  1. nah it was murder because it was against the law, as a skybreaker might say. Even if it was right it was still murder.
  2. Jah Keved's military is crippled
  3. just realized Szeth is probably stuck in Yeddaw now
  4. where is that string of numbers from and do we know what it means? Edit: nvm
  5. More terry goodkind: THREE AND A HALF YEARS AGO Shahlan poked at the cage, and the colorful creature inside shifted on its perch, cocking its head at her. It was the most bizarre thing she’d ever seen. It stood on two feet like a person, though its feet were clawed. It was only about as tall as two fists atop one another, but the way it turned its head as it looked at her showed unmistakable personality. “What does the young lady think of my chicken?” the merchant said proudly, standing with hands clasped behind his back, ample stomach thrust forward like the prow of a ship. Behind, people moved through the fair in a throng. There were so many. Five hundred, perhaps even more, people in the same place. “Chicken,” Shahlan said, poking at the cage with a timid finger. “I’ve eaten chicken before.” “Not this breed!” the Thaylen man said with a laugh. “Chickens for eating are stupid—this one is smart, almost as smart as a man! It can speak. Listen. Jeksonofnone! Say your name!” Hissing, hackles lifting, the chicken's head rose. Shahlan pulled back. The bird let out a slow chicken cackle. It sounded like a chicken, but in her heart she knew it wasn't. In that instant, she completely understood the concept of a chicken that was not a chicken. This looked like a chicken, like most of the chickens she had seen on darkeyes' farms. But this was no chicken. This was evil manifest. Her power, her surgebinding, was also a tool of self-defense. But it would only work on people. It would not work on a chicken. And it would not work on wickedness incarnate. “Jeksonofnone,” the creature said. Shahlan jumped back. The word was mangled by the creature’s inhuman voice, but it was recognizable. “A Voidbringer!” she hissed, safehand to her chest. “An animal that speaks! You’ll bring the eyes of the Unmade upon us.”
  6. I wouldn't put it past Brandon. Kelsier and Jasnah both had meaningful deaths and they still came back
  7. upvoting for "scarcasm" whether it was intentional or not
  8. not really since allomantic power doesn't come from the metal but rather from the patron shard, who uses the metal as a conduit for the power
  9. Maybe i overstated it a bit, but the "faceless immortal" at the end of BoM matches the description of a svrakiss (a Derethi demon) almost exactly. Plus we already have an example of people from Sel being able to meddle on Scadrial (the Ire)
  10. Trell doesn't have to be a shard. The Set almost certainly has ties to Sel, and there aren't any shards left there
  11. http://www.gottabemobile.com/2016/01/20/how-create-website-shortcuts-iphone-homescreen/ I just do this and pretend it's an app
  12. The only thing I don't like about this theory is that the "chess match" analogy sounds a lot like what happened in Mistborn, and I think the Stormlight Archive will have the humans solve Roshar's problems without much intervention from their Shards
  13. beat it with Lift but I answered "No" when it asked me whether she cast spells
  14. The Alethi are noted to be "freakishly tall" by Shallan so I think the average might be normal height
  15. Vasher was normal sized but he can shapeshift and stuff. Nazh was normal sized but "lanky" so I think in general they're roughly the same height on Roshar
  16. Not sure this can even be considered a theory anymore as of Edgedancer, but we know that 1. Ishar encouraged the other Heralds to abandon the Oathpact and abandon Taln 2. Ishar gave Nalan false information regarding the Everstorm that led Nalan to continue to slaughter Surgebinders. 3. "One is almost certainly a traitor to the others." ~Book of the 2nd Desk Drawer: Paragraph 27 (the other epigraphs from the "book of the second desk drawer" discuss the Unmade, but this one is supposedly 12 paragraphs away from those epigraphs which could indicate a change of topic)
  17. TLR could kill prof with a steel compounding blitz. Prof's body doesn't seem to be supernaturally durable, so if TLR could hack off his head before the force field went up he would win imo
  18. so kaladin might literally be able to own the winds?
  19. Well in terms of number of books I think he might never match it especially if secret history counts as a book. In word count he will probably end up having a bigger year than this when mistborn and stormlight books are released in the same year (It's bound to happen sometime)
  20. Did Kaladin just give up a 3-1 lead?
  21. Marsh would win a fight no contest. Plus I like him a lot better as a character than Kaladangst. He also seems to have gone through as much as Kal, if not more, and come out better for it.
  22. Honestly in WoR we never saw a full-plate adolin fight szeth. Given how well Gavilar did in the WoK prologue and that the fight is in a room, i'll go with Adolin
  23. if the guy with the szeth profile voted kaladin you know he's screwed
  24. Kaladin because the winds are his
  25. I think Adolin screwing up right before Dalinar's POV book is a little ominous tbh
