  1. I was holding off upvoting it because it makes me want to throw up just looking at it. It was relavent and useful info so I threw one your way.
  2. @KidWayne I know your question was directed at Chaos, but just wanted to add that perhaps it could be a simple matter of people pressing the wrong arrow (the down one) and then correcting it later. My mobile is kind of small and I have made that mistake a few times.
  3. Just was wandering what my fellow sharders were planning on doing. I personally voted no. Not because I didn't like the story; it was ok, not my favorite though. I thought there were stronger stories in Arcanum Unbounded. The Emperors Soul was my favorite and I wouldn't pay for a novella only release for that one to go along with my Arcanum Unbounded.
  4. I don't, but I know one of the reviewers at the bibliosanctum has one and is reading it now. Are you also a reviewer/blogger? https://bibliosanctum.com/2017/10/07/mogsys-bookshelf-roundup-stacking-the-shelves-recent-reads-46/
  5. Sounds almost as bad as the "Turducken."
  6. So no Poll on "How to people feel about Polls about Polls?" I guess the madness has to stop somewhere.
  7. I wonder what story Brandon has been working on the longest. It has to be either the Dark One or Death by Pizza doesn't it?
  8. I only could get through the first three of the first published ICE books, but really enjoyed Dancers Lament and didn't feel like I missed anything. Perhaps I did, but I didn't notice anything to hamper any enjoyment.
  9. You have listed one of the many flaws that this series started to accumulate and that I could no longer look past. Which is a shame because this series has a lot of things going for it.
  10. Lift. A immature silly girl that just keeps saying "awesome" over and over and over again. I get why people like her, but she just does not work for me at this time. I think in the latter novels, when she has some time to mature, she could improve.
  11. Hopefully something cosmere; most likely a novella. I get that Brandon owes his fans nothing, but one cosmere story for the next three years (after November 14) is a tough pill to swallow.
  12. Worked at a hospital for about a year and have great respect for them. I know they are run ragged their entire shift caring for others. They deserve every penny they make. I'm sure that the place where your mom works will be able to beat the lawsuit. These fraudulent claims happen more than one would think.
  13. Depends on what your goal is. If your goal is to answer questions your teacher gives you than you can glance at the text looking for the unique words.
  14. When you create your own shardblade to present to Brandon Sanderson. I am not sure if others have posted this story, but it's pretty cool: https://www.tor.com/2017/10/20/crafting-a-shardblade-for-brandon-sanderson-2/#more-144619
  15. I assume you mean provo? Best of luck! If you don't get in, and depending on what your degree is, you might want to think of BYU-Idaho.
  16. I know I am very late to all this discussion, but it was also posted on Tor: https://www.tor.com/2017/10/20/check-out-the-stunning-endpapers-in-brandon-sandersons-oathbringer/
  17. And as a bonus controversial opinion I think you are the only person who has labeled the Dresden Files as Dark fantasy. Most people would consider them urban fantasy and a lighthearted one too.
  18. Hopefully someone else is driving the car
  19. Read it and then use it as a door stop. Or a weapon to bludgeon would be intruders; I imagine a 1300 pg hardcover could do some damage.
  20. Dancers Lament is so much fun! Its lighter, faster, and the easiest malazan installment to date. Its almost as Brandon Sanderson decided to write a malazan novel. I know that many love the complexity, puzzles and philosophy of a typical malazan novel, but it was such a refreshing change of pace from the Kharkanus books!
  21. Inspired by @Roadwalker!
  22. There are so many better Science Fiction stories than Star Wars. For those curious I would include the following to that statement: Banks' Culture series, Legend of the Galactic Heroes, the Expanse, Cook's Darkwar trilogy, Tales of a Dying Earth, Red Rising series, Hurley's God War trilogy etc
  23. Your arteries are probably thanking you.
  24. As far as I know in Roshar thats how it works. If you have read Elantris then you know they have a different method that works how I envision it. As far as I know there are no surges that operate in the way I suggested.
  25. I woud skip going to the cognitive realm (I believe thats the right one) and go straight to my desired location. One second I could be in Shinovar and the next Alethkar (sorry if spelling is off. I usually listen to the audiobooks)
