Probably a safe bet. The OP was so rushed they spelled "now" wrong. Not that I could blame them though; bigger fish to fry and all that.

Apocalypse Guard Officially On-Hold

On the bright side perhaps this moves up Wax and Wayne #4? Way more excited about that series anyway. -
Apocalypse Guard Officially On-Hold
Ammanas replied to CaptainRyan's topic in General Brandon Discussion
That's really interesting. I am shocked that a author as experienced as Sanderson is can be flummoxed by The Apocalypse Guard trilogy. On that same note bravo for Brandon for not putting out what he feels to be a inferior product even though it would sell well and make a ton of money. It probably took a lot of courage to admit that the project is broken and he doesn't know how to fix it at the moment. -

Cool! I'm happy for you!

Yes! It is such a haunting story. It has stuck with me all day.

A upvote for the first one who can tell me what I am watching based on this clue: There was a merchant in Bagdad who sent his servant to market to buy provisions and in a little while the servant came back, white and trembling, and said, Master, just now when I was in the marketplace I was jostled by a woman in the crowd and when I turned I saw it was Death that jostled me. She looked at me and made a threatening gesture, now, lend me your horse, and I will ride away from this city and avoid my fate. I will go to Samarra and there Death will not find me. The merchant lent him his horse, and the servant mounted it, and he dug his spurs in its flanks and as fast as the horse could gallop he went. Then the merchant went down to the marketplace and he saw me standing in the crowd and he came to me and said, why did you make a threatening gesture to my servant when you saw him this morning? That was not a threatening gesture, I said, it was only a start of surprise. I was astonished to see him in Bagdad, for I had an appointment with him tonight in Samarra.

Having a Bad Day?: Get 'yer Hugs here!!
Ammanas replied to Curious Anamaximder's topic in General Discussion
@PlanetReelo Sorry to hear that. Hopefully everything works out! This probably doesn't help, but I just read a section of a book that reminded me a little of your situation and I thought I would share: -
Heard this song on the radio and it brought back a lot of memories!

Hard to believe its almost here! It doesn't seem so long ago that I created the countdown clock! Btw I just saw the Oathbringer is the most preordered book of all time for audible. Congrats to the Sanderson team!

Mystery Project in Sanderson's Status Bar
Ammanas replied to Exalted's topic in General Brandon Discussion
Since this is the thread of rampant speculation I submit the following: it is a novella set is Soviet Scadrial! There is a cold war both literally and figuratively between New Seran with its satellite areas and South Scadrial. -
I've always wondered, for this wish, if you spend vast amounts (on a daily basis) would it be enough to cause hyper inflation and could one bear that on ones continence? It is entirely possible that am over thinking this... My wishes would be: to be a shapeshifter, invisibility (that I could turn on and off) and the ability to cure any disease with a single touch of the finger to someone.

Also a big Krammer fan, but he only has about 10 voices or so in his repertoire. I'm sure you have already heard the voice he would of used for him. I imagine he would sound a lot like Wayne from the mistborn era two books

[OB] A new perspective on who wrote Oathbringer
Ammanas replied to Necessary Eagle's topic in Stormlight Archive
I haven't been keeping up with on possible writers, but Sigzil makes a lot of sense to me. I don't know if this is a popular idea or not. -
Martin also doesn't believe in drafting and planning a series/book, so I am not worried that Sanderson will repeat his mistakes. How they both go about writing a novel is completely different.

Since we live in a culture where everything has to have a sensational headline I thought of one after reading a article, linked below, that could read, "Rothfuss Blasts Fans! Tells them to F-off and Die! http://www.vulture.com/2017/10/patrick-rothfuss-fantasy-next-superstar.html I don't have anything personally against Rothfuss. I dont have the energy to waste being angry at him. I just thought this article would be of interest to my fellow sharders.

Mystery Project in Sanderson's Status Bar
Ammanas replied to Exalted's topic in General Brandon Discussion
That sounds right, but I dont know where I heard it. Brandon also changes his mind frequently, so nothing is set in stone. -
I might be the only sharder who feels this way, but I'm actually debating if I want to start reading Oathbringer on November 14 or not. I really want to read it, but I worry that when I finish it I know its going to be three years until the next one. I'm afraid to start it because I know its only a matter of time until its finished. I'm thinking about keeping it on my shelf and just saving it for if I am going through a rough spell...it will be nice to keep it and know I have something to look forward to one day.

Book 5 or 6 is my personal favorite of the series! Memories of Ice is third favorite, but I know most malazan fans would say MoI is the best one. I've always wondered how it would go to introduce someone to this series by having the Midnight Tides be the first book they read.

@PlanetReelo I think its one of those things you have to grow up with. All the fans I know of got started with it at a early age. Personally I agree with you.

Rereading the first three Garrett PI books by Glen Cook. I had forgotten that the first two books were some of the weaker books he has written; I think he was getting a feel for the world, was still a inexperienced writer, and they could of used a better editor. I am current on the third, Cold Copper Tears, and its really good. From what I remember he will continue to write quality Garrett PI books except for the 8th one Petty Pewter Gods (which was a setback). Recommend this series for Dresden Fans.

Elementary season 5. Love this show!

I personally like the UK covers better (which they switched to in book 9). They also have given up on the original American covers and have now switched to publishing all ten books in the uk style so they match.

@Rebecca You should of thrown some coins at the people who got your costume wrong! -
So there are many reasons why the Kharkanus books have not been selling well. One of them is the cover art. They had a great cover for Forge of Darkness (or at least a much better one) and switched it out for the current one at the last second. Does anyone know why? Here is the original
