Okay, so we've got two coinshots now, and no clear Skaa kill. @A Budgie, I'd still like to hear why you thought Asterion was suspicious in D1, given that he seemed to be doing the same thing you where.

Have you looked at Brandon's non-Cosmere books? Just because they aren't in the Cosmere doesn't meant that there isn't an internally consistent magic system to discover.

We know that the destruction of Adonalsium was done by a group with very different ideals and personalities. Such a group is generally brought together by necessity, so I suspect that something forced their hand with regards to Adonlasium's destruction. We don't know if Adonalsium was actually a benevolent god. He could have been ambivalent to his creations, or even a jerk or a tyrant. Therefore, the group might have set out to destroy Adonalsium, and then found out that they had to take up the power or else someone else would (or Adonalsium might reform). Alternatively, some kind of existential threat had turned up that Adonalsium refused to fight, so those that took his power did so to do what he had refused to do. Maybe Adonalsium had fallen asleep and those that took his power did so because waking him was found to be impossible.

a budgie shqueeves Because its looking increasingly unlikely that someone else will come by to vote, and this way at least some info will be gained, I guess.

@Ookla the Walker of Roads, are you intending to actually vote on someone? Analysis is nice, but at this point some votes need to be made as well, especially because the total amount of votes made this cycle isn't enough to actually lynch anyone, even if they all are on the same person (because they are). I also have a sneaking suspicion that the thing that happens in case of a tie might also happen in case of a no-vote( @Ookla of Five, does it?). The same also goes for @Ookla the Rae, @Ookla the Wofl, @TheMightyLopen, @Megasif, @A Budgie, @Lemonelon, @Ookla the Healer, @Arinian, @Ookla the Inquisitive, @Arinian, @Rebecca, @cloudjumper, and all the other people that have signed up and that either have an Ookla name I can't find right now or that I'm just forgetting about.

Phattemer died a little while ago, Rae... Anyway, I'm going to vote on a budgie for now. The pot-and-kettle accusation of Asterion in D1 Takes on a bit of a new light now that we know that Asterion was an elim, as it could quite possibly have been a distancing attempt. I am still somewhat wary of Megasif, but he was rather active, so unless he's an elim coin-shot I don't see why he wouldn't have submitted the Skaa kill. That's it from me for the next 8 hours or so. If for some reason I do suddenly get lynched and don't get on again in time to pass on some information, might I suggest that you keep @Arinian alive for a bit? You might need him to clear som stuff up.

Okay, I mentioned this during D1, and it was mentioned in the write-up today, lending some credence to my theory that gold might help with finding Skaa. Has Darkness ever mentioned something about this, or useful results, in his house doc or in PM's? What's also very interesting is the lack of a clear Skaa kill. The previous two nights there was a kill that seemed to be clearly perpetrated by the Skaa, and it is missing to day. (@Ookla of Five, are blocked kills mentioned in the write-up?) Assuming for the moment that blocked kills are mentioned, I think there are two likely possibilities. Either the elim team is suffering from inactivity, or the remaining elims are all mistings and for some reason decided to use their powers instead of using their kill. A third option might be that they can't actually use their kill each night, or it's not a guaranteed thing. That third option is really only likely in my opinion if the elims do indeed have a killing power, or if there are more than usual. Of the two main options, I think inactivity is the most likely, as I can't imagine a lot of powers that would be better than the elims putting another person down, unless the elims believed themselves to be very safe. This line of thought initially made me somewhat more suspicious of LivingLegend, as he could fit the semi-inactive elim profile, but he'd been tie-breaker on the Asterion vote if I haven't miscounted the votes. There's a couple of other possibilities that I'll look into and discuss at a later point, but I wanted to mention Legend now as he was the first person that came into my mind that might fit. Once again, I'm going to be somewhat less active this day-cycle (I should be fine during the night).

I did a quick check, and despite the relatively low amount of votes that was made, everyone but @Ookla the Wofl and @Ookla the Inquisitive have been active during the last day. I've sent young Bard (aka ookla the inquisitive) a PM, and will do the same for Sami next day cycle if I'm still alive and she hasn't shown herself yet. If I die, I'd appreciate it if someone else could PM her.

Right, I'd intended that as being those on the receiving end, but I can see how it could be read otherwise. @Arinian, though I wouldn't mind getting an aluminium spoon, I'm not quite willing to get stabbed to get it at this point in time .

Pretty sure Alv was a voter, and not a votee in the D1 lynch. Road, Asterion and Drake where the ones getting voted on.

Now I almost feel like lynching roadwalker, just to check wether all involved in the D1 tie square-dance where elims (which would be hilarious). There's something else I've noticed though, and that is that only about half of the living players voted yesterday. You'd expect people to get involved when there seems to be a rather polarizing vote going on. Or maybe that's just my way of thinking, and others see it differently.

@manookla the ookla, could you ensure that vote gets colored in? I was about to break the tie in the other direction as lynching my secondary suspicion is preferable over a tie, and I'd rather not keep my vote in place thinking the tie is broken when it isn't. Also, @Ookla the Rae, I believe you wanted a reminder to look into Asterion?

Allright, let's get back to my list of people. I'll start with Asterion, as he seems to be the focus of a lot of suspicion. Overall, I've got a slight elim lean on Asterion. Rebecca has posted twice, and most of her posts where RP. No read. ( @Rebecca, poke-notification as her last post is about two days ago now). Next up is Rae. So overall, I'm leaning somewhat village on Rae, but as mentioned above, that is in part due to a gut-feeling of one particular post, so take that with a pinch of salt. Next on my list is a Budgie. I've got a Neutral read on her. Okay, at this point I think I'm going to just put down the results form my notes, as I really don't have much in the way of unique insights on the remainder. If necessary, I'll elaborate more on them later. I've got a Neutral read on Arinian. Him switching votes between Megasif and Roadwalker looks odd, but unless someone from his house comes forward to deny what he claimed, I'm going to assume he's telling the truth there. Neither Shqueeves, nor Young Bard have been active enough for me to get a read on them. I'm reading ever so slightly elim on LivingLegend, for what seemed to be an attempt to start a lynch based on inactivity D1. I'm reading village on Lopen, because of his vote on Drake D1, and on Doc, based mostly on gut and Pm interactions (so take that with a pinch of salt). I'm not going to move my vote right now, but if necessary I will break the tie against Asterion later on. I'm just a bit more suspicious of Megasif than of Asterion right now. Edit: In response to @Darkness_ There's a couple of things I want to mention. First of all, you're right in that I'm the only one opposing the idea that the Skaa are not evenly distributed. In fact, that is one of the reasons why I am opposing it. Everyone else seems to be taking it for granted, which makes me worry. It seems to be the most logical way to distribute, but there's no reason to assume that is is the only balanced way to distribute it, which I think would be the only criteria the GM would use for his distribution. This argument seems a bit contradictory to me. Either the Skaa are in all the docs, which means they know almost everything and information gathering between the houses doesn't really get them anything new, or they are not in all the Docs, and they gain something from houses spying one eachother. That does, of course, depend on how much information security each house uses in their doc. This one, I think I can explain(though I haven't done the self-analysis yet to determine whether it is true ). I generally can devote time to one of two things: RP or analysis. I haven't found a good way to balance those yet, as I either end up spending 30-60 minutes writing RP or doing analysis, and once I'm done with either, i generally don't have the will to also go do the other for the rest of the day. I've started out doing mostly RP, which meant my analysis lagged behind, and I've only now started to catch back up to everything that's going on as I missed most of C2. I mentioned my opposition to your idea once(and clarified my position a bit more in response to a question), yet you felt the need to respond either way. It's not how often you mention something, but the emphasis you put on it.

@Ookla the Rae, it's not neccesarilly guaranteed that the elims are unevenly distributed if darkness is evil. However the way he's promoting the even division idea would suggest that something is wrong with that if he is evil. Or that at least the elims gain something by having us believe that.

This will be an RP-light cycle for me as I make my way through the player-list and try to establish some concrete suspicions. This will be the first part, the second part will come either later today or in the night cycle. let's start with Megasif. Next up is Roadwalker: Lemonelon made only one RP post, and that's it. @Lemonelon, if you can, could you join us again? Okay, next up is BR: Darkness: First of all, Straw's last post was about 4 days ago. @Ookla the Insane, if you could join us again, I'd very much appreciate it. Straw's first post in the game was to enter the tie-tango at the end of D1. That's not how I'd have chosen to start the game of, to be honest. If his first vote hadn't been against Drake I'd have seriously wondered if he was an elim joining in to try and save Drake. As it is, I'm going to put those actions down as NAI. I'm going to quote his last post in its entirety here. Not because I've got much to say about it apart from the fact that t makes me leans somewhat village on him, but because people seemed to ignore it at the time, and he makes some very good points: I think it would be a pretty good idea to agree on some house representatives. The ball could easily function as a meeting place for this, provided every house keeps sending members, but it might be useful if there's a player from each house that can speak 'officially' for their house. So, my read on Straw at the moment is slightly village, mostly because of the suggestions I quoted above. Next is Sami. She's mostly done RP, and shared a couple of gut-reads. Her gut was wrong about Phattemer, and right about Alv. Gut-reads don't really allow for analysis by others, though, unless yous hare a lot of them. Overall, I've got a Neutral read on her. I haven't got much on Manukos either. He makes a couple of odd comments, such as initially assuming that all N1 kills where done by the Skaa (which might be indicative of him being village, only we don't yet know if the attack by the coinshot was done by the Skaa or not, so he could also have been a confused Skaa at that point). He voted on Roadwalker claiming that would give the most information, but never explained this claim properly. Overall, I've got a Neutral, or very, very slight elim read on Manukos. Shaney has only posted some RP, the most recent of which was posted last friday. @ShaneysRus, I'd appreciate it if you could join us again. That's it for now, as there's some other stuff I need to get to. I'll put my vote on Megasif for now, but I might change that later. If I have time, I'll also PM all of those that are currently inactive, but if someone else has more time than I do you should feel free to do it in my stead. Just mention that you've done so so that I won't be redoing what you've already done.

That's putting it mildly, Shqueeves. Is someone willing to share who knew about Alvron's role? It could be that the elims have bronze or something that allowed them to scan him so there is no way to narrow that down, but if there is a group of people that knew about his ability it might be worthwhile to at least look at them. I'd understand unwillingness to do so, of course, as it might reveal house-associations, but I have to ask as it could be useful info. @BrightnessRadiant, I've got a question for you regarding this post. If I remember correctly, steeldancer got coin-shotted. This cycle, the coin-shot seemed to be part of the pile-up on phattemer*. This somewhat suggests to me that the coin-shot could be village as well (stands at Neutral for me based on what happened these past two cycles) because the elims probably knew the phattemer hit was coming unless all involved where very quiet about it. Would you stand by the point of there only being 1 elim in your house if you would assume the coinshot hitting one of yours was just an accident? *That is assuming that it's the same coin-shot, but based on the amount of killing-power that seems to get thrown around I don't think there would be more than 1 coin-shot. edit: Also, I'm still rather tired from last weekend. I'll do my best to be active, but don't expect any in-depth analysis today.

Anyway, I'm back, and just about caught up. I haven't done any proper analysis yet, and won't tonight, as I'm very cycle. I do have time for a bit of RP though. “And then the Sliver picked a single victim from those shouting the loudest and condemned him to death, just like that.” Rufus Tekiel made a cutting motion with his hand, as if his hand was the blade that separated Darium’s head from his body. Knowing the Lord Ruler, this was probably a reasonable approximation of what had actually happened. “A good thing you weren’t there, old man. You do love a shouting match, and you would have probably drawn the lord Ruler’s ire down upon yourself.” Dorvan thought he could see the disappointment in Rufus’ eyes. The man was right, if Dorvan hadn’t been called away because of an emergency he might very well have been there, and he very much doubted that he’d be shouted down by anyone but the Sliver himself if his blood got up. He dismissed the thought of his own brains getting splattered over the floor and returned his attention to the young man in front of him. Rufus was a rising star in house Tekiel at the moment, and no doubt he would profit from the old guard like Dorvan getting eliminated. “Thank you, Rufus.” Dorvan gave him a smile he didn’t really feel. “That information might be useful in our hunt for Skaa infiltrators or Symphatizers. If that was all, you can go now.” “That was all. I’ll leave the logistics of this campaign to you… my lord.” Rufus got up and started to turn towards the door. Before he got halfway there though, Dorvan spoke up again. “Speaking of logistics, A Skaa was brought here a couple of hours ago. Apparently she wanted to talk to you. I've ordered her flogged for stepping out of line, and she'll be send to do hard labor away from the city. I just thought you should know." Dorvan noted a spark of recognition in Rufus's eyes, but the man kept his face in check and betrayed nothing. so Dorvan went for the killing stroke. “She looked pregnant. We might have to do something about that before sending her away.” This cracked Rufus' mask, and he couldn't hide his anxiousness as he hurried from the office. Dorvan sat back to wait. *** Several minutes later, a soldier was led into his study. he was part of a small contingent of veterans that Dorvan had brought with him back to Luthadel. He saluted, and then brought his report. "Rufus did as you predicted, Sir. He tried to use his standing to get us to release the woman to him. We captured him, and will discretely remove him from the city. We'll hold him for as long as you deem necessary. We've questioned him already, and he admitted to his relationship with the Skaa woman. He denied being involved with the house Variel attack, however." Dorvan nodded. "I'll get the truth out of him, eventually. I've left instructions with those you'll deliver him to regarding this." The Soldier nodded then went on. "What are we to do with the woman?" Dorvan considered his options for a moment. “She’ll be send to a client house, far from Luthadel. She’ll be introduced as a disgraced noble lady who slept with the wrong man. Make sure she understands the danger of revealing the truth. And let the house sheltering them know that if the child shows Allomantic potential, he or she will be welcomed back to Luthadel, and those who raised him or her will have house Tekiel’s gratitude.”

“All right, lieutenant, report.” Dorvan suppressed a yawn. His servants had woken him as soon as the lieutenant returned, so he’d had only a couple of hours of sleep. That was still more than the lieutenant had had, though. “Sire, we’ve checked all of the locations. We accounted for all of them… in a way.” The lieutenant looked worried about something. “In a way? Don’t tell me your men felt the need to have some ‘fun’ with every group.” Dorvan sighed. He should have expected this. The troops in the city just wouldn’t have the discipline around Skaa that his troops in the country-side had. “N-No, sir, that’s not it at all!” The lieutenant stammered. “We found the Skaa in 9 of the locations you mentioned, but in one place they were being rounded up by the Steel ministry. The cleaning crew belonging to Variel Attaquan you wanted us to check up on had apparently killed their lord. Most of them escaped, and the steel ministry was rounding up the remainder.” Dorvan kept his expression neutral. One of the groups he’d mentioned had been actual rebels? And they’d decided to make their move right as he’d sent men to look into them. Well, it worked for him. If they slipped up this easily, he’d have the Skaa and Skaa-sympathizers purged from his fellows by the end of the week. “If that’s all, lieutenant, you and your men can go rest. You’ve done well. Remember, you are not to speak to others about this operation.” “There’s one more thing, sir. We heard the news as we were heading back to the keep. Apparently Lord Kyrain and lady Dawn have both found an untimely end tonight.” “Lord Kyrain and lady dawn? I hadn’t expected the Skaa to move quite this boldly.” Dorvan couldn’t keep surprise off his face this time. “From what we heard, Sir, it seemed like a coinshot might have done Lady Dawn in. Lord Kyrain seemed to have been the victim of an experienced assassin.” “If that’s all, Lieutenant, you should go get some rest. And tell the servants outside that I won’t need their services for the next 5 minutes, and that they shouldn’t enter my office, nor should they let anyone else in.” *** A small group of servants waited outside Dorvan’s room, listening to the noises coming from inside and wincing at every crash. “That sounds like…yes, that’s it for the desk. Joven, Mira, go down to the storage and get a new one ready, would you.” The Steward was handing out orders in a whisper, ensuring that the office could be refurbished in minutes after Lord Tekiel was done. “Oh, for the love of.., that chair was 200 years old. Josef, go get a new chair from storage. Something replaceable this time, please.” After about 5 minutes the noise ended and Lord Tekiel came stalking out of his study. “Steward, I want the house fortified and prepared for the worst. Some fools have decided this might be a good time to provoke a house war.” He drew in a ragged breath. “And if that’s what they want, I’ll be only too happy to give it to them.” As I mentioned yesterday, I won't be active for most of this cycle, so this'll probably be my only day post. I really hope that what happened tonight was due to a couple of vigilantes trying to take out suspected Skaa, or the Skaa revealing to have far more kills than expected, because I'd like to think people wouldn't be trying to get a leg up over rival houses at this stage yet. If that is the case, however, then I would suggest those houses take a look at who might have recommended such a course of action. Edit: also, despite what I just said in my RP, I've no intention of moving away from my earlier commitment to focus on the Skaa-issue, rather than house-politics.

logical me: There's no way someone would bus a fellow elim D1 to the point of death... me with better memory:*ahem*. logical me: shut up, MR 25 doesn't count. --- Anyway, I've gone over the votes from yesterday again, and it started with Phattemer breaking the tie against Roadwalker. Alvron then first brought Asterion into the tie-business, and then Drake, which would suggest that he wasn't trying to protect drake. If he was trying to protect someone, it would probably be roadwalker, but he kept him in the tie mix as well, so that's not extremely likely. Overall, I'm inclined to read Alvron's votes at the end of D1 as NAI now that I've looked over it properly again. edit: I'm going camping from the 24th to the 26th. This means that apart from the very start of D2 and the end of N2, I won't be active at all next cycle.

@phattemer, my apologies. I'd noticed you where initially playing tie-breaker, but as the vote madness continued I'd thought you started to get in on the whole tie-thing. Another look over the votes and how they progressed showed that you weren't.

okay, so the vote's turned into a bit of a mess right after I signed off. Let's see if I can make some sense of it. [rambling] Anyway, I find it rather interesting that Drake was a zinc misting when that was combined with the attempts to keep the vote tied up. I'm no expert, but I'd say that a zinc misting could probably mess with a tie. From a quick glance over the votes, it seemed Phattemer, Asterion, Alvron and Straw where involved in trying to keep the tie. Though trying to figure out what would happen in case of a tie is a reasonable explanation, I can't help but wonder if someone was trying to give the Zinc Skaa an opening to slip out of trouble without standing out. Then again, it would probably have been possible to get Drake out of the firing line in its entirety by focusing the vote towards Asterion and Roadwalker, so I'm not sure how much this suspicions is worth. On to other matters, Lopen put a vote on Drake and stuck it there based on suspicions, rather than the tie dance, which makes me lean a bit more village on him. Then again, it's Drake that just got killed, and keeping the dastardly/fantastic move he pulled in MR25 in the back of my head I'm not going to rule out some advanced bussing. [\rambling] In conclusion, I'm leaning slightly village on Lopen, and will keep an eye on Phattemer, Asterion, Alvron and Straw.
