Moonglow looked at Eidolon's nod, and shook her head. "Ah, sorry, but I won't be going myself," she said. "I still have other matters to attend to as well, administrative, mostly, and heading out to meet a new Epic who apparently decided to create his own territory isn't something to just do on a whim. Especially since I've claimed territory of my own it can easily be seen as an attack. Things like that need to be arranged beforehand. I'll be sending an associate of mine, but I won't go myself, not until a formal meeting is agreed upon."
-
"That still doesn't explain much..." Moonglow muttered as the building reappeared, luckily enough, and whatever Eidolon had done seemed to have stopped as well. She wondered if it might have something to do with that disappearing act he pulled though, given that moving into a different world or dimension could work though. At that moment her mobile rang. "Yes..." she answered after hearing them out, "dealing with other Epics... Hmm, alright, increase the guard, just to be sure, and keep rapid response units ready for the next few days, in case they're not gone." She paused slightly as they mentioned something else. "No, now that you mention it, I hadn't noticed. A bubble covering a large industry section is rather subtle, but I'll take a look anyway." She added, her voice dripping with sarcasm. Not very professional, but she needed to blow of some steam, and killing them wasn't an option, partially because they weren't present. "Well, apparently Depravity's monsters retreated again," she told Eidolon, "so I guess it's time to go check out my new neighbour to the south-east."
-
Moonglow watched as the girl disappeared and the building vanished, and blinked in surprise. She blinked again when Eidolon did something, which made her sense of touch suddenly vanish. "First of all, maybe explain what you just did?" She asked, somehow still calm. The only two reasons she didn't already fire at Eidolon was because she wasn't certain if he could defend against it, which would defeat the purpose, and because be might still be useful somehow.

Moonglow actually facepalmed at Cy's behaviour. Either she was a very powerful epic, or an utterly stupid one that either just got their powers or was bizarrely lucky, and the fact that she was currently bleeding from her hand indicated it was probably the stupid option. "Ugh, sure," she said, in a 'I can't deal with this nonsense' tone. "Just... you two finish up whatever it is you two are trying to do to each other, I still need to deal with that sparking forcefield once I deal with Depravity's stuff, and I'd prefer not to spend time dealing with this too." She thought against aiding one of the two against the other, but she had no clue about either of the two's full powerset, and if she failed to kill the one she tried to get rid of she'd have an angry cape, not to mention what'd happen if they'd kill her. And of course, there was the fact that she didn't really fancy siding with either of the two.

Shade nodded. "I've been asked to pick up an order for the Anarchist?" She said, not entirely certain. She hadn't been given a fake name to use, so she figured that whoever ran the shop was aware of him, but it still felt wrong, using his actual name instead of some sort of pseudonym. It felt unsafe too, a good way to accidentally get caught out.

"My name is Moonglow," she told him. "As for where I'm going? I'll be searching around this area for them until I can get enforcement gathered in this area." And if they don't arrive soon, she thought to herself, I'll be executing some of them as a warning against sheer incompetence. She normally preferred to avoid big punishments like those, because of how they could set people up against her, especially with her power base not properly secured, but for things like these she was more than willing to make an exception. At that moment a girl suddenly appeared behind Eidolon though, and somehow he fell towards the ground. She wasn't entirely certain, but it was pretty clear the girl had been responsible for it. Bad idea, she thought. Trying to throw the flyer of the building would just piss them off. As expected Eidolon quickly returned and Moonglow frowned as the girl made the letters appear. And then she frowned again when somehow a copy of Eidolon appeared, grabbing her and starting to cut her wrist, though for some reason he didn't kill her, which showed some remarkable self-constraint. In response to the girl's question she simply sighed. "You know someone is quite close to just deciding to kill you, right?" She asked in an exasperated tone. "Anyway, I'm trying to deal with some monsters from Depravity, so I request you two take your fight or whatever out of this area, maybe go bother Pariah or the government." Of course they wouldn't know, Laplace thought, slightly annoyed. Then again, this situation was so messed up that it wasn't any surprise, to be honest. "I understand," she said instead. "It isn't too surprising anyway, given that you've apparently skipped over at least six months, if you don't remember doing anything after the meeting aside from ending up here. However, if you do remember anything about it, I'd highly appreciate it if you'd be willing to tell me."

Shade knocked on the door, forcing herself to lower how much she was hiding her presence. She wasn't sure why she was the one sent to pick up the goods, but it was something to do, she figured. She was looking forwards to the coming chaos though, if everything went according to plan. @Ookla Fell From The Sky

Laplace sighed. Of course they wouldn't want to tell anything. "You don't want to tell period?" She asked. "Or do you want something in trade?" The first one would be an issue, but she suspected she should be able to deal with the second option, as long as it was reasonable. Though, even if they asked for something large she should be able to provide, one of the benefits of her intelligence, and the fact that she's an Epic. Moonglow looked up in surprise as the Epic reappeared. Fast, she thought, aiming her bow at him again. Incorporeality. An extremely useful power. Also an extremely dangerous one to have around, even if you have an automatic invincibility power like reincarnation. After all, spending every day being killed as soon as you went to bed or revived would be extremely annoying. Of course, on the other hand, it would be quite the tool for assassinations. Still, she had other issues right now. "I don't mind," she said, "but as I said before, I'm dealing with a number of Depravity's monsters invading right now, and I'd prefer to deal with them before they vanish into various buildings and I lose a couple dozen troopers trying to find them again. However, if you wish to help, I wouldn't have any issue with that."
-
Moonglow twitched as the man suddenly appeared in front of him, aiming her bow at him for a second before bringing it back down again, not judging him a threat. ”I see,” she said. ”I am currently busy dealing with an attack though. If you wish to help, you can. Otherwise I suggest speaking to one of the troopers. If you wish to live in this area but not join that is alright too, as long as you do not cause any troubles.” She flew backwards, not wishing to deal with this right now, when she suddenly noticed the giant forcefield on top of part of the southern industrial area, between her and Pariah's territories. She frowned, certain it hadn't been here yet this morning, meaning it must have happened around the same time as the attack. No way that could be a coincidence. Something to check out once this mess was over.

Laplace looked at the thumbs-up. Hard pass. No way she's stupid enough to fire at someone with a PI who's actively encouraging it. No way to know if they'll do something unpredictable that kills her. Instead she focused on her talking about what happened. It was hard to understand, but she was talking about a meeting with Epics, and an explosion or something, or violence, at least. She thought about it, matching it up with what she knew of events in the city. It made some sense. Epoch was a time manipulation Epic, so combine that with a PI, maybe some weird power interactions, and coming out after a couple months could work... "That meeting," she asked, finally sounding curious instead of annoyed, "was it the one called by Epoch? Could you tell me a bit more about it?" She wasn't sure if she would get something useful out of it, but any information about what happened might help her get a better idea of what's going on in the city, maybe get some power herself. Not only that, it might even give her a way to find out if other Epics survived, which could be both dangerous and useful. Moonglow took the elevator to the roof, where a silver aura surrounded her, and she jumped off the roof, immediately accelerating towards the bridge. She just hoped that whatever it was that was invading wouldn't get too far into her territory. Holding the bridge while also trying to root out any invaders would take a lot of effort. At least the moon was still waxing, so no big issues there. A few minutes later she arrived at the bridge, hovering above it, bow in her hand, trying to find any of her soldiers. She saw some corpses, but no monsters or living soldiers yet. She flew up somewhat, trying to see if she could see any panic from up there.

I don't really know. I have to admit I don't know much about the plot myself either, just Aylitha's task. I suspect that aside from FB Voidus might be the only one knowing all the details.

Karin walked to the place Lepidus killed the monsters, ignoring the corpses that were starting to slowly disintegrate. Instead she turned towards the alleys, following the armoured marine. "Hello there," she greeted him once they were far enough into the alleys. "Could we talk for a bit?" She asked, looking and sounding remarkably calm. Of course, being able to just move to a new body if killed probably helped quite a lot with that.

Moonglow brought the suddenly ringing mobile to her ear, listening to the quick and terse message being relayed to her. "On my way," she replied,"Send in the heavy weapons." She marched out of the door, past the people waiting there for her. "Attack on the southern bridge," she said to fill them in on the situation. "Apparently monsters, likely from the newcomer down south. I'm adjourning the planned meeting for now." She strode towards the nearest elevator, calling it, getting annoyed at the wait for it to arrive. She wondered which of the others would come with her. It would be a nice way to see how much she could trust them.
-
Karin groaned. trying to decide as the woman started to near the alley she was hiding in. Finally she just pulled something out of her pocket, a small black bug, and tossed into her direction, where, if it'd hit, it would try to attach itself to the clothing, leaving behind a special chemical trail. Not something humans could smell, but if you could somehow modify your nose... She turned around, walking in the direction of her actual target. She suspected he would have dispatched the other creatures by now anyway. @Grey Knight

Laplace looked at them for a second. "Hey," she asked, "can I shoot you to see how that prime invincibility of yours works?" A few veins pulsed on her forehead in anger, though she seemed unaware of it, thinking she looked rather calm. Then she sighed, anger deflating a bit. "You know, if you were my student I'd tell you to transfer to an English major," she snarked. "It seems like you need the additional classes." She thought back at how quickly they had devoured the candy bar. "How long has it been since you had anything to eat anyway?" She asked, deciding that since she couldn't just shoot them she might as well try to be polite.

The creatures still inside ignored those fleeing. Instead, the Executor smashed in one of the windows with its sword, the two Barghests and the Executor jumping out through it. They all rushed towards the marine, ignoring anything else. The Barghests went in front, mostly because of their higher speed, while the Executor came moving in behind them, blade ready. *** Karin arrived into the shadow of the alley just to see the people running from the emergency exit, including what appeared to be a moving rope? She shook her head, wondering if she should take care of them right here and now. It would save them a lot of trouble, but there was still her original to think about. Then again, given the situation in which he showed up he might just come to her anyway if she did so.

Laplace simply sighed as the young Epic continued rambling. Well, at least she knew they were an Epic at least, no other way they could survive an explosion like that, let alone survive in this world like, well, that. Annoyingly enough she had no clue what their power was, aside from what was obviously a prime invulnerability, which meant she couldn't just shoot them and be done with it. At least she knew they were a they now, which would prevent any future confusion. Sighing again, she fished around in her pocket, somehow finding a candy bar she had forgotten apparently, which she threw at Kokichi. "Here," she said. "Now, can you explain what you just said in a way that actually makes sense?"

The fourth Barghest died to Everest's knives, and the remaining Barghest and the Executor started running, though not towards Everest. Instead they seemed to headed towards one of the windows, a large 2 meter sword appearing in the Executor's hands. Outside the second Executor fell to the ground, the armour still trying to repair for a few seconds before crumbling, revealing the tar-like distorted body beneath. The two Barghests jumped at the man, aiming for his neck, but it was already clear they'd fail. The warrior was clearly experienced, and it wouldn't be hard to use that armour to protect his vulnerable neck. At which point it was it would have been check mate for the Barghests.

Laplace walked through the streets, watching the city, feeling the flow of the people. Subconsciously she moved around other people, nobody touching her. Still, the need to dodge at all annoyed her. Angry, she grabbed her gun, shooting it towards somewhere in the air. Immediately, the person about to walk into her died, the bullet having ricocheted around into the back of his head, spraying those around him with blood, blood that would have hit her if she had shot him directly. "Move it folks," she said coldly, and as one the crowd parted. A bit happier now she kept walking, enjoying the fear and hatred of those around her. As always she wished she could have just done it back when she still taught classes. Some students... After walking for a bit she suddenly stopped, moving towards the side, dodging a stone as the building a few hundred meters in front of her exploded, the stone only just missing the side of her head, and she could feel the cold sweat on the back of her neck. The explosion had been way out of her range, and she had only noticed the rock at the last possible moment, at the point it actually started flying her way. If it had just been a little faster or bigger... Feeling pissed she drew her gun and walked down towards the place of the explosion, noticing the... were they a boy or a girl? Noticing the person walking around in the middle of the ruined building, somehow unscathed aside from a scratch on her head. "Now who are you, and why did this building just explode?" She asked in an angry tone.

Aylitha cursed when the grenade suddenly arrived, then simply looked in shock as the Executor turned around and she saw what she was dealing with. Armour and weapons she had never seen before, even with the constant surveillance she held the city under. Except, she did recognize them, even when she had never seen them. Black Crusade, the words appeared in her mind. An organisation that had never existed, not in this world. If she knew about them, then that meant... The old world? She thought, that should be impossible... Yet the evidence was right before her eyes, and she'd be a failure as a scientist if she simply ignored that. For a second she thought about capturing him, but discarded that idea immediately. No matter how much information he might be able to provide, this was simply too dangerous. Instead, she simply sent a single command: Kill him! The Executor turned towards the newcomer, while the Executor and Barghests inside stopped looking at their enemies, and instead focussed on the the backdoor, starting to walk towards it. The Executor outside raised both hands, a large bone-white halberd appearing, and charged forwards to the newcomer. *** Deep in her domain an avatar of Aylitha entered the room Karin and Hazel were sitting around, apparently playing a game of cards. "We have an immediate situation," she said. "I've prepared the information for transfer, Hazel. Karin, you'll be the only one going, this opponent is too dangerous." She send a look at Hazel, quelling all complaints. After all, Hazel was more important, and Karin could be given a new body. "Have a talk with him first," she told Karin, who went stone-faced when she got the information from Hazel. "Determine the full risk." Karin nodded, and stood up, walking towards one of the alleys.
