  1. "The building was on fire an it wasn't my fault. And then the murders began" It's probably a good description of every Dresden book.
  2. It's probably for the best, I'm not sure where you live, but where I live those things can cost at least a hundred euros. I would understand not telling about normal calculators, but letting him keep that would go to far.
  3. You get two girls. *Inserts Cthugha*
  4. Nice, good to know about. Edit: the link doesn't seem to be working for me, I have to copy-paste it.
  5. So the fact that a serious TLR would probably defeat a Herald seems to be confirmed, but how about one of the most special abilities the Heralds have: They can come back from the dead. TLR doesn't seem to have a technique that can kill a Herald in a way that makes them impossible to revive, so they should be able to just come back and try again. I think that after a few thousand attempts they should be able to come up with a tactic that can defeat him (basically Herald zombie apocalypse). Also, when it comes to Soulcasting, can't they just Soulcast his surroundings into some kind of horrible deathtrap? It probably wouldn't kill him, but you could possibly distract him and get the jump on him.
  6. The reason for this difference is because the Kandra were already sentient (kind of) but had a block between the physical and the cognitive realm. The Spikes fixed that for them. Nightblood's sentience is because a large enough amount of Investure will naturally gain sentience (the same thing happens with spren on Roshar).
  7. Lurcher, metals are extremely common in buildings nowadays, so you could probably slingshot around the city. Would you rather have to live on Dayside Taldain, or a Fainlife invested Yolen?
  8. Try this: http://www.theoryland.com/listintv.php Most WoB can be found here, although there are also a lot hanging around on reddit.
  9. I don't think so, because the maximum amount of Investure a spike can contain is equal to somebody's Innate Investure. We also have this WoB: http://www.theoryland.com/intvsresults.php?kwt='nightblood' https://www.reddit.com/r/books/comments/2ytg2h/im_novelist_brandon_sanderson_ama/cuoajxq/?context=3 This seems to indicate that the Investure in filled metalminds would be enough to put up at least some resistance to a Shardblade. However, because of the low amount of Investure inside the spike, this seems to indicate that it would probably only resist a bit, if you're lucky. the Shardblade probably wouldn't be hindered that much.
  10. You get rich! *inserts grim reaper's scythe*
  11. Of course, which taste would you like, iron, copper, the souls of the damned, the souls of the innocent milk chocolate, pure chocolate, raisins. They're all delicious.
  12. Granted, the Nightwatcher gets rid of the memories for you. As your bane, you now have an overwhelming compulsion to watch YA romantic movies like Twilight. I wish to know what that thing is. It's creeping me out.
  13. A shooting club by prof. Wax and prof. Marasi Fencing club by prof. Sarene (woman only) Dueling club by prof. Zahel and prof. Adolin (man only) Chasmfiend hunting club by prof. 14. The bloodsealer was actually drawn by a Sharder, @Botanica. Her other TeS artwork is here: She also has some other cool artwork in the gallery on other subjects.
  15. Welcome, have a cookie.
  16. You get banned! *Inserts a thousand souls*
  17. You get Dalinar! *Inserts Necronomicon*
  18. A Cognitive Shadow, because you could go around exploring the Cosmere and probably hang around in Silverlight. Would you rather be a Aluminium Misting or a Duralumium Misting?
  19. "Sales are picking up again."
  20. Hello, Maybe @Chaos can decide if it needs to be moved over. In the mean time, on your theory: The Feruchemical lerasium probably wouldn't fly, as it deals with external objects, and Feruchemy can only store the attributes of the Feruchemist, not of other objects. I do like the other ideas. Also, have an upvote and a cookie:
  21. Slight typo at 0:42, you typed Mistbon, but really cool otherwise. How did you do the mist effect on the letters, Particles?
  22. You get @A Budgie's maths test, but without the answers! *Inserts Hastur* (I need to get rid of these things before my SAN gets to zero)
  23. You get a B+ (Don't really know American grading systems, guessing this is alright). *Inserts Cthulhu*
  24. Physics 108: Practical applications of Newton's laws by prof. Kelsier, with prof. Kaladin as assistant.
  25. *You get a duck* *Inserts glowing rock*
