I voted before, but if the RP is going well and we want a big event I wouldn’t oppose calamity leaving.

Well, they used to have a cooler power before an assumed called blizzard nerfed them. EDIT: I originally suggested post-Calamity, but I think pre is better. Upon some reflection, it’s probably more interesting to write when every faction is evil. plus, not all epics are stone cold killers. Curveball, for example, was basically a regular thug.

they kinda run without ever moving lol We can wait a week or two, set up all our stories and raison d’etre, and then our first encounters. That should be plenty of time! EDIT: I’m out for the night. Hopefully we get a few more people signed up and then we can give this a go!

True, I hadn’t considered that they had to be willing. That also sets up potential for vanillas to give themselves to him in turn for protection/food/whatever.

Correct me if wrong, but I think he means if it’s something that would take him 5 hours, with 4 other people following him it only takes 1. It’s linear scaling for power. i might suggest changing him slightly so that he receives less of a boost as he recieves more followers. ie 1 follower =2x 10 followers = 5x 100 =20x etc.

I like him. How much of an increase does he get from his followers? Is their mental capacity affected permanently, temporarily, or at all?

Comatose, you are an astonishingly well written person. Props. That said, I’m alright with either city. Whatever the general consensus is, they’re (relatively) similar in size, Location, and ability to work as an RP setting.

I kinda want Calgary just so we can run a “Calgary stampede” using some bull-powered epic. EDIT: For quick travel we could have a now-diceased epic who created portals all around the city and a few to surrounding areas. Let’s people escape, allows cool bottleneck defence situations, and creates a place epics would naturally congregate.

It looks like Canada is the way to go...any suggestions on specific locations? We should try to get everyone’s input on the style of story they want so we can pick a place that caters to everyone possible.

Hmmmm... stability and this forum don’t seem to be terribly compatible. I’m sure plenty of endings are possible, but one thing I would suggest is having one of the more dedicated members, possibly coma or voidus, DM the thread so that it stays on course to an extent. Give them a super-powerful, reclusive character so they can nudge events along as necessary.

I like this. It fits a lot of Canadian cities well, as well as giving vanillas more of a chance at the spotlight.

I am so proud of the way this has been revived. I won’t be able to write until next Thursday ish due to exams, but then I’m so hyped to start it back up.

Honestly, I wouldn’t oppose a ban on all high epics, period. It would promote a little more paranoia, a little more caution in alliances, etc. We could try to move at a faster pace, killing off the odd character to move things along.

That is easily the greatest insertion of a ponypug in history Also, it depends on whether or not they face it or deny it. let’s say water was your fear; being pushed in and pulled out by someone else wouldn’t count, but consciously choosing to dive in to complete a job or save a loved one would count. That said, evil should stay until were partway through the story for character dev.
