Long Game (3)2: Pulling on Strings
Elenion replied to Orlok Tsubodai's topic in Sanderson Elimination
Right now my vote on Drought ising the doing of more harm than good, because ising the leaving of the door open for a vote manip tie. Spartacus. May the Crusade ising the being of commencing. I think that the Inquisitor offed Aman, and they did it because of paranoia about Aman and his plans. Had I been in the Inquisitor's place I think I would have gone along with Aman's proposition: I love a good battle of wits. A battle like that would not be one I'd be likely to pass up. -
Best I can manage is one finger on the right hand and one on the left, and that's only for Praise to the Man. I can't read music; all I have is muscle memory and memorization of the fingering.

This is coming from a pessimist-turned-realist (I'm really only optimistic when I'm on a date with an optimist ). Making people happy is difficult to do, especially if you aren't feeling happy yourself. The trick that I've found is to make them feel like they're worth something. The root of most unhappiness, be it unhappiness with oneself, unhappiness with others, unhappiness with life in general, is a lack of a feeling of personal belonging. Some people see it as what it is, some project it onto others, some don't have a clue why they're unhappy, but it comes from a lack of feeling like you belong. Too many things in this world focus on tearing people down: sports, especially professional sports, are based on who is better than the other person; academics often turns into competition for scholarships; advancement at work is based on who does the job best. And that leaves people feeling down, like they're never enough. Your job, in trying to make them happy, is to break that cycle. Your job is to show them that they are good at something. Anything. Everyone has something that they're good at. Look at a person, and find out what that thing is. Then, help them with it. As they find that they're good at something, they will begin to feel like they belong somewhere, and that feeling of belonging is what will make them happy, and it will make you happier as well.

Long Game (3)2: Pulling on Strings

RP (shifting to third-person for this part): No white text here. Carry on with your business. Roger Elariel not only fell in with the funeral procession, but somehow he ended up as one of the carriers of the body. This Mykal ising the having of much weight. Never the noticing of that before. Maybe wasing the bulky clothing. But of course he would never have said that out loud, much less at her sort-of-funeral. Instead, he simply tried not to show the strain on his muscles as the procession slowly wound its way around Tekiel's basement. The Magister had to have taken the longest way to the crypt possible, but it was better than listening to the Terrisman pontificate on historical treatises and the like. The crypt room was a solemn affair: a stone room with no furnishings or paintings, only coffins. Thirty of them, to be exact. Most were stacked along the back wall. One sat in the corner, lid closed to prevent Sart from decaying for as long as possible. A second sat in the middle of the room, and this was where Roger Elarial helped place Mykal's body. She lay in the coffin, limp and arms askew. Nobody bothered to arrange her into a more restful pose; instead, they just closed the lid, and Roger helped carry the coffin to the corner where Sart's already lay. What kind of sick man ising the ising of the Court Fool? A man who would ising the watching of thirty good people, none of whom wasing the knowing of him, ising the tearing of each other apart in paranoid fits. Ising obvious! The Court Fool ising the being of a corrupt capitalist! Stop reading my white text, you corrupt capitalists! ;D -

I'm putting my vote on Drought. He's lurking, at least according to Jon. He has been active enough to put in orders, but not active enough to accrue much suspicion. Is there a high chance that Drought is evil? No. Is that chance just as high as for anyone else? Yes, and if we do kill Drought we lose less than if we kill an active player. -

A couple things I'm not sure if anyone else ising the noticing: 1. This cycle ising the hasing of the tag Night 2 instead of Day 2 2. The Tin message this cycle ising the having of the dreaded white text. -

I think the bandwagon on Yitzi2 has gone far enough. I've reread the thread to current in a less sleep-deprived state and I don't think his vote was made with evil intent. I may not agree with the reasoning behind it (other players have already affirmed that I didn't do anything not in my usual playstyle), but it doesn't strike me as an Inquisitor move. Maybe that of a member of a standard elim team, but not for a solo elim. -

Ising the missing of something. You said that your opinion was based on "considering the reasoning of others" but you just barely said that there aren't any others that you are considering the reasoning of other than Araris? I'm sleep-deprived so that might be part of the problem. -

Ising the doing of the rest of this post without the speaking of High Imperial. Okay, let's look at this objectively. You say that your opinion is based on the reasoning of others. What others, specifically? Araris put a tentative vote on me for being aggressive, so that could be one of them. I can't think of any others who have expressed any suspicion of me except Kipper, who is just salty from some previous game, possibly LG24. So has someone told you they are suspicious of me in PM but neglected to tell me the same? -

@Kipper Is it LG24 you're salty about? I forget. Drake wasing the voting of Ecth. DK apparently ising the believing of Ecth, so he ising the voting of Drake. Ising the voting of Yitzi2. Wasing the saying he wanted to have his vote on the most "likely target", meaning he ising the using of little to no opinion of his own. -

*scans over Night discussion* I don't think I was any more aggressive towards him than usual: I asked him a question (with a bit of a point), he responded, I believed him, and in later posts I suggested that the Rioter was a non-voting villager looking to prevent other vote manip. @Araris Valerian -

Ising the being of okay. Ising the having of precedent in many games. The only thing that you really ising the needing of avoiding ising computerized encoders and decoders. Take it easy comrades. I'm innocent, dangit. What ising it with unsubstantiated votes/threats of votes falling on me? Last game wasing Bart, then before this game wasing Kipper, and now ising Araris. I'm fine with the ising of being of votes on me, but I would like an ising of being of reasoning, at least. @Araris Valerian -

@OmeGaster Ising the seeing of you wasing the viewing of the thread, but you wasing the not of posting. Ising the what of your thoughts on the Rioting? Translation: I saw you viewing the thread, but you didn't post. What are your thoughts, specifically on why Lopen's vote was Rioted? -
I don't remember exactly where I read it (as is usual with me), but I remember hearing that Listeners can not only bond Radiant Spren but can use them to Surgebind like any "human" Radiant. We don't know for certain, as far as I know, but we have many examples of Shards preferring to choose certain numbers over others. So there could be a Shard that has no set number, but precedent leans against it.

Long Game (3)2: Pulling on Strings
Elenion replied to Orlok Tsubodai's topic in Sanderson Elimination
Ising the believing that the Rioting of Lopen was done for the solidifying of the vote on Sart, not for the saving of Mark or Drought. A village Rioter could have wasing the doing of the moving of the vote to ensure that no Rioting wasing the saving of Sart, while in the process ising the declaring of their role as in the game, much like we ising the guessing of the Soothing of SB. Translation because syntax was weird this post: I think the Rioter moved Lopen's vote not to save Mark or Drought but to solidify the vote on Sart and declare that their role was in the game. They chose Lopen because they knew he was active and would notice the change, and they chose Sart because they didn't want him getting off because of other vote manip. This makes me think the Rioter is village. [Note: For time reasons, I'm only doing translations on posts where the High Imperial verbage makes my points unclear. For the rest you're on your own.] -
I haven't read the Rithmatist but I'm feeling up for another game. I'll sign up as Isaac "The Hammer" Jones. Inside that pea-sized brain of his is stuffed a planet-sized ego. While he was young he had many brushes with the law, usually for fighting with other boys over some girl or other. While in the army he developed a drinking problem that was initially overlooked because of his skill with weapons of every sort, but after it got him into a brawl with a superior officer he was promptly dismissed. Since his dismissal he hasn't stopped drinking, and still resorts to violence as his first method of dealing with problems.

If ising the being of the GM, GM!Len would hasing the making of the Inquisitor someone who is not liable to be ising of the lynching early. GM!Len would have hasing the making of the Inquisitor someone who hasing experience with conversion mechanics and hasing the ability to lurk without looking out of character. Ising the hasing of awakened, finally. Ising the where of the ising of this place? Ising the saying of the other people here of Keep Tekiel, but ising the hasing of cynicism and the not hasing of believing in everything. Ising the ising of an office adjoining this room. Ising the hasing of any important documents? Hmmm... shipping manifests... servant records... house ledgers! Ising the ising of books upon books of financial records of House Tekiel. Ising the might of taking a while... -

They do things like spam posting a bunch of posts one after another, posting advertisements for an external site or product, posting junk responses like "Anyone else agree with this?" on random threads, and similar things. Their post history will give them away 99% of the time.

Long Game (3)2: Pulling on Strings
Elenion replied to Orlok Tsubodai's topic in Sanderson Elimination
Oh, ising the making of much more sense. When I wasing the reading of LG2, wasing the assuming that a Ruin-granted power wasing the meaning of the power to convert. And then people suddenly ising the referring to UberMetals and I'm ising the being of "Ising the having of the Inquisitor ultimate metals? Huh?" But now ising the knowing that Ruin powers ising the granting of special abilities that ising the expending when they are used to convert. Ising the being of enough to get that vote off of me? -

Ising the Inquisitor the having of special powers? Ising the hearing of references to that regard, but ising the not seeing of it in the rules. Meta, wasing the GMing of LG2, right? Ising the having of any guesses about the number of conversions the Inquisitor ising having? Ising the being of normal English: @Metacognition
