  1. Shae snorted at the lick, then hesitated. "You... did?" He was twenty now, if that was the case... That made him feel old. His dad would be forty.
  2. ^I agree with this. Including the bit about Zinc. They'd make an awesome god. ^Could we mix you and steel's ideas?
  3. Shae smiled, leaning up to kiss him once he was close enough. "Very." He hadn't been outside, so he didn't know if the leaves head changed today or not. He hadn't seen any yesterday, none that were fully yellow or some other color, at least. A few had been close, though.
  4. He chuckled, turning the carving to show him. "A carving of Rei and Nora. A romance piece, if you will. I just need to lacquer it now, and it'll be done. Go clean your mouth so I can kiss you without tasting blood, okay?"
  5. One in one hundred sounds like a decent rarity.
  6. Shae smiled, rolling his eyes as he kept working. "Productive. I managed to all but finish this piece. Once I'm done, I'm free till tomorrow." He smiled.
  7. Shae hummed, looking up at him. "Hey Dan. How has your day been?" He smiled.
  8. About a month later Shae sighed, getting out of bed and bathing before getting dressed. He hadn't slept with Dan last night, and he felt the difference. Dam relaxed him- he was like a dog, comforting him and making him happy. He stretched, then headed straight for the classroom. He didn't have classes today, but he did have one project he was almost finished with.
  9. He smiled, hugging him and staying close as he fell asleep, feeling less confused about life than he had in a long time.
  10. He bit his lip, chuckling slightly as Dan licked him. "Giant puppy... sure... I'm feeling pretty exhausted..." He hummed, laying down facing Dan.
  11. He blinked, staring. "I... I didn't even think..." He looked down, trembling slightly as he thought about that. He could've gone home all this time, could've found his parents. Only... he looked back up at Dan, tears in his eyes. He just looked at him, then hugged him, starting to cry. "I'm all grown up...I couldn't just appear again. They must think I'm dead, and... I don't even know if my mom is still alive. I have a life here now... I can't leave... even if I want too so badly... I can't leave you..." It hurt to say the facts out loud, but it helped him let go. It helped him move on. He neededto cry, though, so he just held on to Dan and cried for a while, aching for a home he could only barely remember, and parents he couldn't even remember the faces of.
  12. Shae froze, then looked up so fast it was a shock he didn't break something, and began staring at him. "I... I could... what?" His eyes were wide, and he looked... partly confused, partly scared, and mostly nervous.
  13. He blinked, looking at him, feeling... oddly jealous. "It's alright... I haven't seen my parents since I was nine... at least you grew up with them. I miss mine." He thought about that, the memories that had blurred too much to really remember more than colors. He smiled then. "But hey, if I'm with you, I doubt that I'll be thinking about that very much. You're too distracting." He chuckled.
  14. Shae blushed deeply, eyes shaking down to his lap. "Oh... Okay. That's... interesting..." He didn't know how else to describe it. And he had no idea how to control the weird sense of nervousness that was left fluttering in his stomach. He'd been taught that by his mother who had shown him. He didn't know how to feel about that.
  15. He blushed. "Y-yeah... got it..." He looked down, thinking. "Um... you... how much do you know?" He looked up at him, biting his lip nervously. He had no knowledge.
  16. He nodded, still blushing. "Y-yeah... I won't doubt you again..." He shivered, still feeling weird.
  17. ^Yeah, I was thinking it was something like that. Like I mentioned earlier, I feel as though areas that are 'magical hotspots' should have more than just crystals growing in them. Maybe plants that contain magic like crystals do, just to a somewhat lesser degree? Or insects that use magic to fuel their bioluminescence and store it in tiny, crystalline structure that form inside of them? Perhaps animals gain a limited sentience thanks to the constant and large presence of magic, causing them to naturally act like a portable hotspot to recharge crystals with? There are lots of things that one could do.
  18. He blushed, relaxing a bit. This still felt weird, but at least it wasn't as weird. He bit his lip, letting Shae do as he pleased, his eyes already closed from habit. He always closed his eyes when they kissed, and Dan kissing him other places than the lips didn't change that.
  19. Shae sucked in a breath, his stomach plunging as he flushed, and trembled. "Co... colors..." He felt weak in the knees, and goodness knows what the sensations rolling through him were. But they were good, and it was Dan, so he forced himself not to push the man away, to let him finish whatever.... this, was.
  20. I agree. Fuel is needed. Natural magic is fueled by people, Innates are fueled by their own power, and rituals are fueled by the energy in the world around them. None of them are particularly powerful or interesting unless you give them access to a larger, more stable fuel source. Sure, rituals can make dimly glowing circles with no outside help, but almost anything else needs some kind of fuel. No idea if the above would fly, but I thought it was an interesting idea.
  21. He blushed. "Oh... W-well... I probably won't have... that... just because of a kiss..." He blushed. Maybe that had been what he'd been feeling. He hoped not- he had no idea what to do if it was.
  22. He blushed, biting his lip and glaring playfully at Dan. "Like what? Make you feel happy?" He felt a bit odd about the licks, but didn't mind too much.
  23. He blushed, chuckling. "Of course I'm fine, I loved it. I was just... a bit overwhelmed. I didn't know that a kiss could make you feel like that." He smiled, hugging Dan's head to try and stop the nuzzling. It was so adorable he thought he might start treating him like a puppy again.
  24. He nodded, biting his lip and shaking his head. "I-I... I'm fine. That was just... very intense." He blushed, smiling slightly as he looked down.
  25. He panted, trying to catch his breath and get his head functioning again. He leaned against Dan, blushing deeply. "N-no, I... its fine... I'm fine..." He sounded dazed, and he looked vaguely happy, just really dazed. That had been the most intense kiss yet...
