From where are we seeing the Arcanum Unbounded constellations?
Kered replied to I Am Witless's question in Cosmere Q&A
Solid commitment, haha. Would have be awesome if you actually got a hit on something. Maybe the reason Brandon hasn't confirmed it in Silverlight but called it the best guess is because of the questions any brought up. We'll probably get the answer in the maybe-future Silverlight novella.- 11 replies

Humans pre vs post- Shattering? [Spoilers: AU]
Kered replied to treblkickd's question in Cosmere Q&A
I'm almost certain the second shard to create life was Endowment on Nalthis, but I can't find any sources saying such. I'm scouring the WoB collection right now and will edit if I find something. -
Welcome to the Shard, pal. I follow most subs as well, but I have to say I like the format of 17th better.
-
Ah, I didn't think of that. He was saying there was a notable exception among the individual Shards. Thanks guys!
-
I was re-reading an article on Coppermind when I fell down another WoB rabbit hole and I came across this. Pretty sure it was in a conversation with @Argent BRANDON SANDERSON Most of the bulk of the Shard's energy of being is contained in the Spiritual Realm, yes. [edited for clarity- Original was: Most of the bulk of what the Shard's energy of being is contained on the Spiritual Realm] Except for one notable exception! QUESTION The mistwraith? [I would guess she meant the mist spirit] BRANDON SANDERSON No. Source #47 The one notable exception would be the Shards perpendicularity right?

Since I work Sunday-Thursday and Oathbringer comes out on Tuesday, I'll probably finish around the Friday or Saturday of that week. Like Calderis, I need to pace if I'm going to retain everything.

[OB] I can't think of a title, but SPOILER ALERT
Kered replied to Shadowrunner's topic in Stormlight Archive
I think it was Honor and Cultivation that chose the Heralds then the Heralds(with a big push from Ishar) founded the KR. So it could be logical in saying that the fully sapient Unmade marshaled voidspren to give peeps voidsurging in order to combat the KR. Or the 10 Deaths could be Odiums way of fighting the KR, and the Unmade to fight the Heralds. -
As I understand it Damnation and the Tranquiline Halls are separate places to the Vorin church, the "Voidbringers" just control both now.
-
Also a fact.
-
Sorry guys lol. So we know Damnation, as the people on Roshar(planet) refer to it, is the planet Braize. Has it been confirmed if the Heralds "prison" was in the Cognitive or Physical realm of Braize? I've been looking and haven't found anything that specifically states which one it's located in.
-
You guys are missing the bigger picture and not putting two and two together. Pringles confirmed as the name of the 10th Unmade.

He was unprepared for a bushy beard, I doubt he'll be ready for an Invested one.

[OB] Reviving the Spren without the Radiant
Kered replied to TheOneKEA's topic in Stormlight Archive
"-the cost would be the ends of worlds" This is my first time seeing this interlude piece, and I think that part of the sentence has some serious implications. Anyway, back to the topic at hand lol. As far as repairing a Spiritual Connection, I think the best bet would be either a Lightweaver, Willshaper, or Elsecaller. As that's who we've been told had the most knowledge/power in the Shadesmar. The next obvious step would be being able to interact with the Spiritual side of things. Maybe once Shallan learns another Ideal or gains more experience, she'll "see" the connection between Adolin and his blade as well as the connection between the dead spren and dead radiant and thus be able to heal it an revive the spren? Source: “As to the other orders that were inferior in this visiting of the far realm of spren, the Elsecallers were prodigiously benevolent, allowing others as auxiliary to their visits and interactions; though they did never relinquish their place as prime liaisons with the great ones of the spren; and the Lightweavers and Willshapers both also had an affinity to the same, though neither were true masters of that realm. ” —Words of Radiance, chapter 6, page 2[6] -
Mistborn spoilers?

I think I found the answer just a few chapters later, in a Shallan POV. She's having a conversation with Jasnah about scholars theories on why the Listeners killed Gavilar, and Jasnah says- "“Your tutors were idiots. Youthful immaturity is one of the cosmere’s great catalysts for change, Shallan. Do you realize that the Sunmaker was only seventeen when he began his conquest? Gavarah hadn’t reached her twentieth Weeping when she proposed the theory of the three realms.” Looks like an in world scholar came up with the Three Realm "theory" on their own.
-
Ahh, I skipped over the generation part, I see what you're saying now. Thanks.
-
Thanks for the answers peeps. So it's safe to say that you're saying Adonalsium did not create the first forms of life? Or is it we just don't know enough yet? That's the kind of theme I'm sensing from the WoB's I've been reading since I posted this.

I've been doing one last re-read of SA for Oathbringer and I've gathered some new questions a long the way that I haven't been able to find answers to. I might not have looked hard enough, as I didn't go that deep into Theoryland and Page's collection. Would be super grateful for answers. First one. We know that Hoid was at the Shattering which means he existed when Adonalsium was whatever it was before the Shattering. We also know that Ole' Adonal created the first humans. That being said, has anyone ever asked Brandon directly if Adonal created Hoid and the 16 vessels? I know it's probably a give in and Bradon is pretty tight lipped on things regarding Adonal, but I think it could be a interesting question. Second, other than Szeth's first interlude in WoK, is the Black Sphere he in Jah Khaved ever mentioned again? Third. Was Nohadon a ruler before or after the Herlads were chosen? I've seen a theory that Nohadon might be Jezrein and the Heralds changed there names upon becoming a Herald, the same information that fuels this theory could also be information that leads us to think Nohadon was before the Heralds time. Anyone find any information like that? Four, has the drunk that says (might not be verbatim) "Can you see me?" to Szeth in the WoK prologue been confirmed as a Herald? Five. In WoK, Lirin says something to Kaladin in reference to the old City Lord dying. He says "The Almighty calls all men back to the Spiritual Realm eventually". Where would Lirin hear of the Spiritual Realm? Has it ever been said what religion Lirin followed and why the religion would know of what essentially is a cosmere-aware term? Or am I just dumb and it isn't a cosmer-aware term lol. Sorry for the randomness and number of the questions lol.
-
I thought in the Prelude of WoK it said something along the lines of "regal even though he hadn't worn a crown in centuries" and then in the prelude the Herald(maybe Kelek) talking to Naln says "he carries my lord's blade" which would point to the Honorblade Szeth has which is Jerzien's. Could be wrong though, and it's worded different. But I agree on the SA feel on the first two compared to Vedel and Jerzien. The first two are much more vivid and pop out at you more. They seem more significant and powerful for some reason.

I hope we eventually get art like this for the other 6, would be great updates for Coppermind. Ishar is for sure my favorite, it's just so much more vivid for me compared to the others. Though I do like the mask concept with Ash and the parallel with Shallan's different identities.

What characters would you want to meet each other?
Kered replied to kiapet's question in Cosmere Q&A
I don't know if someone already put this because my phones being weird and not loading the previous posts, but I think Hoid and Mr. T would be a great encounter. Would work best in front of the other Diagram followers. I think it'd be hilarious to watch Hoid scold Mr. T like a child. -
Why did Hoid Seem Surprised when he first met Shallan
Kered replied to JayDeusMortis's question in Cosmere Q&A
The One Who Connects, I'm pretty sure I read through that topic about a week ago. One of the more popular beliefs is that Hoid was expecting a specific person (due to his flat out shock, cus if he was using his "Showing up for something important but not knowing what" power, he shouldn't have been thrown off as something as significant as seeing a Surgebinder again) and seeing Shallan he was thrown off. EDIT: Searching for the topic now. I'll post a link in here when I find it. Had some good information in there.- 9 replies

Thanks for posting this because I just realized the "his head of lines" is referring to a Cyrptic, and the "distant sun, dark and cold, shinning in the black sky" is talking about the Shadesmar. The whole rattle looks like it's talking about spren and the cognitive realm of Roshar. "Healer, why did you take my blood?" Could it be soulcasting? Maybe a Lightweaver, as a Cryptic is standing next to the Healer? But maybe not cus I don't think Lightweavers have been referred to as "healers" before. It's kinda obvious now, I wonder why I didn't catch it on a re-read lol.
