Man what a great read i still laugh at the part that Dalinar uses the assassins knife lol i cannot wait to read book 3
-
Yeah i should be doing that the problem is that i only really enjoy Dalinar and Kaladin's pov. I'll try a complete reread next time
-
Me too since everytime i reread WoR i just reread Dalinar and Kaladin parts. I don't actually read shallan's or the other pov like that merchant girl which i can't remember the name or lift(well last time i read lift's pov just on the part that Nale was chasing her)
-
I don't think Jasnah is gay(after all she still puts up alot of work looking like a hot girl for somebody who is known to be defiant) but rather asexual or whatever the term is for uninterested in pursuing romantic relationship. I think she's too much interested in scholarly and Knight Radiant stuff for those. And she probably isn't thrilled as much with anybody romantically pursuing her anymore considering she's like the daughter of the former king and the princess of alekthar that those who pursued her before probably did not meet her expectation and she lost interest overall.

That thing that Nale used to suck Lift's "awesomeness"(stormlight), i can't actually remember the imagery of that thing or creature

so far all we know is that another shard is keeping Harmony preoccupied (i heavily doubt it's Odium) and it could probably just be another shard Though this WoB might probably just be some of the vague but general answers that and then there's also this but my bet is that Trell is just Autonomy or some other shard we don't know yet

Granted but Odium is on earth and there's no other shard around to stop him. I wish I was one of the shards friends and even if their intent says they have to hurt me they can't. -
Yes, he is Honor's vessel. http://www.theoryland.com/intvmain.php?i=698
-
I thought he created those things ? Since originally there were no mistborn before his time and all mistborn originated from the lerasium
-
There's a bit of a problem with that. Historically only Vin and whoever Harmony/Preservation chooses to lend the mists have been able to use the power of the mist or able to manipulate the mist, even a fellow shard like Ruin has only been able to encourage the mists not use them on their own since it is not his own power. If something as powerful as a shard(which is technically the most powerful beings in the universe) couldn't make use the unguided power of another shard, i doubt another human could possibly just do that. And there's even a question on how on earth will they be able to do that alone (remember that people are powerless) Also the big problem that i mentioned is that there is a mind behind the mists which is Harmony. I heavily doubt they could do that. In the first place Lerasium wouldn't be a thing if Rashek didn't make them during his ascension.

I honestly feel like the legend about the Tranquil halls is just an overstatement and probably just means a fight against Odium or probably a lie that cultivation or honor made(unlikely ) . Or probably just because there something going on with death in Roshar that Odium is involved so maybe whoever dies ends up not going to the beyond and staying instead to fight odium or something (just a wild theory.)

Yeah when it comes to trilogy's nothing beats mistborn for me. Even though i found Wax and Wayne not as great. Book 3 is so sick. And here i was thinking there is no way they could top book 1 then book 2 did (well i really like what happened) and then book 3 went crazy.

Granted but it screams in your head all the time, summoned or not. And it can't be unbonded. I wish i had hemalurgic spikes of my favorite magics from different cosmere magic system(and no spike in my eyes) like Skybreaker shardblade+surges, mistborn basic 4 metals etc. -
It probably doesn't help that Skybreakers are like a better version of windrunner with the Division surge(the same surge as dustbringer which i assume is a destructive surge) instead of the sticky/sticky surge, probably makes them the most combat oriented out of all of them. Yeah Skybreakers might really be what we suspected as has lots of issues with the other Order except probably BondSmiths. And they still remained like mentioned by Mraize back when Shallan was still young so they are probably the order that was mentioned in one of the epigraphs that reaped from the destruction of the other Orders especially that Nale seems to still guide the Order.
-
This is really interesting, i read WoR like too many times and i didn't even notice that was weird.
-
I thought that Skybreakers and the Windrunners are the one who actually have a rivalry (i thought i've seen it from the epigraph mentioning this) even though ironically it seems like their two head heralds seem fine with each other (Nale even seems to showcase respect to Jezrein assuming he stops drooling lol). Well i guess it makes sense since Skybreakers can probably be vengeful (according to Syl's reaction with kaladin wanting justice) and Windrunners are like standard protagonist of generic non-dark fantasy's that "doing right thing even if it means sparing whoever".

Yeah Ruin is pretty impressive antagonist, apart from the part where all inquisitors got rekt by almost ascended Vin and Vin suicide bombing him at the end, Ruin pretty much played everybody in his hand and everything they did actually helped him lol I feel like it's not because Ruin is locked in the well as to why he had some semblance of manipulation over Rashek during his ascension. Don't forget that Ruin is a shard himself and an equal of preservation, he's still as powerful as preservation overall so even locked up he could still do some stuff, i doubt as a shard you could actually completely seal another shard even when you use your life like in the case of Mistborn and in Stormlight Archives where
-
Makes sense though i don't feel like Honor is Odium's opposite. I don't think Odium opposite has showed up yet.
-
Vin removed her earring at the time she dived in the well during WoA, if you reread that part she explains a tearing pain on her ear. It simply is not possible for anybody to take up the power of preservation with a hemalurgic spike (unless it's Harmony's reign then it doesn't matter) but during the time of Ruin even Vin as the literal soon-to-be actual vessel of preservation(not like Rashek with limited time or Kel that preservation itself is literally rejecting him) cannot ascend with the spike. Also even if lets say the inquisitor somehow doesn't die with removing the spikes taking the power of the well, i don't think it could just be anybody who could take the well or hold preservation.

I was wondering who the storm was Leras referring about when he said that. But if Senna is cultivation, wasn't Tanavast and cultivation's vessel inlove with each other ? Like maybe Leras might've had a one-sided love with Senna.

Autonomy and Odium may not necessarily be allies anymore even if assuming they worked together in the past. Yeah i dig that possibly Bavadin may have been an evil man before but the shard of Autonomy may have changed him, like how Ruin changed Ati. I mean if it was possible for a kind man to turn evil then it's definitely withing the realm of possibility the other way around. Also Sanderson could've probably just meant other shards who worked with Odium before
-
Yeah i only learned about this info from coppermind too. I couldn't remember which part it was mentioned that she was Jezrein's daughter, prolly in one of the more crpytic epigraphs.
-
I remember Sanderson stating(i can't remember if it was just a q&a answer or some interview/conference video of him on youtube) that we should see more interaction between stormfather and dalinar for sure. I imagine it would be like with Vin & Ruin from mistborn talking to each other like alot of time, not as enemies but just like Vin&Ruin also not that friendly with each other. The stormfather might be really walled and does not give information easily and like Dalinar has to bait him into talking. Granted stormfather might be too pessimistic and ragey about alot of things. but he's probably right with negativity since the heralds aren't exactly helping, the everstorm who i assume is Odium's superspren has been released which never happened before and more importantly Honor being dead. Every desolation those were not true and humanity was still reduced to almost ashes, so this desolation it doesn't look like they stand a chance. I wonder if the stormfather would comply to dalinar's request like sending highstorms or prolly calling other sprens. Stormfather "Didn't i already tell you stop calling me all the time! I swear if you keep doing this i'm not responding even when you actually needed my help. Not that i'm helping anyways."
-
I think Ruin is probably the best out of all of them. Never felt so much intrigue and overwhelming villain compared to others. (maybe this would change once Sanderson reveals how Odium the most dangerous shard works in stormlight) One of the few times that i'm reading a book that i actually feel like the hurdle that the protagonist face is impossible. I mean tampering communication itself is something else.

Granted but the new clothes are for the opposite gender (so if you wanted shorts you get a mini-skirt instead) I wish i was a sliver of any of the shards.
