I used to be the only one in the class to use a laptop, so when making a test I always used a symbol font (the impossible to read ones) and then converted it back to normal when handing in the test. I don't think anybody ever cheated by watching my screen .

Reading fantasy (otherwise I wouldn't be here) and sometimes science fiction, programming (mainly c++) and games (currently Warframe and Elite: Dangerous). I also like world building, but I don't really write anything down.

I don't really agree with this, at our school, if we chose music as one of our subjects (it's mandatory for the first three years) we learn quite a lot about playing instruments, especially the piano. In the final year we even do an entire show, were everybody needs to do play at least two instruments (voice counts as an instrument). We also get a lot of theory, and if we wanted to we could even join in on an composer contest. Edit: the country I'm talking about is The Netherlands.

Selish FTL could perhaps work by creating the Aons at Sel, and using them to create two way portals. That way you just need a communication system to ask for a portal back. Because the portal generation system is on Sel, you would get around the range issues.

I think it would be unlikely, as nobody ever notes her looking different from other Rosharans. If someone had brought her, than they would also have had access to some form of magic that can change a person's appearance. While this is possible with illusions, I think that the larkin eating her stormlight would have also gotten rid of it. this would mean that someone used a form of magic on her that can permanently change appearances, and the only think we know that can do that is Dakhor. If she is in some way connected to worldhopping, I think it would be one of her parents. Also, Allomancy on different planets would still work as it would on Scandrial. Edit: ninja'd, kind of

Slight tangent, but could a Surgebinder on Scandrial use the mists as fuel? It seems to me that it would be fairly close to Stormlight. I think that they should be able to, but I'm not sure if they need a strong connection to Preservation/Harmony first. If they could, this could make them really strong during Scandrial's nights.

Illumination perhaps? Illumination is described as manipulating different types of waves, like light waves and sound waves. Going by how Allomantic bronze works it seems to me that kinetic Investure creates some kind of waves, as bronze mistings sense investure as waves. This could mean that the surge of Illumination has the possibility of hiding kinetic Investure.
