@Yata Sorry I didn't include the actual quotes. Here they are: And: Since Frost is a Dragon, and he's immortal, and he's one of the races on Yolen that some of the original Shardbearers were, some of the original shardbearers were immortal dragons.

I created a proto-version of this on the Ym board, but wanted to put it here. What we know: Ym believes that there was originally one being, but it couldn't do anything because it was alone. So, it split up into many peices to experience. Some of the original shardholders were immortal (they were dragons). You can find the link to the WoB in the WoB link on the shard. Some of the original shardholders were good people. What I think: Adonalsium was shattered for several reasons, one of which was the fact that with an all powerful being, the world was stagnating. This would be especially frustrating for immoral being with a long-term perspective on things. Since some of the shardholders were good, there has to be a reason other than power. Ideas?

Origin/Nature of spren. Spoiler?
Farnsworth replied to AnAirSickLowLander's topic in Stormlight Archive
It could be that all spren with a specific purpose and little intelligence (rotspren, alespren) were always there, but after the Recreance the intelligent spren were there. Since they have no specific purpose I don't know why Honor would have made them. -
Could there be something to his religion? The idea about one becoming many seems very much like the shattering of Adonalsium. This is a bit of a stretch, but since some of the original shardholders seemed to be very good people, there was clearly a reason for his shattering beyond power seeking. So, was this because the universe was stagnating with Adonalsium? Similar idea to Ym's religion.

If Shallan is a Lightweaver, then her Order's color is red, just as the Windrunner's color is blue. In the image of the Knights Radient, which I attatched, it shows all the colors. If Kaladin got red eyes at the end of WoR, then at some point, Shallan should be getting red eyes. If it becomes a known thing (which it might be among the Ghostbloods) that Voidbringers have red eyes, this could be a serious problem.

It's probably just that Raoden has longer legs than Adien, and that makes a difference. Raoden isn't really "walking", but he is using his own magic to move so he probably needs to take the size of his body into account. If Raoden has steps twice and long, he will need to have in his mind half of Adien's steps.

Does Jaddeth exist? I always thought he was just priest dogma.

Could this have anything to do with Hoid's ability to understand all languages? It they are all based off the same patterns, that could be much easier magically.

I've heard some people say that this is supposed to be Sanderson's Theoryland. I was wondering, could there be a cosmere tarvalon.net? The difference is that Tarvalon.net is almost an RPG. You have to take a test to become Aes Sedei, there are different ajas that you can join, you get titles, the whole thing. Any interest in having an equivalent?

Since they are from Sel, and they are worldhoppers, could they be Secret history spoiler:

Since dragons are immortal, they probably have a different sense of how time works than humans. Maybe they would have a larger chance of taking a shard that can see the future?

The origin is a gem. Could this mean something?

It does look very much like the Radiant one, and since the Radiant surges are symmetrical whereas these are not, I would imagine that it's a distorted version of the Radiant surges. This makes me think Cultivation, especially since there is a woman.

I feel like Bavdin was a dragon, because of his association with the sun, and dragons have an association with fire.

I recently read this quote by Sanderson: Since Frost is from Yolen, and he is a dragon, then one of those races is definitely dragons. So is is extremely likely that some of the Shardholders were dragons. Which ones?

theory Hoid is very upset about something
Farnsworth replied to Farnsworth's topic in Cosmere Discussion
If he was at the shattering though, wouldn't he feel very guilty about the goings on? That would explain why he wants to kill Odium. -
I was wondering if we are ever going to mesh the Shadows of Self and Bands of Morning spoiler boards with the regular Mistborn board? Personally, I can't really separate in my head any of the Wax and Wayne books, and any theory that I'm going to make is going to cross all books. Does anybody else have the same problem, or is it just me?

theory Hoid is very upset about something
Farnsworth replied to Farnsworth's topic in Cosmere Discussion
It's true that he doesn't display it on Roshar, so I think you're right about something between WoR and BoM. And it could be temporary. I don't think that Hoid would be susceptible to something like that for a very long time, since he can heal his soul. Also, he was at the Shattering: -
theory Hoid is very upset about something
Farnsworth replied to Farnsworth's topic in Cosmere Discussion
Maybe he was at the Shattering, feels guilty about it, is trying to make up for it by preventing Odium from shattering other shards further (like he said in the Letter), but is failing. Hence the guilt, and sadness. -
theory Hoid is very upset about something
Farnsworth replied to Farnsworth's topic in Cosmere Discussion
Thanks for the Elantris addition! I think it has something to do with guilt. That would explain the drinking. Was he at the shattering? -
Alright, here goes: 1: When Wax saw Hoid on Scadrial disguised as a beggar, he was drinking perfume to get drunk. This is something that serious alcoholics do, and Hoid must be really miserable to do that. 2: Hoid beats the crap out of Kelsier in Secret History. He is incapable of harming living people, so that's out of the question for him. But, when he gets the chance to hurt a dead person, he does. Something is really hurting him enough to drive him to get sadistic pleasure out of Kelseir's pain. 3: Hoid disguises himself as Wit while on Roshar. When he does, he spends his time insulting everybody because he can. It's as if he can't physically harm the living, but he is trying to as much as possible. This one could be unrelated, but added to the first two it could mean something. Ideas?
