  1. Shae punched someone as they came around the corner, kicking their chin and refusing, ducking, and ramming an elbow into their crotch before using him bending over to upper cut him into unconsciousness. He muttered, stealing the man's gun. He'd learn how to use it later- for now he planned to use it the way nature intended: as a large bump of metal he could bludgeon people with. He couldn't fight, huh Dan? Oh, they'd be talking later. And training. For now, he'd just find people and take them down one by one. Surely Dan couldn't get mad about that...
  2. Shae growled to himself, chasing after him. He refused to let that murderer escape. He was fast, definitely fast. That was his best skill, aside from forgery and art. And teaching, as proven when the wall repaired itself thanks to the forgery of his student. It was far from permanent, but it was easily enough for now.
  3. Shae gasped, flinching as the spike slashed through a bit of his arm. Perfect... another scar. He stood, leading forwards and tackling the strangers legs from behind. That much would be impossible to dodge- just because the man was focused elsewhere and the battle was loud enough to cover the sound of him getting up. Hopefully it was enough to help Dan get in a decent shot.
  4. Shae whipped out his other hand to catch himself before he hit the floor, wincing as it scraped some stone fragments. He kicked back with his free leg, having an easy path to the man's face thanks to this position. He did his best to ignore the pain in his arm from being so twisted- he could handle worse...
  5. Shae kicked off of the ground to avoid the man's knee, nearly kicking himself in the face as he lashed out at the man's face with his foot.
  6. Shae ducked, rolling to get closer before punching the guy as hard as he could, not caring where- he'd shot at Dan and killed a child. He was going to kill the man.
  7. Shae ran in front of the children, quickly checking on them and grabbing his best skull forger trainee, setting him to work carving a stamp to fix the wall- it wouldn't least long, but better than nothing. He'd care for the... he refused to acknowledge the death right now, pretending the kid was sleeping. He turned to help Dan.
  8. Shae noticed the man who was attempting to hurt the children. The children were far more important than any art, so if this man wad trying to hurt them, he needed to be fought off. Shae had no illusions- if this mean was as good as Dan, then the best he could do was distract him and maybe get him off balance- hopefully that would work until Dan could help. He began running towards the man, intentionally ruining in a way that would be hard to hit with projectiles- guns weren't familiar to him, but he understood them enough to know at least this much about avoiding them.
  9. Shae froze for half a second as Dan left before quickly ushering the kids over to the bunker, handing the oldest one there- that he trusted- the key so they could lock themselves in, then began to hurry around the building, hesitating when the building changed. His soulstamp??? He paled, quickly beginning to head some of the more heavily defended rooms, nervously seeking to protecting the art within.
  10. Can God's mate with eachother? What happens?
  11. That's true, I was just using that as a temporary name holder.
  12. About the above, I think that the 'feminine' innate (I'll call them yang innate for now) can see the aura or soul, right? So they'd be able to see the circles that manipulate their spiritual gender and physical gender should be different. They might recognize a circle that accomplishes that change even if they cannot create it themselves. Maybe the body circle that decides gender and the spirit or cognitive one being different leaves a sense of being broken or incomplete, and then that change would be easier to accomplish than most physical ones.
  13. 1. I agree with you, I like your ideas about innate natural magic. It feels almost oriental. 2. I've been wondering about that. And what about genderfluid people? What should the stance if the world be? And what's the stance of the people and culture?
  14. Something similar occurs naturally in the real world- men are more specially minded than women 3/4's of the time, and women are more socially/facially minded 3/4's of the time. If it's tied to that kind of thing, then it actually makes sense.
  15. Point A: you are correct! Point B: maybe, but it could also be that only the ritual side of innate has been explored. Maybe the more natural side is just being discovered in the way you mentioned by the ASL.
  16. ^this is what I intended. I'm sorry, my auto correct likes to go on and use its own rules. And yes, I know that we'd then have to map out ley lines, but it shouldn't be too hard if they tend to follow rivers and such. Besides, like was pointed out earlier, it would be limited only to women, and by local. Besides, the only thing they can do naturally is change their views. They'd need to be a prepared Ritualist directly on a ley line to be at all OP. Even then, the maximum power would be equal to a normal mana crystal. In a true nexus/node is the only place they'd be able to out power normal Ritualist's, and that's dependant on the number of crossing lines. And women would understand circles and their function, but would have to research the individual runes themselves. I'd they saw a circle to cause a wave, they couldn't cause a tsunami- they don't know which runes control the size of the wave. It's like knowing how to speak a language vs. knowing how to read one.
  17. Suggested fix to the innate in response to a common concern:
  18. 1. Sure, just a minute. 2. Yes. I meant 'their' and 'plant' respectively.
  19. If we wanted, there's an interesting way I can divide Innate magic that would make female Innate more valuable to Ritualists than males, while giving the males some odd quirks too. 1. Why not? 2. It depends on if people like my Innate idea- giving them more power and influence would automatically increase equality in such a trade-centered, Ritualist dominant society. 3. Not as it is now, though that also depends, as if one had training an Innate could power the circle they see around a person relating to hair health, or do the same to a plany making it instantly more effective as a healing herb. It depends.
