  1. Mistborn is what really got me into Sanderson's works, and that's what I recommend for people new to the Cosmere because it explains some of the recurring dynamics in Sanderson's works.
  2. @Kyrt Malthorn Most of the people on here are one of more of avid readers, fantasy writers, and fantasy role-players. I'm in the third category and a bit in the first so I don't follow the writing side of the forums much, but it sounds like you'd appreciate Creator's Corner.
  3. About double-posting it's actually not as bad as they make it sound. Triple posting, however... I'm at medium knowledge of Allomancy, Feruchemy, and Hemalurgy (read the first trilogy but not the second). Surgebinding I probably know much of what's out there. AonDor and Dakhor it's been too long since I've read Elantris, so I forgot most of the mechanics.
  4. @STINK Enlighten us as to the identities of our foes. Since last Day Aman threatened me with the Practitioner kill, and didn't agree to move it off of me, I'm posting a final list of reads, just in case I get nuked tonight. Sart: Aman called him the Acolyte, but outed-elim!Aman is notoriously hard to read. I did find it suspicious when he claimed Pirate--an Acolyte's cover--so readily. Alvron: Aman calls him a conversion role but yet he somehow survives an attack. I can't say for sure whether he's Jeskeri, Pirate, or Conversion. Lopen: My strongest non-Jeskeri read, but is possibly Converted. Can be counted on to kill Jeskeri, however. STINK: Neutral and powerful, I'd trust STINK more than most players right now. Elenion: Me Arraenae: I'm reading village on Rae ever since the Silverblade Incident. Eolhondras: Reading heavily toward Cultist: he was lurking during Aman's speech and didn't even cast a vote, most likely trying to remain out of the politics. Conquestor: I'm leaning village (and legit Pirate) but not by much. Aonar Faileas: Reading as village due to his vehement arguments against anyone even trying to convert him. Could be Jeskeri, though. OrlokTsubodai: I think he's telling the truth about being very busy, but that doesn't help with determining his alignment. Unknown. The Young Bard: Not village; I think he's either Neutral or Jeskeri. If I had to put my Practitioner suspicions on one player right now, it would be Eol.
  5. That would be one of the birds: they have STR 3. I had 3 people gang on me round 1: Kipper, Straw, and Joe, but none of them did more than 1 damage.
  6. First, what is this Trell who has the spikes? Is this from the second trilogy? Please keep the insults to a minimum.
  7. Here's how we're going to have to analyze this tonight: If Alv is killed by the Jeskeri and is a conversion role, the Jeskeri are on our side (so long as it suits them, which doesn't mean much) against another faction If Alv is killed by the Jeskeri but is not another faction, then the Jeskeri are deceiving us and must die If me or another villager are killed by the Jeskeri, this means war. I hope for all of the Jeskeris' sakes that Aman is telling the truth.
  8. "Your words sound fair but for the warning in my heart" -LOTR (approximate quote) Aman, you're a crafty player who has proven numerous times that as an outed eliminator you serve only yourself. While you may on the surface appear to be helping us out, I think that the type of help you're suggesting will involve killing a few villagers as well as some (possible) converts. A few villagers and some converts dead and the Jeskeri will control the lynch. Thanks but no thanks.
  9. Granted. However, those you get happen to be the local online trolls. I wish to know more about Surgebinding.
  10. Hurt Hemalurgy, heal Surgebinding 1. Allomancy- 7 2. Feruchemy- 23 3. Hemalurgy- 10 7. Surgebinding- 23 8. Forgery-7 15. Rithmatics- 15
  11. Welcome and have an upvote, a warning about contaminated cookies, and a referral to the Role-Playing subforums.
  12. Ecthelion was actually the one who killed the Balrog, so it's my brother that you should be concerned about. My name's based off of Ereinion Gil-Galad.
  13. Len the bandwagoner reporting! Bard Aman @Amanuensis I almost feel bad for doing this, seeing as between SD and I we actually saved Aman last time he was up for lynch. That being said, Aman and @TheMightyLopen disagree on what Bard scanned. Here's our options for Aman and Lopen: Both evil: WRONG because Lopen's been legitly trying to kill Aman the past couple turns Aman evil, Lopen village: PLAUSIBLE Aman village, Lopen evil: WRONG because Village!Aman wouldn't lie about scanning Lopen Both village: PLAUSIBLE In both plausible scenarios Lopen is village. Bard would then have no reason to lie to Lopen, so that means Aman is lying.
  14. Revenge for an early death? Aman @Amanuensis Your spreadsheet has the wrong attack for me first round. My PM confirmed that I hit Orlok for no damage, which is also how I knew that he had a resistant (and unknown) pokemon.
  15. Here's the thing with the Duke votes: My Duke vote went on Kipper, HOWEVER I attempted to switch both it and my normal vote to SD at the last second because I was convinced that Kipper's role would have taken me down with him. I got a PM confirmation from Joe that my vote switch was NOT in time, so the Duke vote on Kipper was mine. I think the Duke vote on SD was STINK using his day ability, seeing as he had both means and motive to do it. Right now, I'm most suspicious of Bard. From the beginning I read elim on him; that's why I told him Pirate D2. He voted for SD, further making him suspicious. But my most danging () evidence is right here, when he tried to get me lynched on a lie. I countered with proof here, but I was suspicious at the time and so I didn't get the support I needed.
  16. But that would make Norshon less unique. @Conquestor please ignore AiB's request.
