  1. Let me start out by saying this; YES! HAHAHAHAHAH! I feel justified now. Okay, now for some actual responding and analysis stuff. I'm not sure whether I like this or not. I'm not sure I want to risk village deaths, but at the same time, getting the info might be worth the risk... I'm going to withhold judgement on this one. Combined with my earlier suspicion of you, Joe, this looks an awful lot like a scared Elim trying to stop Village Coinshots from killing more Elims. A general note on Hero; His attacks on Dalinar over the whole game make me slightly less suspicious of him. It's possible that he was just super-bussing a teammate, but that seems kinda odd, considering how singular his focus was. A general note on Wilson; I honestly don't think that Wilson is an Elim. It doesn't look like she's being smoked, which is interesting. I'm going to stay saying I feel neutral about her, just to be safe. The whole suspecting Dalinar was innocent is something I can totally see, especially as being a 'I'll be justified if I'm right and nothing will happen if I'm wrong' villager attitude. I'm going to have to agree with Sart here. This seems pretty likely to me, however, we don't really have a way to confirm or deny it, so I'd suggest erring on the side of caution. Despite my overarching suspicion of Rae, the analysis she's doing seems really risky for an Elim. I'm still probably going to vote on either Joe or Rae next cycle, but other than that I think I'm going to need to think about my suspicions again. It will be good to re-read the thread knowing about a confirmed Elim. I'm currently happy about the way this is going, and I think I'll have a more in-depth player analysis by the next day cycle. I'm also wondering if part of the reason we saw so much resistance of the Dalinar lynch was because Meta did something interesting with Mistborn and Role-less for the Elim team. Carmichael was not entirely happy with the results of the lynch. No one had accepted his bet against Dalinar, so all he could do was go home with his money. Which, was admittedly, better than losing his money, which happened occasionally, but still. A day without gambling was like a day without sunshine. Suddenly, out of the corner of his eye, Carmichael saw something. Nicki, AND that Terris steward – What was his name? Gah, he had it on the tip of his tongue... Ah yes, Herwynbe – talking in Nicki's shop. What were they doing at this hour? And of course, Nicki had been acting suspicious all yesterday... Carmichael paused, realizing that he could also be asked why he was out at night. Hm. Well, he was always out anyways. Besides, no one would question him. His persuasive skills were the talk of the town, and he had played a key role in the Spiked lynch yesterday. Carmichael shrugged. No harm could come from watching them for a bit.
  2. Just a note; People who are voting on Lopen are asking for vote manipulation. Which is really suspicious.
  3. This makes absolutely no sense. Yes, there has been a net decrease in conversation. It's because we wasted two lynches. And now, Rae, you're telling us to waste every bit of conversation centered around Dalinar by not learning his alignment. (Same applies to Wilson and Joe, I think.) You've ignored my comments about why we should lynch Dalinar and not leave other things up to a Coinshot. This makes me very suspicious of you. What is it about Dalinar that makes his lynch so completely awful? What about it would instantly cost the village their win? I'll also point out that you're referring to the village as a separate entity. This is odd, but it's something I do as well, so I'm not sure it's alignment indicative. Right now, we're seeing the same kind of resistance piling up around the Dalinar lynch that we did D1. It's coming out of nowhere, piling votes on a player who's not super suspicious, IMO, and the reason is 'Oh, we speculate the Spiked have a Lurcher? Wait, Lopen claimed to be a Lurcher? Lopen must be the Spiked lurcher!' What kind of logic is that? Joe's reasons for voting on Lopen I can see, maybe, but that switch he just made sets off alarm bells everywhere. I could really see him having noticed a bandwagon forming, and was told by his team (or decided for his team) to hop on it to save the Elim Mistborn. The slip he made seems justifiable to me. I personally doubt that there are more than one Spiked Lurcher. That just seems overpowered. If Lopen doesn't turn out to be the Spiked lurcher, we'll become suspicious of you, we'll still know nothing about Dalinar, and there will still be a full Elim team. This is just me, but those seem like really bad odds. I wouldn't bet on something that slim, not when we have a perfectly decent lynch right here. And what? Probe their defenses? What the heck does that mean? And now we have three or four votes on Lopen. Wow, that happened quickly. Kind of reminds me of what happened to Ecth D1, in fact. Good. I'm glad you aren't willing to assume Dalinar is spiked. Would you mind, perhaps, lynching him to learn whether he is or not? I still don't think Dalinar needs to be discussed any more. I like all the discussion we're having about lynching him, even if it is drawing away from other things, but I feel like we can discuss other lynch options while still lynching someone for info. I don't think that Dalinar is an Elim, per say. But I do think we need to get rid of him so we can move on. He can't survive this lynch, but he might be able to survive a coinshot. I don't think it will make up for what we have lost. Do you think anything will? I don't. The Elims have played their cards well. Dalinar's lynch isn't a good option, but it's probably the best option. TL;DR: Not lynching Dalinar makes little to no sense. It takes away the brightest light we can currently shine on past events, in exchange for, what? No other lynch will give us the info his does. Oh, now there's a bandwagon on Lopen? That reminds me of C1! Lets not let that happen again. Rae and Joe are suspicious. Possibly Lopen. Coinshot can pick and choose a target. Dalinar might survive a Coinshot attack, but not a lynch! Elim Lurcher ≠ Random Lurcher. Lopen's slip-up ≠ to a big thing. Mage's TL;DR's = almost as long as his posts. Carmichael walked up to Jack. "What's that you say? A Spiked Seeker?" Carmichael said, grinning, "The odds on that are laughable! [seventeen Boxings and a Carriage], you say? I like the sound of that! Consider your bet taken!" Carmichael strode off, laughing. An Elim seeker? The gods above would never have apportioned such a silly thing to the Spiked. Besides, everyone knew Seekers were the most trustworthy of the Metalborn. He chuckled to himself. He could use a Carriage. He might need it if the Koloss ever did arrive. Perhaps he would even take a few people with him. People with deep pockets and an affinity for gambling, perhaps. I don't necessarily think it's unlikely that the Elims have a seeker, but Carmichael can't resist a good gamble.
  4. Ok. I apologize for lumping you in with that group of people. I probably shouldn't have spoken how I did about you being frustrated with me saying you were quiet. I tend to find you going off about how people view you mildly frustrating, so I did lash out a bit. Sorry. The bolded bit made me laugh. It's true, but the phrasing is amusing. See, I'm pretty sure that there's a lurcher on the Elim team. Plus, seeing as we have a Coinshot, and what seems to be the best way to kill Dalinar is the lynch, I don't see why the discussion should center around Dalinar either. But I'm also not seeing people bring up a lot of other good topics. Rae has said something about Bugsy, but he hasn't responded, so I'm unsure what to do there. Yes, there's the thing about Hero, but that will be so much easier to deal with once Dalinar's alignment is known. I want to know Dalinar's alignment. I can speculate all I want, but I don't know, and I like to work with facts. Which is why I think we should lynch him as soon as possible. There should be no way for him to block this lynch. People arguing against it, especially after he was protected by a lurcher, seems odd to me. I think that since Dalinar's been holding up the lynch, there are now a number of targets for the Coinshot/s, and the Elims can't protect them all. So we can have the Coinshot/s target them. Easy peasy. Dalinar's gone, you guys can discuss away after confirming the lynch, and give the coinshot/s some options. I would have liked to have some RP for this post, but I don't have time. Hopefully I'll be able to later.
  5. To be fair, I do think that El, Hero, Rae, and Joe(In a Bush) are all somewhat suspicious. (Not really sure about Rae) But I think that we need to kill Dalinar before we do anything else, and let the Coinshots deal with the rest.
  6. Wilson, one post every cycle, even assuming you mean turn, and not every 72 hours, is not super active. And, yes, Wilson, you have a right to be as active as you'd like. But you yourself posted this last day cycle; And proceeded to not post in the night cycle. Which is fine. It's just kinda quiet. You've made at least a post every cycle, and you were fairly active D1, so yes, you're active, but I still think that you've been quieter than normal. It's not bad, I'm not accusing you of anything, and I'm not bothered by it, but you've made eight posts in 192 hours. That's about a post a day, including a post a sentence long and a post just about first-day voters. Block posts are great, but it's dialogue between players that allows me to read them. So yes, you've been kind of quiet. Sure, don't increase your activity. That's fine. My read on you hasn't changed. I don't know. I feel like at this point, if we do kill him, which seems likely, then a whole ton of the conversation surrounding him should become easier to analyze. At this point, I'm not confident that he's an Elim, but I still think he needs to die so we can move on. Sorry Dalinar. You've been put in a bad position, if you are a villager.
  7. Do you have a better lynch option to put forth? I, for one, think highly of my opinion, but by virtue of my great humility and ability to compromise, would be happy to hear other suggestions. Plus, I wouldn't bet on Dalinar surviving another lynch. It doesn't make sense that he'd roll Thug twice in a row, and I doubt the Elims have enough vote manips to save him, assuming he is an Elim.
  8. Huh. I'd assumed that the Elims attacked Straw, and Jondesu was Coinshot-ed. Just because, like you said, it doesn't make sense for the Elims to have targeted Jondesu. But I'm not sure, because Jondesu doesn't seem like he should have been coinshot-ed either. Because I'm bored, I'm going to make a list. Wheeee. Assassin In Burgundy: Assassin has been acting in this game in ways that are pretty different than how I've seen him act as an Elim. I think. Elenion: This person, regardless of their inferior looks, seems to be acting fairly normally. However, a few of his actions have made me feel a little odd about him. Still leaning village, which, I suppose, is odd for me. Seonid: Leaning village. It looks like he's trying to be helpful overall, plus good gut read. A Joe in the Bush: I... don't know. I have a bad feeling about Joe, even though I'm not sure I have a good reason to be. Jondesu: Probably village. I doubt the Elims would attack one of their own, and I don't think a Coinshot would have targeted Jondesu. But why would a Coinshot have targeted Straw? Idk. Manukos: Seems pretty quiet. He just posted while I was writing this, but I still feel like he's too quiet for me to make a good judgement. I_Am_Stick: Fairly neutral read. I honestly wish they would post more, because they're posting pattern always sets off alarm bells in my head. Wyrmhero: I'm loving the RP, but it makes it hard for me to know what's going on in his head. Plus it's all really long. Nyali: Was away. Idk RN. Too many people are quiet. Herowannabe: I'm vaguely suspicious of them, but I'll wait until Dalinar dies to say more. If Dalinar is an Elim, than I'll become pretty certain Hero is village, but if he isn't... Idk. I think that I'll be suspicious of the people who voted on Hero if Dalinar is an Elim. Arinian: Too quiet. -sigh- LURKERS. COME OUT. Conquestor: Same as above. The bandwagon on him D1 was odd, but I'm not sure what to make of it. Silverblade5: Same as Arinian. Magestar: Best looking dude around. Even Carmichael would bet on him being good. Arraenae: I feel vaguely suspicious of Rae for the reasons I brought up D1. Doc12: Fairly village read. Has been helpful, if quiet. Hemalurgic_Headshot: Decent read. Mostly RP, but that's to be expected, I think. I believe that this is his first game, and I don't know what to say. Araris Valerian: Quiet. Idk what to say. Droughtbringer: Also kinda quiet. Stink: Also quiet now. Said some things that sounded village, but I can't tell with Stink. TheMightyLopen: I had a bad read on him, but I'm feeling neutral now. His last post differs from my suspicions quite a bit, so that's something I'll be watching, but other than that nothing much to say. Except, of course, that I'm better looking than him. And Stick, for that matter. Madagascar: Doing excellently with that RP. I admit, I have trouble reading her for the same reason that I'm having trouble reading Wyrm, however, I'm getting a village read. That lisp is epic. Plus, Madagascar is doing a pretty good job getting her thoughts through. Dalinar Kholin: I'm fairly certain he's an Elim. If he isn't, well, we just lost a village mistborn. We're probably dead. Drake Marshall: Fairly good read. Bugsy6912: Idk. I don't really have anything to say about Bugsy. Gamma Fiend: Seems to be lurking, but paying attention. Fairly good read overall. Little Wilson: Idk. I'd say that I think Wilson is village, but honestly she's been quiet too this game. The whole shenanigans at the beginning of the game makes me want to watch her more closely, but I haven't had the opportunity. Sart: Too quiet. Orlock Tsubodai: Also quiet, but village read. Wonko the Sane: Also quiet, but slight Elim read. Elbereth: I'm actually kind of suspicious of El. She's been quiet, her posts are making me feel odd, and even though she's been on a bit and has followed this cycle she hasn't said anything. Plus a bad gut read. Honestly, if for no other reason, it's the conversation direction she did C1. The short argument she had with Len just felt forced. Dang. That took way too long. For reference, I started when Assassin's post came in. Admittedly, I did take a break that was a couple hours long, but still. Doc, I apologize for being a bit quiet. I've been trying to accompany all my posts with some RP, so I usually wait until I have something really important to say to say it. So I made a list. Carmichael wiped his forehead. Making lists like this always tired him out. True, he did take a nap sometime in between, but still! Making lists was hard work. However, he was confident that his list was the best list ever created. He grinned in satisfaction, looking down at the page of numbers and letters. Carmichael stood up, stretching. He looked outside, and saw that a crowd of people were forming around Reginald. He smiled. Whatever you could say about Reginald, he did have style. Surviving multiple attempts on his life, and in such a way? Now that took finesse. And not a small portion of awesomeness. He sat for a moment in thought. Carmichael reached into his desk, and pulled out a sack of Boxings. He walked downstairs. After opening the door, he paused for a moment, then slammed it shut violently. Confident he had gotten at least a few people's attention, he through the bag of boxings down on the ground. "I'm willing to bet all of this," Carmichael announced, "that Reginald won't be able to survive this lynch!"
  9. It is easy! It;s just time consuming. Huh. I didn't know that. The other way does sort of pale in comparison.
  10. If I want to know how many times one person has posted in the thread, I go to their profile an check the number of posts under the title of the cycle. This only works for cycle by cycle stuff, and I'm not sure if there is an easier way. I think if I wanted a post tally and wanted to know how many times people had posted I would just go through the thread adding ticks to a player list.
  11. Ok. I'm going to put my vote down on Dalinar. Dalinar, I don't honestly know whether or not you're an Elim, but I do think your lynch will provide us with the most information. At this point, that's something I think we are desperately in need of. Not sure how voting proves your not a vote manip. You could just not use your abilities, or the vote manips could not use their abilities, implicating you, and so on. Another day, another long, tiring argument about who to lynch. Carmichael shook his head. There was a reason mobs of people never got anything done. This reason, was, obviously, mob mentality. Carmichael wasn't precisely sure what this meant, however, he was certain it was bad. Which was, of course, why they were lynching Reginald. When all else fails, lynch the center of attention. Carmichael continued walking through town, lost in thought. He suddenly stopped, after hearing what Cassius was saying. He blinked. There was no way he had said that. Had he? No! That's impossible. Stick and Soth were good looking, sure, but neither even compared to Carmichael. He turned, taking a closer look at Cassius. Come to think of it, Carmichael was certain he was better looking than Cassius, too. The sheer nerve of the man! He hadn't even mentioned Carmichael when talking about good looking people! The audacity!
  12. Can I use other languages? If so, what would be the ruling for other players translating said language? I'd assume Google Translate would be out for the same reason decoding websites are out, but would a English to [Random Language] dictionary or something of the sort be allowed?
  13. I'd like to sign up. My character's name will be Joe Bond. Everyone should totally have Bond as their last name. I have a few questions. Is there a lynch? 'Coffee', the Roleless can't create PMs, right? So basically, until a 'Contacts' does something, all Role-less can do is RP, right? These bits seem mildly contradictory. That's all, for now.
  14. I don't know. The Dalinar lynch seems really contrived to me. I mean... I wouldn't be surprised if he was saved just to give us an easy target. I've seen it happen before. But now it's a big IKYK, so I'm still in the neutral zone about Dalinar. Yup. I didn't say much. A large portion of that PM was RP and some talk about Vigenere stuff. Nothing too important, I don't think? A lot of RP, which didn't seem to be super meaningful, but I didn't try to read into it. Don't worry, Lopen. You're only one standard deviation of the mean from my suspicion of everyone else. I'm going to agree with what I think Wyrm is saying. Hero is definitely one of my main suspicions. I don't think anyone took Carmichael's bread. Carmichael was wandering the city, attempting to avoid the crazy cat lady. He had always thought himself able to defend himself against anything, but those cats... He shuddered. He would never bet against those cats. Carmichael found himself unsure what to do next. People, friends even, who he had known for years were dying all around him. He sighed. These were difficult times, and besides, what could he do about it? Anyways, he could take care of himself. If other people couldn't, well, that was none of his business. He would go on, gambling, surviving. If he needed to, he could leave town before anything really bad went down. He looked about. He shrugged. He could leave whenever he wanted. Of course he could. Carmichael uses his Narcissism as a sort of buffer. He doesn't like having people rely on him, and thinks growing attached makes him vulnerable, so he focuses on himself. He's fairly good at gambling, so he gets what he needs like that. He usually doesn't stay in one place for long, but he likes Tyrian Falls, for whatever reason, and likes the people here. So he's been around for a few years.
  15. Thanks a lot Len. Thanks for that. Erm. A few of these Docs are still open. And there weren't any Cog Realm Docs after me? Hmmm. I might regret completely flipping out in the Cognitive Realm. Guys, don't take any of that seriously. On another note, I actually put the most in a Cog Realm doc. Not that any of it was important. Edit; That reveal in the Autonomy's Agent Doc had me laughing and laughing. That was hilarious. Edit 2; The Autonomy Doc is OK to. Meh. Edit 3; It's seriously disappointing how many people considered converting me, and ended up not doing it. COME ON PEOPLE. CONVERT MEH. Edit 4; Watching Bard think about converting me is painful. face palm @The Young Bard, why did you think I was Endowment? Edit 5; Lol. Mage is not Devotion!? What!? Bard, watching you theorize about who has which Shards is amazing.
  16. Thanks. Now I feel justified in complaining a bit. Interestingly enough, Wilson, it was your game that I survived. Ecth, if you ever get down, just look at my survival rate. Agreed. MR17 had a very, very nice system. I'd like to see some more stuff like that. I feel like a Nalthis game run with Breaths could do a similar thing, if you could get the Flavor to work.
  17. One should be starting within the next week or so. It's an LG, which I personally find one of the best for starting out with. That's just a personal preference, though. If you want more information, you should ask in this thread; Please do join us. We're always looking for fresh meat players!
  18. Oh. I just read the thread. Must have missed that. In that case, blame Len.
  19. Etch, you should have seen my first few games. I typically don't put a lot of work into making characters to begin with, but I do know your pain. I died C1 in a couple of my first games, and in quite a few of them I was villager. It happens. In LG24... I couldn't find out why you died there. shrugs Plus I got all cringey reading over that game. I was so... naive. shudders In LG25, you were targeted because of 'How insightful you had been in previous games' In QF20, you were lynched on a misunderstanding. It could happen to anyone. In AG3, well, I can't say anything more than I did in-thread. That percentage seems right, however, there are people who die more in the first cycle. It happens. A lot of it is random. But keep playing. Despite the fact that I always seem to find you and Len suspicious (sorry. ), I do enjoy playing with you. If you feel like you're putting too much work into your characters for what you're getting from them, then maybe put a little less work in. I tend to build up my characters as the game progresses, (If I put effort a character) so that I don't feel let down if they die early.
