I’ve heard people talking about two versions of tWoK: one where Kaladin kills Szeth, and one where the storms kill him. I’ve only ever read one where storms kill him. Where is the other version? Which is cannon?

I think he means a hightened state of emotion. Similar to the sort he felt while fighting.

Yeah. Navani came out right when Eden started singing, and it just clicked for me. I know it’s really weird.

What if you coated a stone with sand lichen, and left it out in a high storm? That would be really powerful. Or if you grow the lichen all along the ground and slatrified it, you could drown an army.

My main issue with the book is that it seems more like an homage to other books/movies/games than its own thing. That said, I loved it and can’t wait to see the movie!

For Douglas Adams, Dork Gently is WAY better than Hitchhikers Guide. Also, within HG, the wrong things are emphasized. For example everybody talks about the missile that turns into a falling whale, nobody talks about the other missile that becomes a pot of flowers that says “not again!”

Ori and the Blind Forest is really good. Crazy plot! It can be hard to not rage quit though.

I just got a lot of presents, and people know I like books, so that plus my usual stach is quite a bit. Right now, I am reading: Astrophisics for People in a Hurry, To Green Angel Tower, Forge of Darkness, Enemy of God (about King Arthur), The Book of Dust (sequel to Golden compass), Isaac Asimov’s Treasury of Humor (meh), Foundation and Empire, The Feed (not so good), Men at Arms, Name of the Wind(very good), Surely You’re Joking Mr Feynman, and Children of The Mind.

I guess there’s our answe to the perpetual “does Brandon lurk in the forums” question. No Nightblood!

I love the idea that Odium is mostly hatred, but claims to be passion, and the idea that Odium can take emotions. That is probably similar to what he was promising Dalinar at the end of OB. Here is one issue I have with this theory though: we don't know If Painspren are really of Odium. If they are for sure, then I'd say their ability to take pain comes from the same place as Odium's. If not, then I think it's just a Shard thing. Do we know of any other Shards that can do this?
