  1. BTW, if you edit in votes, please @mention me so I don't miss them. Thanks!
  2. Straw had heard that some student, Nethwyl, had been severely injured, but survived. Oddly, Nethwyl had been raised to El'the in the same month. Maybe their Master liked that kind of crazy stuff? Straw had heard that some of the Masters for the more magical fields were like that. It'd make sense, given how they were almost insane already. Straw could remember the Master Namer bursting into an Arithmetics classroom and threatening them. Or maybe she had been warning them? Maybe both. Regardless, Straw would make sure to watch out around her and the other magical Masters. You never knew when one of them would push you off a rooftop or something like that. Anyway, apparently some student, Maern, found out that Nethwyl had been lying about something last month. No one really knew what Nethwyl had been lying about, but it was probably something bad. Hordes of students, including Straw, had gathered to lodge complaints about Nethwyl's bad behavior. After all, lying shouldn't be acceptable at the University. Maybe Nethwyl would even turn out to be one of those evil Skindancers that were driving people insane. They seemed like the sort of beings that would be interested in going into magical fields, as those tended to be the most destructive as well.
  3. Ironically, that would be spreading out the votes, which is the very thing you were bothered about.
  4. First of all, I have a fairly big example in the rules doc that covers some of this this. 1. Not allowed. 2. Not allowed, see answer for #1. 3. Allowed. 4. Allowed. No. It worked that way in QF16, but was changed. This change was mostly due to the fact that the Shades were nerfed (roleblock instead of conditional kill, anonymous doc).
  5. Shades are allowed to edit their text when they type stuff out initially, but after that they shouldn't. So, for example, you can quickly fix a typo as you type it, but you can't edit in whole new sentences and have them be confirmed as coming from the same person. They are not told the results of the Shade vote (which results in the roleblock). They'll still be able to see the results of the regular thread vote, if that's what you're asking.
  6. As night begins to fall, your party of 22 walks through the forest, with traitors among you. Good luck. 8. I was defending him since I thought that it was far more likely that it was just badly phrased, rather than thinking that he was saying they were confirmed good. Silber had also quoted "(and perhaps bad if you are a skindancer)" in his second post as evidence that he was not assuming it, which supports my interpretation. I was also annoyed that you had said that that post alone would make him your highest suspicion, which I thought was overreacting to it. There are quite a lot of posts you can look at this game, and I'm not a huge fan of lynching someone over one comment compared to their overall behavior. Hmm, so Bard lied. I'm curious as to what he'll have to say about that. I'll retract on Coda and Furamirionind and vote Bard Bard. IDK if Elkanah is telling the truth about the RP lie, but I'll wait to see what Bard says. RP lies and PM lies counting as lies is very annoying, since they both seem to offer a pretty easy way to explain stuff away. Note: I suspect that the Skindancers have had someone go into Physicking, both to prevent the village from gaining access to it and also because it would give them several useful abilities. Psychological Counseling would allow the Skindancers to use the more deadly fields without going insane. Also, I think we'll probably start seeing more people going insane soon. People will have gained elevations in insanity-causing fields, and will presumably be using their abilities. I also suspect that people will be staying at the Mews due to how cheap it is, and will also be going insane from that.
  9. So, here you said that your suspicion is baseless, and then you say this: What is your suspicion, Coda?
  10. Huh, interesting that Bard was attacked but survived. I could see it being a WGG. Hmm... does attacked == sabotaged, or would there be a different notation for that? There's a reasonable chance that Striker went insane from the Mews. 10% is not insignificant. He said nothing of the sort, which makes me slightly suspicious of you. He just said that we have two El'the, and it'd be very good if they aren't Skindancers. In my opinion, we should be happy about elevations in general, since they benefit the village more than they benefit the Skindancers. However, we should be suspicious of everyone, regardless of elevation. Furamirionind, I'm curious as to why you parsed it as an assumption that they weren't Skindancers. On a slightly related note, I'm going to guess that the two El'the were either investing fully in fields that other people didn't really go into, or that they were spreading out their EP each turn. I'm also going to guess that they started at the Windy Tower, and thus had an advantage over other students. Personally, I think that avoiding suspicion is fairly NAI. No one really wants to get lynched, regardless of alignment. Acting like this annoys me greatly. If you don't want to be lynched, argue against it. Maybe that'd convince people to not vote on you. 11. Last minute RP FTW: A few days ago... Straw was sitting in a chair and writing a paper. The paper was quite odd, but it was rather interesting. It was about serial killers throughout history, their motives, and other information about them. There had been several serial killers who had apparently graduated from the University and used their powers for evil. It turns out that sympathy, alchemy, and naming are all very good at killing people. Straw silently hoped that people chose not to go into those fields, since they tended to cause a decent bit of destruction. while doing research for his paper, Straw had run into stories about the Chandrian, who were known for suddenly appearing and killing people. Straw didn't think that they'd ever come near the University, and he hoped that they never did in the future. With all these people going mad, the Chandrian were the last thing that were needed. Another dreaded myth was demons or malicious Fae. Apparently there was suspicion that Skindancers were the ones currently haunting the University. They'd come by the University twice in the past, and been driven out each time, usually at great cost. Straw could only hope that this time went better for the students and staff at the University, and that the Skindancers would be defeated again.
  12. I guess I should take my vote off Striker even if he did vote for me. I'll put a vote on Araris to spread things out. He's an noble so he can afford to take the hit. I'd also like to see a bit more stuff from him when he has the time. For reference, I was an elim in the Death Note QF, but that was a long time ago and I was with a partner. I was also evil in Wyrm's Ghostblood game, but I was only allowed to talk during the night due to the rules, so I didn't really say anything. The closest I've been to being a typical elim was in Steel's Princess Bride game. Such is the life of having a 5% elim rate.
  13. Straw eventually caught up to Bryn after she tried to run away. She looked kind of scared, but then calmed down when she realized that it was just him. Bryn stammered out an explanation that she hadn't set the fire, which was a good thing. Straw wasn't much of a fan of people setting things on fire. Bryn eventually explained that someone had set the fire in some sort of experiment. Who would even be doing experiments in the Archives? The master Archivist and the scrivs would probably try to murder them if they found out who set the fire. Bryn seemed somewhat interested in the books Straw had found but was curious if they'd had anything to do with the fire. However, before he could answer, Bryn started speculating about who might have set the fire. Straw thought that the most likely answer was one of the supposed Skindancers that were around the university. It might have been explainable if one or two people went insane, but three? Three meant that there was something bad going on. And exactly one person going insane each month sounded like they were planned out by someone. Straw supposed that if the pattern continued, someone was about to go mad very soon...
  14. It's just because he hasn't posted much and I wanted to see more from him. Obviously, he's not going to be posting if he's asleep so I'll change from Haelbarde to Zillah. @Zillah we haven't seen much from you today. Is there anything you want to say about the game right now?
  15. My vote has now been removed from CadCom and is back to Haelbarde. Thanks for removing your vote.
  16. Yeah, it's weird how few people have voted. I'm annoyed that both of the people voting on me ( @StrikerEZ @CadCom ) have incorrectly stated that I was trying to stop people from spreading out votes, when the opposite was true. I'd prefer to not be taken on the Horns due to people misreading the thread. I also don't see how posting graphs and stuff is evidence that I'm an eliminator. Why not vote on people who are flying under the radar and not posting anything? Coda. Haelbarde. StrikerEZ. CadCom. I realize that you two are Edema Ruh, but I'd like to see some better explanations for why you two voted on me.
  17. Um... I think you're mixing me up with someone else. I have always been arguing in favor of spreading out votes. Araris and DeTess were the ones arguing against spreading out votes last turn.
  18. Straw had been walking around the Archives when he began to smell some smoke. Eventually, he went to go ask about it, and found out that a fire had been set by some mischievous student. It sounded rather like something Bryn would know about, so he decided to go find her and ask about it. As he walked to the front of the Archives, Straw noticed that there were a lot of students who were desperately studying for admissions. He'd been doing much the same for the last few days. Eventually, Straw arrived at the front of the Archives, and saw that Bryn was already there. As he watched, she walked up to one of the librarians and started talking to him. Unfortunately for her, it looked like the librarian was angry at her for some reason. Eventually, Straw saw Bryn stammer an explanation or excuse and then run away. That was unusual. Usually, she always had some kind of excuse ready. Straw decided to follow her and ask if she knew anything about the fire. If she didn't, they could always study together like they had done a bit ago. He'd found a few books on pranks that she might enjoy, and had even pranked someone last month. ( @Burnt Spaghetti )
  19. @Haelbarde hasn't posted so far. I'd be interested to hear what he has to say. Haelbarde. Walin has posted, so I'll retract my vote on him and move it to Coda, who has only posted once every turn except for T1M1. 21. GMs typically prefer it when you add green for a retraction since it makes it easier to spot votes. It also makes voting difficult to follow when looking back, and potentially breaks the rule about not changing the meaning of a post when editing. @Elbereth / @little wilson any GM preference for this?
  22. You have to put his name in green to retract. Ex: [*color=green]Straw[/color*] (without *) -> Straw I'll put a complaint on Walin. I'd like to hear more from them.
  23. So, what have the insane people said in the past? Not much! Hemalurgic Headshot: Posted two RP posts. Voted on Karnage for too much bold text, but no actual suspicion. Probably killed due to being noble. Sart: Posted three RP posts. One of them had some opinions on the fields and their advantages. The two others just had poke votes. One of them did express the desire to start hunting for Skindancers more. Probably killed due to encouraging analysis. Lumgol: Posted some analysis of the various lodging options, one RP post, and analysis of spreading out EP instead of going all-in for one field. She mentioned wanting to go into Archives. Probably killed due to being noble and wanting to go into Archives. I think we can also assume that all three were targeted partially because of their low posting rate. I find it very odd that the Skindancers were willing to take the odds of sabotaging two nobles when they could be staying at the Horse and Four. I guess that nobles are valuable enough to justify the risk. I also suppose Lumgol could have gone insane from staying at Mews, but I find that to be very unlikely. @Rathmaskal has only made two posts this game. @Walin, @GreenRover, and @CadCom have only made three posts. Any thoughts on the game so far?
