  1. Can a Knight Awkward be part of this? Cause judging by my past victims friends I'm already under Ruin's influence.
  2. Um, I just wanted to note that I used to be able to read Italian. I could relearn it, but that would take some time. Or I could use Translate, but not the best choice.
  3. Heal Marsh, Hurt Jasnah 2. Kaladin 45 HP 5. Shallan 25 HP 20. Marsh 15 HP 25. Jasnah 40 HP Save Marsh!!!
  4. I discovered it last night. I haven't had much time to check for stuff.
  5. I would guess that the Stormfather wouldn't talk to Dalinar much, but be more of just a presence watching him doing stuff. My guess is that he would only talk to Dalinar if the Blackthorn wanted him to/needed advice. Also, the Stormfather said there wouldn't be anymore visions, right? I need to reread WoR. Interesting question, though.
  6. So I was reading the part where Nalan gives Szeth Nightblood, and I was wondering, does each Herald have their own unique Order, like with Nalan his is the Skybreakers? If they do, can someone list all the Heralds and their corresponding Orders/Surges? I've figured out Nalan's is the Skybreakers and Taln's is the Stonewards, but that's about it. Can someone help? Thanks
  7. True, I was being very optimistic about their powers. And you are correct that invisibility would be more like camouflage. I was thinking of when Shallan made an illusion around her of a rock to hide from the Ghostbloods, (may have just made that up, I can't remember). Still my views were probably not too realistic. Thanks for the feedback though!
  8. When I first didn't know about the Cosmere... Self-explanatory Sorry for it being faded and my bad drawing skilz
  9. The doors swung open, and a pale Shin man walked in, wearing a deep dark red cloak. He swung his gaze around the hall, and his eyes settled on the ruler of this dominion, the noble Mistrunner. Immediately, he went down on one knee, bald head bowed, red cloak fluttering. "My liege," the man said. "I am the Assassin in Burgundy. I have ridden over the Misted Mountains of Shinovar, through the Pits of Hathsin, and around the great city of Elantris, which, though fair, pales in comparison to you and your guild. "I seek entrance to the Knights Awkward, the sacred order of a bunch of people who sit around talking about books they've read five billion times." "Speak the oaths, Burgundy Assassin," Mistrunner called. The Assassin in Burngundy rose from his kneel. "Books before friends. 17th Shard before the real world. Release dates before birthdays. I will speculate even if there is nothing to speculate upon." Mistrunner nodded regally. "The words are accepted. Rise, Sir Knight. The Assassin in Burgundy nodded his thanks. "Books before friends. It is the task to which I am now sworn." Mistrunner pursed her lips. "Books before friends, Awkward."
  10. I'm noticing a severe lack of a favorite character option for Stick...
  11. All physics technobabble aside, both soulcasting and illusions would be very powerful if they're trained. Think about it. Jasnah was able to kill four thieves with Soulcasting, and Dalinar noted during one of his visions that "the danger to the Radiants was real." You could potentially Soulcast an army of Voidbringers into stone or crystal in a matter of seconds with enough Lightweavers. Unlike Windrunners, Lightweavers could stay back and Medusa the crap out of an army, and that's just one of their powers. Which brings me to their second Surge, Illumination. Creating illusions are obscenely powerful if you think about it. You could hide an entire battalion of Radiants be putting up a false shield, create a false army on the other side of the battlefield, and attack Voidbringers from their flank while they're wondering why their tasty Shardplate morsel is just refusing to be harmed in anyway. And speaking of hiding an entire battalion, they could effectively employ invisibility, only they couldn't move while shrouded by the illusion. Lightwaves don't need lasers. They're powerful enough as it is.
  12. This is about Szeth killing Gavilar. Sung to "Hooked in a Feeling." (guardians of the galaxy) Not complete, this is just snippets. Chorus I'm stuck on the ceiling... And my arm has lost feeling... that man is glowing greeeeeen I said Im stuck on the cieling And my arm has lost feeling That mans good at killiiiiing... I said I'm stuck on the ceiling! Spears as sharp as razors, balanced on the floor, Now I fall onto it... He is heading... for the door He's gonna kill Gavilar Sent by the Parshendi etc etc
  13. True, but I'm trying to think of another reason for Darkness to be at the party Gavilar was killed in, and I'm coming up empty. But you do strike a valid point.
  14. So I was rereading the first chapter of WoK, where Szeth killed Gavilar. According to the chapter, before Szeth even tried to kill him, he noticed a Makabaki man with a pale crescent shaped mark on his cheek talking to a Parshendi, if I remember correctly. This, of course, is Darkness, or Darkness tried to kill Lift because she was using powers that "could return the Desolations to this world," and in Ym's case, he didn't show mercy, even though Ym had spent most of his life doing good by giving poor people shoes. And Gavilar who is kind of a mix between both of their cases. He was trying to/could return the Desolations, (Lift), but he still had somewhat good intentions, (Ym). So I believe that Szeth's real employer was not the Parshendi, but Darkness, or Darkness was influencing the Parshendi to send Szeth after Gavilar. Also, this is probably just a coincidence, but the name Darkness may have a connection with Gavilar's black sphere. So, am I correct, or partly? If so, (or not), please comment. Thanks!
  15. Ha, you sound like me. Welcome to the 17th Shard!

  17. But then again, if Brandon Sanderson dies/is unable to write, I'd be willing to bet that somewhere in his will he has an author who he'd want to finish the Stormlight Archive. It's just too big of a project for him not to have some kind of insurance.
  18. So the last Worldhopper is from Taldian? I need to read that.
