Can I point out I want to see this battle? Badly? Because it would be awesome. And I think something of the sort was promised by WoB

Mid-Range Game 22: My Little Perfidy
Steeldancer replied to Herowannabe's topic in Sanderson Elimination
So because I'm not feeling suspicious of any of the active people right now, are there any inactive people we could lynch? I haven't seen @Quiverat all IIRC. We don't have to do that, just not seeing anyone in particular as being good lynch material.- 628 replies

*dancing to Come and Get Your Love* makes me feel real good! I'll take a moment to thank everyone on this site! I love this site! It's well constructed, with lots of nice people who all love Brandon Sanderson. (If not, then why the heck are you here) thanks guys for creating an inclusive and thoughtful community. Edit: coincidentally this is also my 365th post. A year of posts, for one post a day.

Holy cow I got a little overwhelmed there lol. All good points. It really could be useful for finding those elims. Elims aside, tomorrow is my BIRTHDAY (and Bracken's too) and EVERYONE IS INVITED. To my library- 628 replies

This is an explanation of the 12 cities, possibly my favorite part of my PowerKeeper Universe. It takes place right after the Great Mages have won their final victory over the Enemy. They had won. The Great Mages had won the final battle. But what happens when such power is exposed to the universe? For when they won, they came back to the normal dimension. With such power, they could work something wonderful before they died. Because they HAD to die; such godly power could not exist for long unopposed. So each Mage took his weapon of power and searched for a planet that reflected their element. Eventually, they all found planets rich with their elements. There, they wielded their enormous power and created massive cities. Beautiful cities, created in the fashion of each element. A city of ice, a city of light, a city of glass (which is the city of fire) and a city of trees. They are gems in the universe, the best place for a mage of that element to train and boost their power. After the Great Mages finished creating the cities, they infused nearly all their magic into their city and their Prime Weapon, which was different for each Mage. After the age of the Great Mages, mages slowly became less powerful, as generation after generation went by. To compensate, the best mages began training with the Prime Weapons of the Great Mages. They used the significant fraction of the power of those Mages, and used them to protect the Cities. They formed the Knights of the 12 Cities, and passed the weapons down from mage to mage. A list of the Prime Weapons, by element: Water: a shapeshifting Trident Fire: a double bladed flaming ax Air: a light, thin, hollow, but durable staff Earth: an obsidian hammer Light: magical lightsabers Kinematics: nunchuks Gravity: throwing stars, have small weaponized black holes in the middle of them Space-Time: Gauntlets Life: a Scythe Sorcery: the Crystal Eye of 1000 Faces- an amulet that can expand into a magic-enhancing crystalline armor Quantum: the quantum weapon. Essentially a point of light, that can spit out matter to form different weapons. Can also be used just as the point, as it will cut through everything. Entropy: the swords of Order and Chaos- a pair of swords. The white sword of Order will stay in its form and enhance Ordering spells. The black sword of Chaos constantly is changing forms, and can enhance Chaotic spells. It is also possible to combine the two; however it takes great control to prevent them from exploding. All of the weapons can be used as weapons, or harnessed for their inner energy, or used to focus and direct spells. The greater the understanding of the weapon, the more that can be done with it.

I'm going to play devils advocate. We have no idea what happens in the beyond, do we? And we probably will never find out. So it is POSSIBLE that it might be reincarnation. But it won't be, because Brandon isn't going to go into the Beyond.

Mid-Range Game 22: My Little Perfidy
Steeldancer replied to Herowannabe's topic in Sanderson Elimination
Lol ok bad blood. Bracken and Wormy had finished all the invitations. Bracken waved his horn, sending them all over the village. A cheezit on the front of the envelope, a tasteful invitation to the library... a sign was now up outside. Bracken felt light inside. "This is what life is about. The small moments like this." Bracken walked outside, wormy on his back. The sun was shining. The world looked beautiful. "Could this be another purpose? Admiring the beauty around you?" asked Bracken. Wormy simply smiled. What could possibly go wrong on a day like this? Even marauding Changelings couldn't put a damper on his mood.- 628 replies

And when I read this I thought it said lunch. I must be hungry lol. I agree with your sentiment. Although, frankly, at this point nobody has really been acting all that suspicious. (Of course this is my first game, and I may not recognize suspicious if it slaps me). so idk what to think. The only person I'm getting a definite vibe on is Brightness. She feels very... villagery? I'll reserve judgement for everyone else. Innocent until proven guilty, right? Maybe I'm not being suspicious of Every one enough. But I have to trust SOMEONE.- 628 replies

What about the Emperors soul? Isn't that distinctly korean?

Well then, I'll use this as head canon, and wait for oathbringer when I'm sure someone will swear another oath. And if it is a dramatic decision, then if we get another light show, the theory is proved!

Some new thoughts I had on the scar!
Steeldancer replied to Steeldancer's topic in Cosmere Discussion
Yeah i know. That's one of the major issues with this theory. I still am going to use the idea that the cognitive realm is screwed up around yolen as my head canon, at least until it is disproved by a WoB or something -
[Edgedancer Spoilers] Bridge building

So my thoughts were right! Maybe rlain WILL become a squire and we obviously know eshonai isn't dead. There wasn't a body, therefore she isn't dead. -
I agree! It appears to make sense. Can we compare that with our other characters? To see if maybe they didn't make a giant decision, and so no large light show?

Mid-Range Game 22: My Little Perfidy
Steeldancer replied to Herowannabe's topic in Sanderson Elimination
Bracken sat in the library, continuing to work. He had to finish his work, the sooner the better. What if the changelings came after him before he finished? Or, even worse, if his friends subjected him to that potion from the Zebra? The zebra seriously freaked him out. What was her purpose in life, to live in a creepy tree not full of wonderful books? Friendship. Partying. Perhaps there was something in common there... maybe even with love. Happiness, he realized. Genuine pleasure at enjoying life. Too much of partying and friends can hurt you, but being happy? Nothing can hurt you about that. Now people all find their different ways of being happy, whether through religion or food or even partying. This was an important part of the meaning of life. "Enjoying the journey" he said to Wormy. "Is this the meaning of life?" "Perhaps not all of it. Do not the changelings derive pleasure from the journey of causing us pain?" Wormy retorted. "Indeed," sighed Bracken. He had felt like that wasn't all of it. He could almost... FEEL it, just ever out of reach. He still needed to address some important philosophies that had nothing to do with being happy. And he also needed to address the fact that it was his birthday today. Should he invite someone over? If so, who? There certainly weren't any girl ponies he had been interested in. And he spent so much time in his library. Last night had been the first time he had gotten out in ages. Maybe he needed more happiness. Yes, researching made him happy, but if he could share his goal... ha could invite all the ponies, and get CHEEZITS and other wonderful things from some restaurants... "Wormy, let's make some invitations. For every one. We can bring them to the library. Yes, even Princess Luna! They all deserve a nice party. With some cheezits." Bracken smiled. This did make him happy. All these philosophies did have value. It was just he needed to find the over-arching philosophy of the most value. But it was his birthday. He might as well enjoy it. it actually is my birthday tomorrow, but it is part of the cycle, so I'll do my RP party tomorrow. And if you want to include it in the write up @Herowannabe that would be just fine. Everyone should come! It'll be great! And if it ends up in the write up, I fully accept that there will be changeling shenanigans.- 628 replies
