now. Nowadays I have a wife and two kids named Iron and Carbon, with a third on the way. I work here so I can support them. I imagine many of you have families of your own as well, and that's why you're working here. When I first started working, it wasn't so bad. The hours weren't bad, but the pay was similar. But they weren't too stingy, and I still had time to make a family. But now the factories are dying here, and in an effort to reproduce the profit they had before, theyve started working us to the bone. When they first started it, I told my wife it would probably be a temporary thing until they got back on their feet. That was a year ago now. Since then, I've hardly seen my wife at all, and I was told just the other day that I cant take off a month from now when my kid is due! Is that fair? No, not at all! And I'm sure many of you have had similar experiences. This is abuse, plain and simple. These nobles don't care about our livelihood at all these days, but rather how many boxings they can stuff in their pockets. Now I'm no Survivor, I dont necessarily want to overthrow the nobility. But what I do want is right and just treatment! So I came up with what I call the "Fair Steel Deal," which we can all sign to show that we want better pay, more stable working hours, breaks, and a promise that we can spend time at home when we need to. Isn't that something we all want? I think so! So RISE UP! LET US TAKE BACK THE FREEDOM THAT SHOULD BE OURS!- 608 replies

Mid-Range Game 51: Come On Down To Irontown
Steeldancer replied to Kasimir's topic in Sanderson Elimination
I'm looking for a sponsor for my campaign. As a factory worker trying to get into the politician side of things, in order to beat out nobles I need good sponsors. And I've always been a proponent of RNG, and would be pleased to be sponsored by you. @Tani ah, I see you're a swing vote. I'll be happy to campaign even more in your department.- 608 replies

Mid-Range Game 51: Come On Down To Irontown
Steeldancer replied to Kasimir's topic in Sanderson Elimination
Me and Fifth go wayyy back. I would never want an old friend to end up cleaning bathrooms now would I? Never, and of course I would put him into a postition of authority that he totally qualifies for, because that's how I work. (I see I'm going to have a great deal of fun)- 608 replies

Mid-Range Game 51: Come On Down To Irontown
Steeldancer replied to Kasimir's topic in Sanderson Elimination
I am a clear, excellent, non-corrupt person that you should definitely vote for. When you vote for me, I'll make sure that the factory sees increased pay, better work hours, more breaks, better safety, and a bathroom that is actually regularly cleaned. Those who don't vote for me will be the ones cleaning said bathroom. This is what I call the Fair Steel Deal. Vote for Steel today! Endorsed by the Steel Worker Leader office.- 608 replies

Steeldancer replied to Biplet's topic in Sanderson Elimination
Thanks for the analysis archer, that's really helpful because I was going to look through Illwei's posts today, and now I don't need to. I thought I explained why I kept my vote on her though, she was being confusing, even if that wasn't indicative of evil behavior, and I was objecting to that through my vote. Once I saw her putting some thought into things (and conversely making me think) I took my vote off of her, and then voted Kasimir, someone who I thought (at the time, according to my gut) to actually be evil. I'll accept that it was a bit odd if you're looking at just the votes, but I gave all my context for my choices in thread. -

Fair enough, fair enough. I was feeling a bit annoyed about the whole "let's clear the whole village" thing. I guess I can find fun in finding the eliminators before the scan gets to them. Then I can gloat and say "I was right all along," which is always a great feeling. I suddenly found motivation again. -

You should probably take care of yourself more. Getting a good breakfast, in the morning, is a huge part of making sure you're energetic throughout the day. Although... you seem to be plenty energetic despite your (hopefully) impending death. -

Steeldancer replied to Biplet's topic in Sanderson Elimination
From what I understand, it sounds like a village trust group will start forming through PMs. Link will most likely kill illwei tonight. I would like to say, personally, I'm not a huge fan of relying on scanners and trust groups. I know its optimal for solving games... but it kind of takes the fun out of it for me. What's the point in solving if a well protected zelda can just scan and then report in their PMs about it? Granted, Dannex got insanely lucky. That's the only guaranteed elim role in the game, and it got ousted day one. Doesn't change the fact that I object to it on a "fun over optimal play" kind of level, though. -
Long Game 78: The Legend of Zelda: The False Heroes
Steeldancer replied to Biplet's topic in Sanderson Elimination
My paranoid self first doubts this claim, but thinking about this, this would be a crazy play to pull. And it would just get Dannex killed during the day if Illwei isn't Kohga... so I'll assume this is accurate, and that Dannex is cleared. It feels a bit cheap though. Sucks that Illwei has chosen to murder beedle. I may never get the bananas I so desired. I guess with that in mind I can go back and reread... I just gave my thought some thought. Do I really want to go back and try and analyze Illwei when I literally voted on them for being confusing? I guess I'll do it anyway *sigh* -

@KasimirI just reread the thread, because I wasn't on for rollover. So do I understand correctly that you role claimed because you felt threatened by the fact that you were second in the lead? Because (if you're not lying, and you said you could prove it) it just feels very rash for day one. -
Long Game 78: The Legend of Zelda: The False Heroes
Steeldancer replied to Biplet's topic in Sanderson Elimination
Either you're lying about beedle... or my gut was wrong again. Either way I'm left more confused. Do we have any Beedle counterclaims? Granted I'm not about to believe that being Beedle necessarily makes you hard cleared either, not in my eyes. I also have a question about something someone said about me, that I'm defusing suspicions in a wolfy way. What... exactly is that supposed to mean? Are you saying I'm carefully constructing posts that will shake off suspicion like a duck shakes off water? Because, uh, I'm not much of a schemer tbh. Most of my posts are off the cuff, unplanned, and the few that are planned tend to be either RP or analysis. You can see that many of my posts are brainstorming which is why I sometimes repeat known info. And I'll point out, if I had a document to plan in, a lot of my rambling would end up in said elimnator document. And I mean yeah, I could be lying and my playstyle could have changed, but I'm starting to feel like I'm back in a groove versus 2 days ago, and I've always played off the cuff. For now, Kasimir, despite my hesitations, it does feel like your probably are Beedle. So I'll put you on my TBD list, a list of which I'm suspicious but I'll put on hold for now. And yes, I really want a PM with Matrims dice so please postman arrange for that. -

Steeldancer replied to Biplet's topic in Sanderson Elimination
Goodness gracious you guys post a lot. My opinions on stuff havent really changed, even after sleeping on it, so I'm going to sit on my gut read of Kasimir being evil and see where it goes. As for the general suspicious read of me, I dont really have much to say about that either. Once upon a time, I might have complained about people thinking I'm evil more, but nowadays I'm more... laid back. So I'll just keep playing (and rambling, apparently) and let you guys form whatever opinion you like about me. ALSO I STILL WANT A PM WITH MATRIM DANGIT. Although I suspect at this point i wont get one until later. This brings me back to my old philosophical musings upon how to find elims... I never found a tried and true method in my 2 years of playing before my mission. And honestly, there were certain players who were pure genius at sounding completely villager in thread. None of the ones I knew back then are in this game, but I dont know who of the newer players to consider dangerous. I was never one of the best because my playstyle always fluctuated. Hyper active sometimes, completely disinterested other times... and I started rambling again. I'm a ramble-prone person I guess. You guys just get the brunt of it haha. This will probably be my last post of the turn. I'll see you guys in the night turn. -

Steeldancer replied to Biplet's topic in Sanderson Elimination
Thank you! My brother redesigned it for me. (A little background. A Steeldancer is a Steel compounding edgedancer, the fastest magical combination currently available in the cosmere. So my new symbol is the edgedancer symbol decorated with feruchemical steel symbols, and little lightning bolts at the top. I also got a shirt with it on it, and I love it) As for your vote on me... Linebeck heard someone shouting at him. They wanted his pot! NEVER WOULD HE GIVE HIS POT UP! He brandished the pot as a weapon in defense of his life! Now that I'm back, I'm going to flex my old, old analysis muscles and get some reads. I'll vote after I do that. I don't usually like editing in votes, but nobody is posting, so I'll just say my thoughts. I read through the entire thread and in terms of analysis, well I took some notes on the kind of things people said. My main problem here, is I don't really know anyone's playstyle, so I can't judge on that. Even the old people I used to play with seem to have fairly different playstyles from what I remember, so I'm not counting that either. So that leaves my favorite thing! My GUT! My gut has 3 things to say. I'm 90% sure Matrim is villager. I'd like a PM with them please. Illwei is confusing. But I already said that. And my gut started taking offense to Kasimir. I don't really have a concrete reason for this vote that I can point out, but well... my gut said so. So I'll trust it for now. It's been wrong many times in the past, but who knows, maybe it got more accurate with all the eating I've done. -

You say im stiff, huh. Might be the most helpful thing I've seen in the last 2 days from you, Illwei. I do feel like I forcing thoughts out, theres no flow as of yet. I'm still trying to figure out... how to do this again. I have no idea how I used to say things, and I've changed since then anyway. I feel like a pianist that's trying to relearn a song I memorized a long time ago but havent played in a while. Gimme a few irl days to figure out my playstyle again. Most likely what I'll need to do is a dedicated analysis or something, because atm I'm not feeling overly invested in the game yet. No hook, you know? Once I find a hook of some sort I should be able to find my voice again. For your actually helpful analysis, I'll take off my vote from illwei . I still think your chaotic nature is... overwhelming, but for now it should be fine. I have to get going, so if the turn hasn't ended by the time I get back I'll drop a vote on someone. -

Leinbeck was very sure they were all eyeing his precious pot. He wasn't sure what was in it, but he wasn't about to give it to someone else. It didn't look like anyone else had any pots, so he would hold onto his pot no matter what. After all, he, Linebeck, was going to be the hero! Just like always. -

As a member of said village, all I get out of it is confusion. Thus my objection to it. Granted, it doesn't help the elims either, probably. I'd like a PM with someone. I'm lonely. -

So is this mainly normal for them? That's good to hear. I'm still objecting to the utter chaos through my vote, but I guess that's not indicative of suspicious behavior.
