  1. Shae chuckled. "I love you too, otherwise I wouldn't me doing this... I mean, I'm fine with touching you and all, but this is... normally, this would be a bit intimate for me. When I'm done, roll onto your back so I can get your chest, alright?" He hummed, continuing and trying not to think about what exactly he'd be doing. He didn't know why he felt so embarrassed about massaging a guys chest- his boyfriends chest- when he wasn't so flustered by his back. At least he knew he'd be doing Dan's legs next, if the man gave him permission, which would be equally more and less embarrassing.
  2. Shae smiled, continuing until every single knot in Dan's back was relaxed- which easily took an hour or so. Then he moved on to the mans shoulders, neck, and arms. He loved the sounds Dan was making, how happy and blissful he sounded- it made him want to never stop.
  3. Shae chuckled, smiling. "No problem... Besides, I need a guniea pig to test out my technique on- you seem like the perfect candidate. Luckily for you, it's mostly practice at this point. I have some practice with this..." He worked Dan's back, doing his best to relax the muscles there as best he could- even massaging the muscles that connected the wings to his back.
  4. They are able to see the spirit web and how it changes- Natural- along with having an innate understand of what is going on and the symbols connected to that- Ritual. Literally, a translator.
  5. Shae smiled, then grabbed some oil he used to keep the pottery wheels turning and walking back over. "Alright, let's get started." He smiled, then poured some oil on Dan's back before beginning to try and massage out the muscles there- knowing he was in for plenty of knotted muscle.
  6. Shae bit his lip, hoping this didn't change what his students thought of him. He struggled enough with some of them already. He pushed it out of his mind, though, and focused on Dan. "Hmm... I did have one project lined up, but the clay isn't here yet. I need to practice my kneading though- if you want to get on a table and lay down, I can show you what I've learned so far." He smiled, going to put his equipment away.
  7. Shae blushed, smiling at Dan. "Pretty great... How are you? Not too sore, I hope..." He kept cleaning up.
  8. Shae smiled, grateful for the help and not minding the sight of Dan dripping wet. He thought it was... sexy. That thought was new to him.
  9. Shae taught the kids for the remaining time he had them, pleasantly surprised by how respectful and obedient the kids were to him.
  10. I think this is pretty good. As for fuel... crystals could form in hotspots offer decades and have lots of fuel, and there could be a weed that's common but has much less fuel than crystals, and you could maybe form connections to people or animals over time that also can act as fuel for magic.
  11. He laughed. "Let's get started. Pull out your projects and let me see what you're up to. We're about to learn weaving, so you'd better start finishing these ones, Alright?" He began looking and walking around.
  12. He whooped, grabbing the hammock and managing to use it to swing enough that he rolled along the ground and got back up with barely a scratch. "Alright, who's ready to learn?" He grinned. This would be a fun three hours.
  13. Plus it allows then to be a literal 'translator' between the magics. Someone who can see and understand the spirit web explaining things to people who can't, but know how to use what the innates see to their advantage.
  14. He glared at Dan, opening his mouth to respond before hesitating. "We did make that Hammock and hang it up... I'd be fine if I grabbed that on the way down..." He smiled. "Let's do it."
  15. Well, maybe specialize, but I think they should be able to see all if the web. If that were their only ability- to see, innately understand, and communicate with the spirits of people, animals, plants, and magic- that would be pretty cool.
  16. He blinked, freezing. "Colors..." He rolled off of Dan pulling on his shirt and standing, looking around. "Think I can make it if I run?"
  17. He blushed, nodding and looking down. "Okay... do you wanna sleep? Or go do something with whatever amount of daylight is left?"
  18. Sorry, auto correct. I've fixed it. I meant to say 'progress'. Very true. Besides, all it takes is a single group who study it religiously and then some of them share their knowledge with the world. Or it got leaked or stolen somehow. The rest might be so far behind them that this new knowledge leads them to start progressing again and discover new things and ways to use this knowledge.
  19. He chuckled. "It's alright. I'm sorry... should I get off of you?" He hoped he wasn't annoying the man.
  20. Not really. Rome invented steam engines, but they didn't use them or improve them because they preferred using their slaves- so it isn't impossible to believe society is just being slow to progress. Besides, natural disasters that don't destroy written records should allow progress while limiting societal progress as a whole.
  21. He shook his head. "I don't think it really could. You're the first person I've ever seen romantically. As far as I know, this is normal. Besides, I don't think anything about you could bother me, I'm too fond of you."
  22. He nodded, chuckling. "Dating someone younger than me that acts older than me is new for me too." He hummed. "Does it bother you?"
  23. Shae looked at him. "Dan? Are you okay? You don't seem happy... I'm sorry if I'm older than you thought..." He felt... bad. He didn't like the idea that Dan might not want him because he was older than him. He'd honestly thought Dan was older than him- he acted like he was an adult, most of the time.
  24. That's what I brought up earlier. You could add multiple of the same kind of 'gene' and have them change slightly and strengthen by mixing enough. That's where the idea of taking a person slight resistance to fire from dozens of people with that gift and combining them into a single object, then that small gift gets stronger and becomes something like fire creation.
  25. He hummed. "Nineteen. And... Yeah. We would probably celebrate in a month or two. How old are you?"
