  1. ......I love you. In truth I think they're just alien horses though.
  2. go reread Nale vs Lift man.
  3. Oh my goodnes, why? Why do you believe this?
  4. Smart theory. Personally, I think he will be a Bondsmith though bound to the Stormfather. @17th Splinter: Really? The Diagram is one of the most unique and interesting concepts I've ever seen. You could legit focus an entire series in it. Why would you want it gone? @OP: He basically has the Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde thing going on (you know what I mean) His smart self is a villian. His dumb self is a well intentioned villain.
  5. Should I have known this already? I kinda recall Sansderson indicating that Radiant spren are generally of the opposit sex from the bonded Radiant. I don't think Renarin is homosexual but I'm surprised we got a same sex nahel bond so early. Naturally, Renarin is the one dude whose head we aren't in....
  6. After a reread: The Prologue "To Weep" is still my favorite Oathbringer chapter....however, my new favorite moment is Remain healing Adolin. That was a beautiful scene.
  7. No. Couple of things: Thudes group couldn't travel so quickly. Stormform is not the only form of power for Listeners
  8. OMG! Useless epigraphs! Syls gonna watch Kaladin while he's having sex! SylBlade description! Hilariously useless Azish! Where are you Sigzil, give some tips! Renarin used surges unconsciously and its awesome! Stop with the pointless Truthwatcher theories please!!! Taravangian! Elokhar! Quit being a chump! And take Bridge 4 as your Squad yo! All you need is the Windrunner order! Listener forms of power beyond Stormform! Where's my Eshonai???
  9. Well Dalinar reformed the Knights Radiant and she is a member along with Renarin so.....yeah.
  10. The question is there in the title. Was i the only one who read chapter 8 and thought "this looks like a job for Sigzil!?" Seriously, the dude is a Worldsinger and can speak in detail concerning the customs, policies, and and governing bodies of each major nation. He's also, seemingly, well traveled and could even speak from experience. It seems a waste for him to be searching tunnels.
  11. ....I'm not sure why you're telling me this. You seem to have somehow conflated Makabaki with blacks found on Earth. Makabaki are small and fine boned, not wide featured. >.> Their is a wide featured, afro'd race on Roshar.....but they have blue-ish skin and white hair. Taln is described as being dark skinned like a Makabaki but massive in build. He doesn't appear Alethi at all. I do agree that the small Herald sculpt shouldn't be used as a means of marking their appearances though.
  12. Mraize is not infallible regardless of his collection (if he did collect the samples personally and not just steal or buy them). Hes still an apprentice, remember? By the way, it doesnt seem as if any of the Heralds fit the established races of Roshar. The 2 we've seen
  13. Renarin likely hasn't spoken any oaths....he's been running from his true nature much like young Shallan. Besides, we don't see him enough to know if he had used either of the individual surges in a minor way. Thoughts upon reread: Roshone is really pathetic. Lirin said he had changed but I guess that just means that he is no longer pointlessly cruel? Lara came across as haughty, brusque and unlikable. Kaladin wasn't very likable either. He too was too brusque/impatient and came across as extremely arrogant. Radiant Kaladin has a lot of growing to do. Shallan is a sarcastic little butt wipe. She needs to chill the heck out. Dalinar is still the man. Lirin is still the man. I don't care about the copycat killer.
  14. You're thinking too deeply. Shallan has more truths to speak and Renarin has no blade.
  15. They were the first thing I read actually. All 3 felt utterly useless though.
  16. ^Smart man.
  17. .....I doubt Tezim would be a white guy.
  18. Ah, I thought it was commonly known that humans weren't native to Roshar but that Listeners were. Huh.
  19. Why do you consider this significant?
  20. He's either Ishar or the 2nd Bondsmith.....it is known.
  21. "....the bridgemen—for all their fine qualities—have no experience with this sort of thing." Ha! I love Dalinar. He's so patient with Bridge 4 because he recognizes their potential. I do love Bridge 4. Cannot wait until they quit searching tunnels and actually get involved. It seems like Shallan actually learning their names unlike Dalinar and Adolin who just say 'the herdazian' or 'the small azish.' It's a shame though that Dalinar doesn't have easy access to an Azish Worldsinger to use when formulating his plans....
  22. Cool username. I'm more for Amaram with the Stonewardens myself (dependable and resourceful). From the descriptions, Dustbringers seem a bit wild and really hot blooded....which I don't see Amaram as. Elokhar? That's a much better fit. Keep in mind though, we're totally getting multiple members of the same order though. Sanderson even confirmed that we will get to see another Windrunner speak oaths (how cool is that?). Moash and Elokhar forced to join forces again as members of the same order? That could be interedting. Btw, Moash will be getting chapters so here's me hoping you come around on him once he is brought into the forefront!
  23. Yes it does; it's why Szeth has to get creative when fighting opponents wearing Plate since he cannot just directly lash them. You would have to get really crafty to use soulcasting in a fight (such as casting the ground into smoke) and even then it would burn a ton of stormlight and isn't directly very harmful. Users of gravitation can still lash debri and the like directly at you and attack from odd angles though. Users of abrasion could up their mobility and style all over you in a physical fight. As for progression, we don't really know. It seems like it just lets you grant stormlight healing to others though I'm sure there's more to it.
  24. Ha! I honestly didn't notice that lone vote. Soulcasting is powerful....but can you easily soulcast invested things (Blades, Plate, Radiants)? That would be the downside if Jasnah has to fight another surgebinder such as Szeth and why I dontrate them as highly in the combat power scale. Soulcasting also seems to burn a lot of Stormlight.
  25. These don't really match up for me....but I get your point. Anywhos, Moash is still my vote for Dustbringer. So far, his arc has been about seeking power to fight injustice....but then obtaining inordinate power and failing to use it appropriately. He has had time to get the attention of spren and has likely been broken enough to become a surge binder. The Dustbringer surges would fit with the obtaining inordinate amounts of power arc. He's got the brave part down and the obedience oaths would teach him to chill with the selfish underhanded schemes and accept the wisdom of others.
